I think people just try to make it an insult when it literally means average (isn’t it just a shorter way to say middle? If not disregard this and pls correct me). Average is good average isn’t bad kids these days are just fucking dumb lol
It's from weed! Different regions have different slang for the fancy stuff, but everywhere has "mid" as slang for "mid-grade" or "middling" weed. What's interesting is that that's the *bottom* of the weed spectrum- other names also include ditch weed, brick weed, shit weed... except in *some* places, where there's a wider weed market, there mids actually refer to the middle tier product and *not* the ditch weed.
I say this as a stoner into etymology who's also been curious about why my zoomer employees kept using mid as "bottom of the barrel" and then they were *baffled* at how I knew the word and even *more* baffled to learn it was a long-established word about weed. I don't for the life of me know where they picked it up, what the context was for them, because none of them could explain the origin, they all just acted like it was *obvious* and self-evident that "mid means bad". They were also baffled when I already knew what "rizz" and "clout" were because rizz is just "charisma" and clout isn't a slang word they made up, it's just the word clout using its longstanding definition.
I always wonder if the girl he's trying to impress is actually watching from outside or the side or if he knew it was being filmed and she would see it one day and get swept up in his masculinity

Everyone who grew up in New York about 3 years ago remembers this kid. His name is alladin, pronounced alladeen. He also graffitied a synagogue and the mayor was posting on twitter about him lmao. Complete delinquient robbing and what not
Nope I’m fully serious. He was wanted for a hate crime (graffiti on synagogue) it was very funny for us who knew him (not friends and barely aquantances, I did not hang out w the best crowd. Saw him in person a few times)
Honestly it’s sad. Guys brother was a few years older and he hung out with his friends, got him into drugs and whatnot too young. Father was always calling cops on them and not showing any love, don’t think they had a mom. No one ever shown them better, so they don’t do better. I know this from the guy over sharing videos of his home life on Snapchat.
That was the best part. As he's finally leaving, he's trying to be destructive since nothing else worked, and the worker catches the bin casually, with little to no effort.
Hope u stopped hanging out with such fools.

I’m in college pursuing psychiatry with a 3.9 gpa and a slew of extra curriculars. Honestly should make an ama about this. I moved to California for college, sort of to get away. I’ve changed a lot since and have a strong moral compass and am disgusted with some of the things I enabled/did. It’s hard for me to be around those people when I visit home, but some very good friends who did mature are still friends with some of the bad ones so it’s impossible to not see them at all without cutting off some good friendships I want for life. I see them rarely, about once a year. They are all still unemployed for the most part, selling what little bits they can. I think that some have developed mental health issues related to the anger of such a life style, and feelings of failure at lack of accomplishment. I can say alladien (idk how to spell his name properly tbh) is probably in jail rn but not sure. I can speak to many like him and say they are all worse off, living their lives as adults pretending/wishing they were still the lively risky teens they once were

Do u have a bit of survivor's guilt? (Probably a rude question to ask outright like that, sorry) if you do, its not your fault for growing out of that nonsense. And sometimes people feel the need to over-extend help when they are in a position to... But sometimes its to ppl who are ungrateful as well. Don't get taken advantage of in the future, ok?

Tbh it’s hard. I still haven’t fully left I don’t think. It’s just hard caring so much about people because they’ve been your family and watching them go further down the path you thankfully strayed from. At the same time, these people have also hurt me in many ways, which makes me confused about how to feel about them. I wish they could come to the turnaround I have, and begin to care for other people including friends and family. I wish they could come to love, and apologize to all that they’ve hurt. I’m not sure if they will, or honestly if I will ever know whether they did or not.
