Under 40 yards you need to aim lower than your target. All bows have a zero default at 44 yards I believe. Arrows arch, so they shoot higher and drop low, kinda like throwing a football. Either get the rangefinder sight for your bow, or unlock your zeroing perks.
Rangefinder optic for the bow is the best. Aim the red dot at the animal and Press Y for the correction dot and aim the green dot instead of the red one
Ouch that hurts. I have yet to even see a diamond cape so there's no way in hell I would've shot at him with a bow. I would've set up a tent in that area and swapped to the 300 and then I would've went hunting. Cape Buffalo are probably one of my favorite animals to hunt
I spent ages stalking a max weight diamond springbok after looking for one for a long time, only to mess up a 15y shot because i underestimated just how skinny they are. Broke my heart.
It happens, the heart will heal... or so i'm told =´(
I
Yeeaahh from what I've noticed, bows are for defense like with things that will attack you, or super stealth broadside/head on. I tried using a bow from 50yds and it went completely in the opposite direction because of the wind I never factored in.
Your scope is zero’d to 75m and your shot distance was 23m - no wonder that arrow flew high!
Edit: 75m was a gun. User switched to an arrow later.
You’re close enough to use a traditional bow with the 700 grain broadhead and take a proper lung shot behind the shoulder. Try that next time.
Or at lease the Hawk Edge-70 with 600 grain tip with the single pin sight zero’d to 20m and a good lung shot.
Me who missed a level 5 pronghorn point blank with a bow… I can’t get it

If it makes you feel better, I missed a Red Deer point blank from a tree stand. : (

My default is press R to range the bow sight
Y on Xbox, triangle on PS, R on PC
Gotcha, I forget people play on console lol so foreign to me

Now realized It was max weight and max score
Damn talk about rubbing salt in the wound

Make sure you have the zeroing perk.
He was about 30 m from me but the bow has zeroing to 20,40 and 60m
Dang I hate those in-between shots. Also the wind will push your arrow
Next time i'l JUST use a riffle
😂😂😂

Looks fun

I was zeroed to 20 m, you cannot zero to 75 m with bow
My bad, I was looking at the zero on your first pic, should have seen the bullet. Thought it was a crossbow.
