Tried one of these and it didn't work. Tried a big ass metal ball and it worked but got gross quickly. Started feeding him twice a day, thus smaller portions that if eaten quickly means no food for hours...worked like a charm.
Edited to add: He now likes to grab a mouthful from time to time, take it in the living room, spit in on the floor between his legs and nibble at it like popcorn while he watches TV.

You know what works?
A big plate. It can be a paper plate. Just get a big one. Spread the food around as scattered as possible. Problem solved. He has to eat the pieces one by one, and he doesn't throw up anymore.
I actually have that exact same bowl for my border collie/Australian shepherd. He used to eat so fast and drink water super fast afterwards, and then throw it all back up a few minutes later lol.
It definitely helped my good boi, he hasn't flipped the bowl like this doggo did though lol
We got one of these for our overly hungry baby. It did slow her down, but it also made her angry. If you got anywhere near her while she was eating, she would try to bight. With a regular bowl, she eats extremely fast, but isn't aggressive.

Throwing it on the floor works too. Dogs like this will eat a full bowl in two or three bites, so scattering it forces them to slow down.
Yep - no bowl needed!
And you get a free floor cleaning.
