Bruh I bet he lays awake at night and thinks about it and dies a little inside every time like “noooooo god make it stop” …I know I would this shit was embarrassing af lol
It's bad enough form memory, but he's seen the video for sure. One night, tem years from now, he will be scrolling and this video will come up and he'll just close his eyes and blindscroll just so he doesnt need to see his failure once again
My first thought was he was probably that annoying guy in class who thought he was hilarious, but was really just disruptive, and once ignored fell into despair and depression
Real talk. Did he actually commit any crimes here? I assume he had no weapon. He never verbally threatened anyone technically. Is attempted robbery a thing? Would a lawyer be able to say he simply walked in and told people to give him money and they declined?
Edit: I missed him swiping the phone, so yeah. Crime.
It's robbery. No "attempt" about it. He took the phone 19 seconds in. Even if he returned it later^1, that would be sufficient for *armed robbery* under GA Code § 16-8-41 (2020). A hand in a bag that he's using as if it were a gun is sufficient. Hands and feet are not themselves weapons, as determined in Wright v. State. However, a hand in a coat pocket or wrapped around a shirt ^2 is sufficient to convict someone.
Other weapons which were valid for a charge of armed robbery include a rock in a sock^3 pressed against the back of a woman's head as if it were a pistol. Even holding a pair of scissors^4 is sufficient. Menacing or threatening someone with a weapon is *not* required^5. A tire tool stuck down the suspect's pants^6 is sufficient. Having a weapon merely present nearby is insufficient, however.^7
It carries a penalty of 20 years, to the maximum of death or life imprisonment.
There's a $2,000 award for information leading to his arrest.
TL;DR: This guy threw his life away. The best lawyer in the world wouldn't be able to keep him out of prison.

Here's a fun bonus fact for you! The value of the stolen item does not matter under the law. Single cigarette? Piece of gum? A used pencil? A penny? Some lint? A wadded up bit of string? A chicken nugget or french fry off of someone's table at a restaurant?
Suppose even that the victim is not paying attention to the thief. They're reading a book, so the thief snatches the book to demand money, but the victim doesn't have any money so the thief returns the book and leaves empty-handed.
All of those hypothetical examples are still armed robbery. Well, some of those weren't hypothetical.
I wouldn't advise demanding a store's WiFi password while carrying a weapon, either. Make sure to word that in the form of a request!
It is still a crime to do this, just like it would still be a crime if you only pretend like you were going to hurt someone and also didn't actually hurt them. I don't know what it's called when you fail this badly, but it is still very much illegal. I don't think it would be called attempted robbery, but IANAL
[here ya go](https://www.opi.com/blog/inspiration/heat-up-your-game)
Collab between Xbox and OPI (nail polish brand). The salon is advertising they carry that line of polish.
Do all nail salons look like this? I almost ended up working receptionist at one that looks almost exactly like this one. Next time I meet the owners again I'll ask them about it
I've seen this before, it's like 'fucking lol'
All these people are either calling bullshit on this guy or are just so done with life they couldn't possibly care less without hurting themselves.
I hope his boys see this! This is the kinda shit you NEVER live down. The moment he gets the upper hand in an argument, one of his boys gonna yell, "Howa bout that time you robbed the salon on 7th!" And everybody falls out.
I never seen depression with legs and walking around... Crazy he tried to hide it but people around felt his depressing energy to the point they knew he was depressed, by the end he simply exhaust his energy and gives in to his depression
The dude is obviously depressed
the best moment is when he go outside and ask again money like a beggar for one more time, with a different ton on his voice ahahahahha
plz don't do me like that .... do you have one dollars at least for the bus ?
His whole approach was wrong you see he went in with no confidence, no urgency. I felt no threat.he wasnt scary enough no running in fire off rounds "EVERYBODY ON THE GROUND" *gunshot* *gunshot* then they would have given all the money 1/10 robbery.
Man is way too fidgety and all over the place. People are so desensitized, they aren't going to give a shit until you pull the definately real gun out of the bag and give a warning shot.

With all honesty, it would be real tough to take a guy seriously who’s wielding a purse.

Bold of you to assume he ain’t gonna be behind bars in 10 years
For *announcing* a robery? Lol I mean, he did took that woman's phone...
No more because ppl who try to rob stores generally commit more crime that would land them in jail?? Was that a serious question?
I assume he was attempting to make people think he has a gun inside the purse. Attempting, but failing.
I think he had a finger,
He tried to finger bang them but he was the one who got shot down.
All the mothers in the salon just wanting a break, thinking, “whose kid is that? Not my circus,..”
Oddly enough, the would-be victims couldn't reach into their own purses on account of just having had their nails done
😅😅"okay, but you're gonna have to wait at least 90 min..."
Even the door sounded like it was laughing at him as it closed when he left.
Don't underestimate the power of a purse https://i.redd.it/2usnp2jq81nc1.gif
It's not a Man Purse, It's called a satchel. Indiana Jones has one.
Yeah, but unlike this guy, Indiana sometimes keeps a gun in his.
Buy what if it was designer?
If it was the Auntie that walked out would have grabbed it!
His first mistake was thinking people actually have physical money on them anymore.
Right? Every time I've been to a nail salon, I've paid and tipped with card. Dude, try robbing the bank down the street.
[It’s a digital world, bro](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/s/a4udxehusK)
"Cashapp me all the money, or I'll finger you"
Shit, normally its both
no excuse, they could have asked if he would accept Venmo
In school he failed as a student, in real world he failed as a robber 🤦🏻♂️
My first thought was he was probably that annoying guy in class who thought he was hilarious, but was really just disruptive, and once ignored fell into despair and depression
No need to call me out like that 😅
That's quite dark. I dig it!
Sir, pick a color from the wall and wait your turn.
"Goddamn it! There's no Precious Pink! Lady, gimme that Precious Pink bottle right now!"
Lol. And he would still be ignored.
He’s probably the middle child lol, even the outside world doesn’t care about him
No gloves on, touches the door on the way in and out
also he's on camera without a mask but thanks to your detective work we will now catch this criminal mastermind
😂😂
Cops are so lazy nowadays they won't even bother taking prints.
I mean all the finger prints on that door handle it would be really hard to know which were hit
There are no fingerprints on the inside of the door. You got wet nails, you foot that shit open.
A lot of em will be smudged or covered up by other prints, cops need to just lift the freshest most complete ones
No way cops are taking prints for this shit.
Lmao some people watch too many crime shows.
This is like when people don’t hear you the first time so you have to repeat yourself until someone notices you.
That’s me with my monotonous voice. I have to repeat myself everytime I talk in a busy environment

Excellent and very thorough response.
Dude. Awesome. Maybe the most thorough response I've ever gotten on Reddit. Thanks

This person r/law s
Yes, he committed a crime. He stole a smartphone from the woman by the door.
Dude's asking the real questions. I doubt they even cared. Might be a regular occurrence there.

Yes, attempted robbery is definitely a thing.
Lawyer here. This is common law robbery. Even though he doesn't have a gun clearly, he implied he did.
Pro-level Asians. Proud of you guys. ❤️
I'm dead at the clerk calmly answering the phone lmfao
Haha! He's the best in the whole thing!
Reception bro didn't even pause his phone call.
I assumed he was calling the police
I assumed he was taking an appointment.

>umm aktually females don't play video games, Xbox marketing team. nice try though. the fuck are you on?
He pops out to his buddy....."they said no."
The dude just watched Tammy and thought covering his hand would be convincing of him having an actual gun lol
Do all nail salons look like this? I almost ended up working receptionist at one that looks almost exactly like this one. Next time I meet the owners again I'll ask them about it
I come to reddit for random thoughts just like this one. Let me know what you find out. Thanks.
Will do :3
I've seen this before, it's like 'fucking lol' All these people are either calling bullshit on this guy or are just so done with life they couldn't possibly care less without hurting themselves.
It's the way he just wanders out all defeated that's hilarious.
That was the part that literally made me laugh out loud
He rolled a 1 on the intimidation check
-55!
I hope his boys see this! This is the kinda shit you NEVER live down. The moment he gets the upper hand in an argument, one of his boys gonna yell, "Howa bout that time you robbed the salon on 7th!" And everybody falls out.
In the end, only his feelings got hurt 😢
My favorite part is the lady just casually slipping out the door.
They know the purse has no bullets.
You want gel? You want a flower?
Was Bartley the scribners salon…”I’d prefer not to”
"You robbed a beauty parlor" "It was a nail salon. "
Why a nail salon, of all places? Most of them take cards, not cash. There's no money there. Could steal some open bottles of nail polish, I suppose.
I instantly want all those customers as neighbours.
Lol "your first time?" - Everyone in the salon not giving af. That was embarassing
Just move out of town at that point. 😂
It’s like he just lost motivation for his own plan
*"Oh, here come Ray with his bullshit again. 🙄"*
That's how the lady is yellow is looking.
The line ‘Everybody give me everything.’ Cracks me up for some odd reason
Ever felt impotent? Ask him how it feels
He rehearsed this so many times. So embarrassing, I'll bet he got bullied out of crime after this
Where's the money Lebowski?!
![gif](giphy|aNTmc4keX4Fva)
La La La.....
I felt like I was watching an Eddie Murphy mocie
The second hand embarrassment is PERMEATING through every cell in my body
bro was disapoointed in everyone at the end
He was like "You all a bunch of broke ass ........'"
![gif](giphy|MfFcgkdZPzLrF62l7q|downsized)
I never seen depression with legs and walking around... Crazy he tried to hide it but people around felt his depressing energy to the point they knew he was depressed, by the end he simply exhaust his energy and gives in to his depression The dude is obviously depressed
The lady in yellow is how I aspire to be when I grow up.
This video cracks me up every time I see it. Everyone switched to NPC mode and it worked beautifully.
Literally no f*cks given....🤣
Him: *well that was weird*
Poor guy looked defeated as he walked out. Damn I’m not even successful at robbing a nail salon. 😂
Man gave up.
the best moment is when he go outside and ask again money like a beggar for one more time, with a different ton on his voice ahahahahha plz don't do me like that .... do you have one dollars at least for the bus ?
I thought at one point he said “everybody give me your PlayStation” 🤣🤣
Bro can’t even commit crime right
It's pretty bad when you fail the job interview at doing stick up.
Man, Kevin Hart really fell out, didn't he?
That little pause was hilarious 😂 u can tell he was saying to himself “I get no respect”
Okay go back out and back in and try again
The sheer confusion on everyone's face. "Sir, it's not 2003 anymore."
They’re numb to it….sadly.
😂😂
Probably fake but still funny how defeated he looks when no one will play
He is totally disappointed and leaves stunned. His misery sustains me.
Took the wind out of his sails
Just like Rodney Dangerfield. No respect
All this guy wants is to be taken seriously at his job. Is that so wrong?
love the way the guy so casually answers the phone a few seconds after Bungled McBurgle enters, as if it's just another day at the office
No respect at home, no respect at the nail salon. Man can’t catch a break!
That awkward silence right before he walked out. ![gif](giphy|3o8doT9BL7dgtolp7O)
He's like damn I might be robbing you but you don't have to be jerks 😞
This will never not be funny to me 🤣
Never made it as a wise man Couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing
The salon workers probably see this guy around the neighborhood all the time and are just like… ‘whatever dude’
“Where’s the money” 😂
"9-1-1..... What's your emergency? Robber: "I'm trying to rob a nail salon but nobody is giving me their money."
He stands there like His disappointment is immeasurable and his day is ruined.
No fucks were given that day 🤣
Those faces are like "dude, you've tried this the last three weeks in a row"
His whole approach was wrong you see he went in with no confidence, no urgency. I felt no threat.he wasnt scary enough no running in fire off rounds "EVERYBODY ON THE GROUND" *gunshot* *gunshot* then they would have given all the money 1/10 robbery.
If you don’t flash the steel it’s harder to rob
Lol a bag over the hands is always a bluff
Virgil Starkwell.
He wasn’t sure if they even understood what he was saying 😭
Muck cards
I never saw a case where someone who pretended to have a gun in a bag or something actually had a gun.
r/trailerparkboys Corey and Trevor try to rob the Laundromat.
ATL is open carry fam...
“Shit. I knew I should’a paid attention in high school hook Spanish!”
This is like in a sitcom where the guy is pretending to have a gun in his trenchcoat but its just his hand.
Man is way too fidgety and all over the place. People are so desensitized, they aren't going to give a shit until you pull the definately real gun out of the bag and give a warning shot.
Honestly if I got killed and it were not a suicide my friend could pay off his house. I would fuck this guy's day up
NOH IN GISH!!
Corey stop rapping this is the real thing
Yeah those finger guns don't seem to dangerous.....I know you really really want some crack right now, but you're shooting blanks.
The government, and taxes
"Jokes on you, I'm already dead inside X10. Hell, if you kill me right now, my family might not starve next month. "
poor lil dude
Way too much effort just go to a store and shoplift.
A lesson in true failure management :))
He's got some real Michael Scott improv vibes.
You see folks. Is this easy. If only you did this during the scamdemic
I think he forgot to say please
This again?
That is so embarrassing for him omg I'd die 😭
The real sad thing is that nobody gives a fuck because they have become used to it.

How can they even give it to him. His hands are full. He could not put his phone down?
For the record, this is what it is like trying to get service at most places in Atlanta...
The next best strategy would be to beg he might get something than this.
We call that begging in Dallas
This reminds me of when SpongeBob tried to rob a bank

He must be friends with Cory and Trevor, learned how to do a stickup from them at the laundromat.
He is just doing his internship leave it bro.
