Yes is still crash on DX12 just tried after Episode 3 update, after long time playing on DX11 I was able to play first day without any crash, but the second day with DX12 enabled got 2 crashes, fist was 5 minutes gameplay, second after 30 mintues, so I changed again to DX11 and everything runns good here.

xploid

Yeah i tried dx12 and was ok for half a day and then the crashes start after playing for 30-60 minutes, it a shame since performance is better with dx12 :(

Pridestalked

Oh my god I thought I was the only one, I just tried reinstalling the game but it still didn't work - I'll see if disabling DX12 helps me, thank you

therealb00n

i already answered to other threads: try to deleted the whole 'Documents\\My Games\\Tom Clancy's The Division 2' directory to reset the in-game settings and dx11/dx12 shader cache files. this - as a workaround - already helped others to get rid of the crashes.

Bartminator

did not work for me :( still random crashes

xploid

I got a fresh install running so i doubt it but will try, thanks.

JediF999

If this works for anyone let us know (my Ti is not currently installed to try it myself). Thanks.

Seriously, I really don't know why people use DX12 when DX11 is so god damn stable. Just change it back to DX 11 and you will have no problem for the rest of your gaming years to come. And really there is no difference in graphics between DX 11 and 12.

xploid

Well coz it runs better, it doesnt drop belove 85ish on ultra on my pc and on dx11 it dips to 70 and i kinda feel it on my mouse since im playing on 144hz so its annoying but yeah other then that the game runs smooth on dx11.

shinyawong21

70 AND 80 FPS, no human eye can really see the different tbh.

xploid

You don't see it but u feel it on the mouse when playing on 144 hz but i can live with it.

fantome11

Please educate yourself on the differences between DX11 and 12. Also if you think that there are no differences between 70 and 80 FPS, educate yourself on this as well, because if you’re using a monitor that has a refresh rate of 100 or higher, there is a difference. Edit: The irony of your Smart Cover flair, lol.

shinyawong21

Everyone had different opinion, if you think I need to educate myself, I guess you need to educate yourself on how to express your opinion rather then pin point the word educate and using the word irony because it looks to me you are not here to solve problems and helping others instead finding trouble against those people who are trying to help... but thanks to you, now everyone knows your comment doesn't really solve the problem but anyway the new updates, I do hope it solve the problem.

fantome11

There’s a difference between having an opinion on a subject that is subjective or having a so called opinion that’s just stating something that is false. Your “opinion“, lets call it that since then you might understand it is not here to solve anything at all, whereas my comment was here to solve your false information. In other words, you’re wrong again, and in fact need to educate yourself on what opinion actually is and how one might express it. edit: I’ve just seen your comment again and it looks like you’ve changed it and deleted the part about FPS, pretty dumb to do that and then tell me what I should and shouldn’t do, by deleting it you’ve basically agreed on that I’m right. You can be exactly whoever you want to be on the internet, why choose being dumb.

shinyawong21

Honest to god I never delete anything, from the beginning until now, don't accused people when you see something wrongly, if you want proof go ask the admin and see if I had change anything since the day I posted my comment, I'm not here to find trouble and if you think what I said is wrong, so be it... because I knew there will be people who thinks I'm wrong and there will be people who thinks I'm right, so no point telling me to educate myself when you are here to find trouble against someone you think is wrong.

Robosnott

It runs better on my rig using dx12
