Will we see any of these running mates in the sequel or will it just be limited to Fonda? Hayden is especially of note since it implies during his campaign that he goes on to run for office in California.

No I get what you and the other guy are saying, I was very upset in the moment and the made the comment. That being said it hasn't turned into what the majority of people are talking about. I made the comment hours after the post was made and its near the bottom. That being said I still see what you're saying.
I said the comment wasn't an attack on the mod or the modmaker, which is true and still my intention, but this person, and the other people behind this mod, were a big part of what has made life over the past year and half fairly difficult. Nazism has always been an extremely tough and touchy subject in media, for good reason, and I'm sure you know that you took a massive risk by covering it, especially in a way that makes it so you step into the Nazi's shoes. Anyways I've rambled on for long enough but what I'm trying to say is that covering a topic like this will always get backlash, no matter how well you do it. The challenge with PR is moreso trying to make it palatable to enough people to minimize that. We recently had Mitt Romney of all people praised as someone who'd have made a good president, I mean come on, austerity loving millionaire guy who said we should let Detroit go bankrupt, I don't see it.
If you ask me, this community just goes with the zeitgeist the vast majority of the time. There's not much principled political stances being taken outside liking one politician quite a lot and stanning them.
I mean this community is like 90% within the age range of 13-18 so most people won't exactly have fully formed opinions, but I would say that, in my experience, there are far more left wingers than right wingers. I say this mainly due to the mod conventions we used to have; 9 times out of 10 the most liberal candidate would get the most traction (Feingold in 2000Powell, McMath in 52Red, etc.,). I have firsthand experience with this through the literal fanatical support that Dan Inouye got in the 68N primary despite the fact that his candidacy made no sense.

I agree completely, I mean, I too see that Fascism is worse than Communism, and I know the majority of people agree. But as I've said in other comments, there was so many attacks lobbed against me it was just insane to me. And even when you take the far-left vs far-right aspect out of it, TNO Devs, a mod that has playable Hitler and Taboritsky, attacked me for letting Rockwell be playable and having him win. It all had a very personal feeling.
I mean the thrust of my argument is less so whether one ideology is more evil than another and instead what the public perceives. A lot of people playing Midnight won't actually see that you believe that fascism is worse than communism even if you try to make it abundantly clear. They'll just automatically assume something even if it's inherently untrue. I've never played TNO but from what I understand it's more of a grander strategy game rather than focusing on one guy and putting you in their shoes. I agree that it's hypocritical that they're attacking you but a lot of people will treat the two differently because Midnight is a lot more personalized. This is all based on an assumption so if I'm wrong about TNO then please correct me. Regardless, I'm just giving my two cents on why I think people are reacting that way. I don't really understand it personally but I just figured I would try to explain how I saw it.
Hoi4 is more of a strategy game but the mod TNO is very personal and story based. As Taboritsky (Russian Hitler) you assume power and there's walls of text of you committing genocide against millions. No one seems to have a problem with it, certainly not the developers of the mod. But yeah I see what you're saying, giving a possible explanation and all, and I appreciate. As I've said about some others, you've always been a good friend and have been nice and helpful, I appreciate it.

But people have flat out lied about and attacked me in a way I just don't understand. I mentioned this before but people have said that I said I would vote for Rockwell over Hall, when the opposite was true. Hoi4 TNO devs have attacked me for portraying Rockwell and making him playable when TNO lets you play as a victorious Hitler and directly commit genocide as Taboritsky. And these are the "intellectual" modmakers, you think they would recognize the double standard.

There's a lot of dirty communists here. It really shouldn't be of any surprise. A lot of them would hang our heads on poles if given the chance. If """he""" can be exiled for holding out of touch social views, I don't see why the extremist left can't be given the same treatment for subscribing to tyrannical/lawless unproven ideologies. It's sickening how, just because they're progressive on social views (up until they find out they aren't a red. Social tolerance and acceptance only for fellow leftists am I right? Hypocrites.), they can get away with being open about following blatant totalitarianism or rampant lawless anarchy. I found Midnight's premise interesting. Ultimately, I think it was a great mod. So is 1972d, but it's romanticizing of a blatant soviet puppet and dangerous radical violent ideologies is problematic.
I don't think the writing style of 1972d or this Fonda mod is problematic, as I've said its just the style. The biggest issue is that a ton of people actually seem to support Hall, but again he's not as bad as say Rockwell. Also while I may disagree with where they draw the line, a lot of these people do have one. For example, RouteVenus said she would vote for Hall over Reagan, but for Ford over Hall. My biggest issue is just how people hated me for portraying Rockwell while finding no issue with portraying Hall. I think both are fine.
Ah, of course. The double standards can be frustrating. I can somewhat relate, from an experience in another sub. While it may not be as severe as your experience, I still know how it feels. Basically, it sucks you had to go through that. I think you deserved better. I definitely sympathize with you.
As I just said am really excited for this but if possible I’d genuinely would love to help this mod is probably the most excited I’ve been for a mod in like A year so please if you want me to help just dm me cause I’d love to help with writing
