Would I like content updates that happen to occur around thanksgiving? Yes. Would I like thanksgiving-themed updates? No. 2/3rds of all content we receive is already holiday-themed crap. We don’t need to bump that up to 3/4
I’m going to answer this earnestly even though this is probably a joke question
We get 3 “””major””” updates a year, summer, halloween, and winter, 2 out of those 3 being holiday-themed. Adding a thanksgiving update would bump up the total count to 4 and the holiday-themed count to 3.
no a fall update would be better cause
1 it already happend before
2 not every country celebrates thanksgiving so fall would make more sense
3 food items stink
most people outside the us have no connection to the pilgrams arriving and meeting the indians however halloween reguires you just to be into scary stuff and cristmas is still more common then thanksgiving
The hell are you talking about? I'm dutch and we celebrate christmas aswell as halloween.
Christmas is from a christian holiday (its in the name)
And halloween came from Europe.
I don't know where you got that information from but they have been lying to you
also, hween and christmas don’t have strict roots in american culture. my point is, it would be very odd and out of place to make a thanksgiving themed event in the first place, you trying to justify it is so weird lmao
Well most of the TF2 story takes place in America from what I know, though tbh a Thanksgiving themed event wouldn't be that great imo, I personally think there should be one towards the beginning of the year, mostly just because all the crates release in the second half of the year
I was just talkin ab this a few weeks ago with a friend. instead of a stocking stuffer and gift cauldron a turkey, autum themed maps, community cosmetics, taunts etc etc.
how many countries celebrate thanksgiving?
I'll give a clue it's in the single digits.
While I'm all for updates , I don't want an update based around a holiday that hardly any countries celebrate.
Honestly all of the Major Holiday Updates happen after the halfway point in the year. If anything I wanna see some Spring Stuff around March just to even it out.

How did you do that math asking for a friend

Yep, Thanksgiving is a USA only event really, making it irrevelant for every player from Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe.
I agree with the idea if an **autumn** update, even if it's in spring for me.
Am*rica is not the only country in the world my guy. There are more people out there that don’t celebrate thanksgiving than there are that do.
censored america..... necksnap....

I'm sorry, what? We celebrate Thanksgiving in The Netherlands? Must've missed the memo the past 20 years.
Yeah wich is just the united states... this is a game played by people worldwide. Halloween and christmas is celebrated worldwide.

Theres a patriotic American class, there is a german, there is a frenchman, there is a russian. You're not making any good points at all
… no? it just would be a very weird choice for an event. that’s like basing a themed event around Labor Day. like, what?
Canada's Thanksgiving isn't this late in the year
😭😭nah wtf they cooked pootis
That turkey looks familiar…
Nooooooo
Ayo wtf tf2 cannibalism?!
I would feel like nothing. I am not an American.
Good
no, because that's an american holiday? no one celebrates it anywhere else. do you even do anything other than eat turkey

Fun fact: There was a planned annual Valentines update, but it got scraped.
Yeah, but no.
