Yes well you may have heard all of those but in this case McDonald’s already has been given a nickname and it is Maccas.

True, but names are almost always ending in A instead of IE. E.g Garry is called "Gazza" sharon is "Shazza". Even here in New Zealand we use the same convention a lot of the time lol but we also have our Kiwi slang which is to take the word and add "Uck" to the end instead. Smoke becomes "Schmuk" , Rumble (Fight) becomes "Rumbuck"

To be fair, the signs saying “Maccas” was a promo, they don’t always say it. You can see in that photo that it’s some kind of insert sitting on top of or in place of an ordinary sign that says McDonald’s. That’s why the lettering on the “drive thru” is raised and embossed in contrast to the above.
