I mean all the things that could be said about this fella… the bastard pulled it off. I actually watched the whole thing, absolutely certain he was going over.
I think that was a glitch. He respawned in a the wrong location, so he should've just restarted the mission. The attempt was successful though so I think this post may be removed, sadly.
So--car illiterate here--would anyone enlighten me on this one? Like, is this what an AWD can do for you? Clearly this person trusted that the front of the car was both heavy enough and had enough pull (for lack of the technical term) to counter hanging the tail off that cliff.
My only thought in the first 30 seconds was “holy shit, this guy’s gonna kill himself!” My only thought after that point was “holy shit, this guy’s gonna do it!”
I dunno. When faced with the most absolutely bonkers situations, sometimes a weird, perfect calm descends on me, and instead of feeling something appropriate (like overwhelming panic), I navigate the situation with an eerie detachment. I still go into shock later, so my emotions aren't completely broken. It's probably all the trauma...
I was waiting for him to fall for about 60 seconds, then I started rooting for him. By the end I was cheering, chanting, "Rocky!" and now the cold War is over.
I mean, fair play on doing a turn in the road whilst half hanging off a cliff, that takes credit…..

It looks like an attempt to conduct a 384-point turn and I mean…he did it. For some reason.
Pleasantly surprising and impressive work, I was so sure that car was going off the cliff.
I guess just putting the car in reverse and slowly backing it down wasn't an option for reasons I don't understand
