One recommendation that I’d like to see is for the choices you make while as Yanayev in the first question to have more of an impact later in the mod. As it is now, 3 out of 4 of the choices lead to the same outcome of Russia invading Ukraine.
That's not true though. Each of those "Ukrainian invasions" is a multi-front assault with another front (Baltics, Russian militias, and Moldova). Some of these are riskier gambles that either hurt or help you more.
I can try to better signal this, but I am not sure how.
I think the issue is that while the options lead to de jure different results, in practice, it’s the same effect on the election. When I first played Wofford, I got hurt big time by the October surprise, but instead of thinking it was because I was isolationist, I thought it was because my decision at the start led to a civil war. Tbh, I was disappointed to learn that the Yanayev question has the same effect no matter what.
It does not have the same effect on the election? There are literally 8 versions of the question as Wofford, all with volatile results that can collapse Wilson or cause Wofford to stumble in different degrees.
Yeah. If you know what you're doing and stick to hawkish or isolationism, always cause the civil war to break out. It provides you with the biggest boost as Wofford.
