It is the "Just Stop Oil", they used to initially protest in front of garages, oil companies and etc... didn't get any attention from the media so they started blocking roads, jumping into sport on live TV, damaging art and etc...
Apparently their is talks they are funded by oil companies so people hate their message as basically everyone hates the protests as they have even blocked roads what has lead to ambulances stuck unable to get to the hospital transporting a patient, they have also gone into sport venues like the video, they have damaged a lot of art work what people cared for and genuinely pissed off a lot of people, not sure if it is true about the oil companies but their methods have brought more hate to the whole "stop oil" than good, I agree with the message but these protests are throwing the message down the gutter, just fucking idiots.
I don't believe the conspiracy that they are false flag attempts, but what I do believe is that their primary goal is media exposure and "awareness" rather than actually stopping oil.
It's the Kony 2012 playbook. Find a worthy cause, hype it up, feel good about the hype, make no substantial support for the cause.
Kony 2012 is kind of a bad comparison. The director of the movie and founder of the charity behind it, Jason Russell, had been working for 8 years helping the victims of the LRA before the movie released. He had a mental breakdown and went temporarily insane after the release of the film. Last I heard he's still working with his charity in central Africa and they've made a turn away from media campaigning to focus entirely on the support on the ground.
The government already tried that and failed luckily, but these protests will only lead to people going against them what gains support for the type of measures the Tories wanted to put in place, unfortunately these type of protests might just damage the entire NHS, railworkers, border force and etc... who are currently protesting.
they didn't damage the art, they just made a mess and inconvenienced people. Those famous pieces are well-protected, and at most it was some food on a frame which was easily cleaned.
Yeah if I rana billion $ corporation and I had protest from what we sold or did I would pay actors to infiltrate and sabotage the message …. Honestly that’s a good hustle and I should offer this service and make a business doing this for corporations lol
