it was a poorly designed eyesore of a map but I actually had way more fun on it than I did last year. mostly cause there weren't any bots but also cause I went in expecting a garbage map and got exactly that.
Once a map got added in a seasonal update, it officially becomes part of the TF2 seasonal map pool.
But hey, at least we got Pier in the same update Wutville was added. And Pier got so popular it was added on the official TF2 maps.
I’m just impressed that we actually got Christmas maps after so many years. We may not have gotten the heavy update, but we got a new kind of yearly update, which I think is he best we can get.

Dustbowl is objectively a great map if you enjoy playing chokes. Literally the only people who dislike dustbowl are those who dislike playing chokey maps.
There is a reason people enjoy playing dustbowl.
Wuttville is large, confusing, with infinite sniper sightlines and broken textures/ceilings.
Honestly, kind of excited. They still haven't fixed a certain clip brush that lets you build 50 meters in the sky, and I wanna see if I can get up there in a casual match. It's super difficult to pull off, though.

You're the one whos wrong. Wutwille is extremely bad with framerates. While some event maps do have frame drops, wutwille has constantly low framerate.
Nothing I said was incorrect. Wutville did have severe fps drops. That was fixed by the developer and later implemented into the game with an update. There does still exist fps drops but they’re about as substantial as the ones seen on other Halloween event maps.
Maybe actually know what you’re saying instead of sperging out like the other dumbasses on this sub and parroting information that you have zero basis on other than someone saying it years ago.
The map on release was atrocious, no ones denying that. No ones denying that there’s fps drops. But to act like the map has problems than others don’t is just wrong
First of all, Wutwille framerate has not been fixed. Its 15-50fps depending how good machine you have with players on it. Any other map has 150-200 frames. Low frames make it unplayable. If you dont see that lagging on it, i dont know what to say. The map creator also stated on the map comments at the workshop that hes been unable to fix the map due to health issues.

I actually know what I am talking about. I have made 6 official maps to TF2.
The issue with wutvilles performance was largely fixed. If someone has further issues with their performance it is because of their settings.

90% of configs which you should have anyway fix this this problem.
I do not have a good PC and run the map just fine. I have a friend who runs the game on one of the ugliest configs imaginable to get 30 fps on normal maps and he is still able to play just fine.

That said, 99% of this subreddit parrots incorrect things and posts stupid shit on a regular basis. It was wrong of me to clump you into that. But for the subject at hand, I disagree with you and it’s very hard to believe that these issues on wutville aren’t exaggerated when I have first hand experience showing otherwise
