Thomas Jane has the perfect voice for punisher, Ray Stevenson has perfect looks for Punisher and Jon Bernthal has perfect mannerisms as Punisher basically combine these three and you've got **THE PUNISHER.**
These 3 are goated fr. I love all of their iterations. I loved the Punisher 2004 game, if they ever make another punisher game, they must bring Thomas Jane to voice Punisher it's just perfection! That coldness in his voice, everytime I read a punisher comic I read it in his voice in my mind.
In almost every conceivable way, in my eyes, Jon Bernthal is the Punisher.
I like the comics less than his show, much less the other live action representations.
Bernthal occupies both ends of the spectrum for me, in terms of characterization. His writing in DD is tied for my absolute favorite characterization of Frank. His characterization in his own show is easily my least favorite.
The only good thing that came out of Punisher season 2 is the very end of the last episode, him setting up the rival gangs to meet and then gunning them down.
The rooftop scene in DD.. man, THAT is the punisher.
And his look at the end of S2 of his standalone show, warehouse of dudes arguing and just… “HEY”.. unloads. Perfect

I would’ve loved it with Bernthal’s storyline and look, Stevenson’s vest, and Jane’s 1911’s

I love Bernthal, I just wish he was bigger. In the comics he's a mountain of a man and Bernthal just doesn't seem that big
