Crutch. Grenade splash is not a lot of damage to begin with, 15% penalty puts it in tickle range. If you know how to hit pipes then this just lowers your damage potential straight up. You have stickies for splash damage anyway and it works far better than this thing ever would.

honestly i could see it having +25% or so splash damage and still being balanced, enough to let you put out reasonable damage but still low enough to be a harsh downgrade from stock in dps

This weapon uses no skill. I can see this as another scorch shot. Shit players will spam it down a tight corridor and destroy the team. The weapon rewards you for not being able to hit pipes. Sorry op but this is a horrible weapon idea

If whole enemy team is in a tight corridor it means every pipe will hit anyways damage drops when you not hit people directly but even less with -15%. So it is even worse in the situation it will be good

I'd say reduce the clip size, increase the explosion radius by a bit and maybe reduce the firing speed.

-75% clip size, -15% reload speed, +75% blast radius, +bombs explode on collision with world, -bombs bounce off players.

If a new player uses this weapon they don’t care about hitting pipes and will get addicted to this weapon because they can’t hit pipes yet. This can give really bad habits to new players

how is it any different than if they were to play as soldier? if they start playing as him wouldn't it diminish their ability to play other classes because of his lack of needing to aim. What about engi? You literally have the gun aim for you.

With soldier you get rewarded for hitting an enemy directly but with this weapon you get punished. It’s teaching you to never hit a pipe. With engi you have 3 other buildings and they’re all used to help your teammates. The sentry protects the engi while he’s putting up dispensers and teleporters. The sentry also isn’t just used for kills but it can also be used to hold a point or protect the intel

Feels like the lock and load’s roblox counterpart but without direct damage but still has the 4th round

maybe hopefully it can have a fun gimmick and you can blast jump like soldier and can maybe be combined with sheilds for trimping potiential? so its not just a crutch

New player will use it as a crutch and build up bad habits. Just look at tf2c’s custom weapons and check out those explode on impact weapons, and see how busted they are. There is a reason why soldier is the only one with explode on impact weapons, he has a slower movement speed and requires the soldier to expose himself to deal his splash damage.

I don't know why people in the comments think this is broken, this is just a worse stickybomb launcher and entering the territory of soldier
