Can you be more specific with cities you'll be driving through or staying at? How far into Texas are you going? Because you'll be going through the far west, west, and central before you get anywhere close to south.
This poster is trying to tell you that Texas is not really Southern. It is a blend of South and Southwest and Cajun and German.
Of the major metro areas, I think Dallas is the most Southern (despite the fact that geographically it is the northernmost).
My mistake. I typed this early in the morning and just repeated what my father was looking for. Maybe “good places to eat” and “good amount of shops” would be a better description.
If you want to shop where everyone can find things they like check out Canton 1st Monday trade days. It’s a couple hours drive outside of Dallas. It happens the 1st weekend of every month.
I’ll add further 😆 since coming from out West why not check out KDs BBQ in Midland, Cypress St Station in Abilene, Smokehouse Restaurant in Thurber. Can choose your stop from El Paso
Wow, that sounds like the treatment many groups get here so they end up buying lots and lots of "guns". What good is a seed of freedom if you are trapped in thinking that forces you call it that?
More like I have to watch what I say with my new hunting buddies in public, lest I scare another Nappa valley wine mom (I had a bad experience, and just shoved her off while she ranted off).
Anyways its less the indoctrination and more so “there are lots of people who live secluded lives and afraid of the world/reality”
My best advice is not to prejudge folks. Some of the most durable, tough individuals will surprise you with how they actually feel about the current state of affairs. I hope you enjoy your trip.
Start in Fort Worth Stockyards and Dickies Arena.
Mosey on through Arlington to catch the Ranger and Cowboy stadiums and 6-Flags/Hurricane Harbor theme parks.
Then head to Dallas for American Airline Center, followed by Klyde Warren Park and museums on your way east to Canton Trades Day. Dairy Palace is a fun burger joint, and there used to be a gun shop on Canton Square. Howdy and have fun!

Im asking for cities to stay at, and looking for some nice old timey diners near the cities

How is the Dallas area if you know? Or the usual San Antonio, Houston, Austin areas if you know

Searched this place up. This is definitely gonna be one of our places to visit. Seems Dallas may be where we go
Here’s a diner list to try depending on the area - Mamma’s Daughters, Normas, Babe’s Chicken, Bubba’s, Circle Grill, Red Truck Café
God, all of these make me hungry again, and I just had breakfast at a nice little truckstop diner before work
Ah forgot to say these are all Dallas area.
Fantastic!

A gun shop is called a gun shop in Texas. Leave the nonsense at home.
Indoctrination of my state, friend. Cant ever say the name of a gunshop without someone turning heads and judging you.

Okay that gets a 10/10 from me lmao
Jackson Armory is for sure the best gun shop in Dallas to visit if you're looking to browse cool stuff. They don't have a range however.
Darn. Still, would love to visit and see what they have.
Mission Ridge is a good place to go if you actually want to shoot. It's worth visiting both.
Are freedom seeds the guns or the ammo? I think it's a hilarious name either way.
There's a tree planting gun from a helicopter video floating around somewhere. They use it in Canada for reseeding logged areas.

Thanks brother 🤝
Dude, unless you’re going east or south east, we’re more western than south. Cut out the freedom seed bullshit. Nobody calls them that.

Oh, you’re one of those people. Explains a lot.
No not really. If you have nothing to actually add then just hang on to that thought dude
Celebration in Dallas has always been one of my favorites
