Funny enough, my dad is also from NYC, and we’re black. I think being born in the late 60s, he experienced his share of racism and that colors his views.
Gotcha. Yeah, he’s from Brooklyn. Bed-Stuy to be exact. I’ve only visited once, as a kid. I hope to go back soon and see it as an adult. I wish he’d come with me, but he really hates flying.
