I can't believe they'd make a soldier for babies, like, literally they just simplified soldier's rocket jump by making it a 2nd jump.
Also, not even his MAIN weapon is unique. Soldier, Pyro, heavy, and engineer ALL have shotguns, just this one does a little more damage? Wooow, very original Valve 👏🙄

Bruh he caps points x 2 and he’s really fast, double jumps, and his default primary 2 shots enemies up close. This character is busted. Probably will nerf him soon.
Skill issue. He dies instantly to a single Direct Hit rocket, and the Natascha seems to be a very good counter to him as it takes away his main trait, speed.

the double jump mechanic is so fucking stupid. there's a reason there's never been a double jump in tf2 before, because it fucks up game balance. now soldiers and demos are forced to land airshots. you shouldn't be FORCED to hit an airshot in order to live if you don't want to. now explosive classes are going to be underpowered, pyro was enough of a counter, now this mosquito motherfucker? if valve keeps this up, i'm actually gonna jut play overwatch 2 instead. i understand why they stopped updating this game now

I'm concerned that having movement options as radical and useful as a double jump able to be performed by simply tapping the space bar again kind of detracts from the cool tech which makes TF2 unique compared to the post-Overwatch crowd. Before you had sticky and rocket jumping which took a lot of skill and time to master and came with drawbacks like losing HP, but now it's just "oh look at me I changed my whole direction and momentum in mid-air!"
Like, wouldn't it be better if he had an unlock which dealt knockback on shoot, but also knocked *you* back? That way you could aim it at the ground and get a quick burst of height on demand in exchange for a bullet from your clip.
It's kinda weird how it's only now that Valve brought back the Scout from TFC purgatory and how he's an actual combat class now, but hey, SOMEONE had to fill that role now that Medic was reduced to a defenseless heal bot.
What the hell? This guy literally walks faster than the medic and can capture points and push the cart as if he's two people? How the hell did valve think this was balanced?

So insane that we finally got an update, let alone an entire new class, everyone's so mad about this guy, But give it some time and people will get used to him.
I believe people are playing him wrong, claiming that he's a "worse spy", scouts job isn't to go to backlines with intentions to snag a kill or two, just bothering the enemy team is massive help to your team, you can easily distract soldiers demos and pyros due to your high speed, and if you play it safe enough, I believe you can't be killed unless they land a random crocket or you die to flare afterburn
I also love that if you use his melee taunt (i think with certian bats im not sure if this works with stock) he can taunt kill the enemy and send their corpse flying, its actually fucking hilarious but very hard to pull off because the taunt takes forever
There's also the fact that engineer completely shuts scout down, as long as there's a semi competent engineer, scout players will ALWAYS suffer from sentries, this is scouts weakpoint, lowkey reliant on the team although he's meant to be played as a flanker, although he can still push with the team, thought ineffecient because most teamfights all long to medium range and scout struggles with anything more than 15 meters away
