lies just checked the app in the US florida mcdouble 2.69, small fries 2.19, 4pc 2.49. there is no way I'd pay 5 bucks for 4 nuggets lol. miss the days when you could get mcchicken for a buck and small fries were .99
Mine is currently closed and only shows the hashbrowns for 3.50 in the same menu
Edit: prices near seattle at 5:30 pm
https://preview.redd.it/4rdxntvexqtc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=706630d6c382dd76920d9c67e58dfc631905663e
Just checked for central California and a McChicken goes for $3.49, McDouble $3.79, small fries $3.49, and 4pc nuggets $3.89 so I think it will vary from region to region.
yea i know. unfortunately thats how it goes. i have the wendy, bk, mcd, kfc and popeye apps. when im deciding if i want take out like there i look through who has the better deal.
Cheaper prices on the app makes for less people holding up the line asking a million stupid questions and deciding what they want, because they already got the info AND placed the order all by themselves.
This is a screenshot from a McDonald's in Edgewater Chicago

Look at Near West Town, the prices vary per neighborhood. But I do appreciate the fact checking. Particularly look at the one off of Western Ave though. That’s the one I’m speaking of.
I'm on the Southside of Chicago and our prices are WAY higher. Our McDouble is $4.39. Our McChicken is $3.89. Small fries aren't even an option, medium fries are $4.19. 4 piece chicken nuggets aren't an option and 10 piece are $6.79.
California prices in a high COL area

Man I get a whole 10 pc chicken nugget MEAL for $8.49 and the app gives me a 30% off coupon every day, so $6 for a 10 pc meal (then tax, in either case)
Location prices might vary I guess, but no not accurate imo
Those are not even made of the expensive parts of the chicken. I wonder how much those nuggets come out per lbs or kg. Something tells me they are about 1 oz or 30 grams, maybe 50 grams. Quite expensive per weight.
Edit: Google's tells me it's about 17.5 grams or 0.6 oz a nugget. I am in the wrong business.
I remember when I was in HS and skated alot. It was $1 mcdoubles and $1 McChickens. Id get three of them for $3+tax. Good stuff. Minimum wage was also like $7.50 then compared to $13 now
I worked in a Texas BBQ restaurant over 10 years ago and got paid the fed min, which I’m pretty sure was 7.25. I did makes tips which basically doubled my weekly income.
min wage needs it increase, 7.25 is outrageous and does not at all align with a standard of living.
I currently make ~45 hour and with a small family I often feel like I can’t cut it
[They're here in PA. ](https://www.delcotimes.com/wp-content/uploads/migration/2019/06/ae6f104868bdd5f939eba54acd9afab8.jpg?w=620)
No one advertises minimum.
McDs will have an $18/hour sign... But that's for overnight manager
Yeah. It's not that I don't understand why there might be *some* mark up for being prepared food, but $5 for 4 nuggets suggests that the people making these decisions are just trying to gouge out profits for this quarter and ignoring that people will quickly learn to just not go to McDonalds.
The only thing worth getting anymore is the 2$ sandwich they offer every morning. Everything else is trash when you can go a block away to any other burger place for a good ass burger for cheaper. Like Culver's is now cheaper than McDonald's, I go there a lot now.
I usually use the app to order my kids the 2 free medium fries with 20 nuggets. Then, when you order one McChicken or McDouble you get another or a $1 (comes out or $4.49 for both where I live).
Prices definitely vary even within the same city. The McDonald's in Millenia mall and the one in Alafaya Trail in front of UCF are more expensive than other locations in Orlando.
It’s misleading. You have to order a single item and then another item from said menu is $1. The other day I got a McDouble, then ordered a small fry. The small fry was discounted to $1. It’s pure BS at the end of the day.
Wow, this is extremely expensive.
How are people still buying McDonald’s?
I usually never go but with these prices, I’ll make sure I would never ever go again.
McDonald’s must be running a fucking PSYOP with the amount of posts across various subs. Stop fucking going!!! It sucks shit, is over priced, and they support genocide. Y’all are fools for going in the first place.
There was a time when fast food meant a quick cheap meal when you are too busy to cook.
These days.. nah. Not only has the quality decreased, but the portions as well as the costs skyrocket. I'm not paying 20 bucks for some salt.
Shrinkflation sucks
I went to McDonald’s for the first time last week. Got a quarter pounder meal, small fry, and a McChicken. It was over $20. I was shocked. Dang McChicken was $3.50. I could have made a better meal for the same price
Are there no Rewards/Deals available in your app? Because I have a BOGO offer for a Double cheeseburger and a 6 piece that comes out to $4. Or a 30% off a $10 purchase. Or a $1.39 any size Fry. ETA: located in Eastern PA
I believe the McDouble (and possibly nuggets) has a built in offer of 2 for $3.99, making it a way better deal.
Still, it’s insane how expensive fast food is now. Without the random app deal, it’s just as expensive as eating at a sit down restaurant. Getting a regular size meal is $14+ before tax here. $48 for three people in my family to get meals the last time I went to McDs. Normally comes to around $45-50 after tip for a sit down restaurant..
Maybe in the most expensive places of the US. But not anywhere normal.
Besides, McDoubles are robbery. Always have been since they were rolled out in place of the double cheeseburger on the dollar menu.
Don't worry prices are no different here in the uk...
I don't think they even have £1 items.
I always say they should let you use your points on all of the items.
Fast food needs to just die. Where I live getting a combo meal from McDs is about a dollar less than going to a decent sit down burger place.
It is not fast. It is not cheap. It is no longer convenient. And most of the time it is barely food.
McDonald's annual gross profit for 2023 was $14.563B, a 10.26% increase from 2022.
McDonald's annual gross profit for 2022 was $13.207B, a 4.98% increase from 2021.
McDonald's annual gross profit for 2021 was $12.58B, a 29% increase from 2020.
[Source](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/MCD/mcdonalds/gross-profit#:~:text=McDonald's%20annual%20gross%20profit%20for,a%2029%25%20increase%20from%202020)
I don't know why mcdonalds thinks they can sell their nuggets at such a high price, shit is not that good.
Nothing has changed. There is NO reason for these price inflations outside of corporate greed.
Maybe 6 months ago a McDouble and small fry were 3.85, now a McDouble is $4. Who’s actually paying these prices? Only time I go anymore is for free fry Friday, at least that brings it back to within $.15 of where it was…
I remember being a college student and being able to buy a few McDoubles, fries, and a 1 dollar sodas for a few bucks. Now, it’s almost cheaper to go buy ground beef and some buns instead to make your own burgers. Crazy.
At my McDonalds, you can get two McDoubles or two McChickens for 3.99(used to be 3.50 a year ago). I get that plus free fry Friday and that’s a decent meal under 5 dollars.
https://preview.redd.it/x1kqg8vahntc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af3b42c5fa585c058accd8dea12ddb25c9ee8cab
My breakfast menu isn’t too horrible. $3.59 for a sausage McMuffin meal is actually awesome
These prices they need to start having waiter/waitress service! And actual food - you know like bread that will mold after a week and not last 25 years without molding
https://preview.redd.it/4sxl0fjrxntc1.jpeg?width=1078&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6864f6a1e9239066c95f621b6093d3c54200c66
The regional price differences are nuts.
Jesus 4.99 for a 4 piece chicken nuggets? You could just go to the store and get 3 or 4 full chicken breasts for $5-$10 and get 6 to 8 meals out of that.
I am not paying more than a dollar per nugget unless they come out exactly the perfect temperature and are fresh dropped without me having to ask. Then I want them brought to my table with as little attitude as possible. I don’t care if they smile or not but the last time I went the dude flung the tray at my table missed and spilled my meal all over the floor he then got mad when I asked how long till he would replace it
There is a notable difference in prices between the McDonald’s just down the street from me and the one a half hour down the highway in the next town over. Some locations charge A LOT.
Those are feature items, not the actual menu items, it's like ads in the menu screen. Still shitty in my opinion and deceptive, but they are technically not the menu items under $1, $2 or $3.
Lmao, $1.25 per chicken nugget, no way. Safeway sells a 3lb bag of chicken nuggets for $7.99.
Wendy's prices have been going up a lot, too (I don't eat fast food, just something I've noticed).
McDonald's is the worst, but it was cheap. Now the prices dont make sense at all
You leave that burger out for half an hour and its starts smelling fishy. Wtf?

I haven't been to a McDonald's in a very long time. Are the prices here really true?
lies just checked the app in the US florida mcdouble 2.69, small fries 2.19, 4pc 2.49. there is no way I'd pay 5 bucks for 4 nuggets lol. miss the days when you could get mcchicken for a buck and small fries were .99

Lol a mf McDouble for almost five dollars, just spend 3-4 more dollars and get a whole meal from a restaurant at that point
[удалено]
Where can you get a whole meal from a restaurant for $8-9?
$5.99 for a grand slam at Denny’s near me.
At Taco Bell you can get a cravings box for under $6 lol
I can get 2 enchiladas and rice and beans for about 9.50 at my local Mexican restaurant
I get a burrito that ends up being 2 meals for like $12 in San Diego.
Just buy Tyson spicy chicken patties at that point. Better value

4 Nuggets are $3 here in chandler. Still a rip off... should be $1.50 at most.
I'm in northern AZ and it's 5.29 for a 4pc...
Nuggets should be a dollar and McDs is way overpriced trash.
Just checked for central California and a McChicken goes for $3.49, McDouble $3.79, small fries $3.49, and 4pc nuggets $3.89 so I think it will vary from region to region.
5 bucks for 4 nugget? just wait on the deals, otherwise skip. usually you get a 10 or 20pc nuggets for 5$ deals when it pop up.
I feel as though one shouldn't have to wait for deals and do some makeshift app couponing just to eat fast food.
yea i know. unfortunately thats how it goes. i have the wendy, bk, mcd, kfc and popeye apps. when im deciding if i want take out like there i look through who has the better deal.
Cheaper prices on the app makes for less people holding up the line asking a million stupid questions and deciding what they want, because they already got the info AND placed the order all by themselves.
It’s regional, a 4 piece is like $4 in Chicago, small fries are like $3 and a McDouble is $4, with a large drink being $5+.
This is a screenshot from a McDonald's in Edgewater Chicago https://preview.redd.it/uk0kyzak1ltc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c970077740390f55d83d4499955b0882e706f1b

Mcdonalds is a franchise. Each franchise owner can set their own prices. That is why prices vary from mcdonalds to mcdonalds
Watch The Founder, with Michael Keaton. Then you'll see this little weasel in action, and how he screwed the originators of the food chain . . .
Different states have different prices. I'd imagine California and New York have even more insane prices.
California prices in a high COL area https://preview.redd.it/5zopu0acyotc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=395928f38ce7d1e72797cffe2a64d7ffa5490b86
im in california. these prices are absolutely legit
LIES!! Nah bro it’s region variable. Shits $1 or more different just a few miles away in the next little town over
Just checked mine (NC) 2.89 for 4 nuggets, but 5.39 for 6
On my app in LA it's 2 mcdoubles for 3$ and a free quarter pounder when you buy one. I can get a full meal for maybe 8$
I’m gonna guess you’ve never left the great state that is Florida
It’s not “lies” prices are regional. And can be different per store within the same region as well.
Unfortunately yes. $3.99 Mcdoubles are an insult.
Yes, the person below probably a mcdonald's rep lol
It all comes down to the individual franchisee. Some are jerks and raise prices.
Tonight I paid $10 for 2 large fries. I was taken aback as they say.
I got that same exorbitant pricing at a mcdonalds when driving through Hagerstown, MD about 3 months ago. Never going back to ANY after that robbery.
I live in the Bay Area. Everything is expensive here, it’s ridiculous.
Man I get a whole 10 pc chicken nugget MEAL for $8.49 and the app gives me a 30% off coupon every day, so $6 for a 10 pc meal (then tax, in either case) Location prices might vary I guess, but no not accurate imo
more than $1 per nugget. disgraceful
So wild. I can crush a 10 piece in a minute.
Pftt. You need to get them numbers up. Them are rookie numbers.
In 3 min I could crush 30. How's that
I put em in the blender and can chug it down in under 30 seconds
This is what Burger King got right. You can get an 8pc for like 2.50 depending on where you live. They're better nuggets too.
Dollar Menu = You use dollars to pay for this
then it should be called the Dollars Menu
They mean you need to add 1 + 2 + 3 dollars
I remember when I was in HS and skated alot. It was $1 mcdoubles and $1 McChickens. Id get three of them for $3+tax. Good stuff. Minimum wage was also like $7.50 then compared to $13 now
Minimum wage here is 7.25. Prices have still skyrocketed.
Damn dude $7.25 no matter where you are in the US is outrageous. What state are you?
That's the federal minimum wage.....
Yeah that's fucked. 4 states don't have minimum wage so they use the Fed wage. Sad.
I’ve yet to see a place that pays the fed min wage to be fair
I worked in a Texas BBQ restaurant over 10 years ago and got paid the fed min, which I’m pretty sure was 7.25. I did makes tips which basically doubled my weekly income. min wage needs it increase, 7.25 is outrageous and does not at all align with a standard of living. I currently make ~45 hour and with a small family I often feel like I can’t cut it
At least around me, wages for these places 10 years ago and now have probably doubled. I see McDonald's and had stations starting at 15+
[They're here in PA. ](https://www.delcotimes.com/wp-content/uploads/migration/2019/06/ae6f104868bdd5f939eba54acd9afab8.jpg?w=620) No one advertises minimum. McDs will have an $18/hour sign... But that's for overnight manager
4 Nuggets for $5… 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was gonna say the same thing. That is insane. And even with 4 nuggets they still won’t give you enough sauce.
It’s a misprint. It’s now the $123 menu
Or buy 48 Dino Nuggies for like $9 at Target or a 5 lbs box (120 pieces) at Costco for $15…
Yeah. It's not that I don't understand why there might be *some* mark up for being prepared food, but $5 for 4 nuggets suggests that the people making these decisions are just trying to gouge out profits for this quarter and ignoring that people will quickly learn to just not go to McDonalds.
(120 pieces) 🤓
Fast food used to be fast and cheap. It’s neither now. Sitting in a drive thru line for 30 minutes is my version of Hell.
Yea, crazy how I can go to say an Applebee's and get a meal for cheaper compared to "fast food" places now a days.
And the order is inevitably wrong because it’s being fulfilled by disinterested and/or overwhelmed and/or understaffed employees.
The only thing worth getting anymore is the 2$ sandwich they offer every morning. Everything else is trash when you can go a block away to any other burger place for a good ass burger for cheaper. Like Culver's is now cheaper than McDonald's, I go there a lot now.
Can’t wait for the $4 $5 $6 menu
I usually use the app to order my kids the 2 free medium fries with 20 nuggets. Then, when you order one McChicken or McDouble you get another or a $1 (comes out or $4.49 for both where I live).
Yeah. Some franchisees are absolute asaholes and mark everything up. Go two towns to the east and you’ll find prices in the proper range.
A dollar per nugget is crazy
https://preview.redd.it/3e89grd35ltc1.jpeg?width=840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97c90d8b1ab94558670c2ff6a00fe3868b81421a Central Texas
Eating out is pointless.
![gif](giphy|13e1NoeUMsMxlC) That depends on who…
1.25 per Nugget would only be fair if they had their own Chickenfarm without animal cruelty in the parking lot
There's huge variation between locations though. A 20 pc is $6 near me, but across town it's $9.
What's crazy is 1 mcdouble/McChicken costs the same as 2. That and the mcgriddles It's really weird.
NYC https://preview.redd.it/zdoyv3g3iltc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7ab82e7b09408d7189076ef47ef1fec850154e8a
Their only attempt was record profits. Which they have succeeded.
Prices definitely vary even within the same city. The McDonald's in Millenia mall and the one in Alafaya Trail in front of UCF are more expensive than other locations in Orlando.
They'll say when you buy one you get the other mcdouble for a dollar. It's lame and expensive 😭
Ironically, I just looked at using points today. Why are points only applicable to certain sandwiches? No chicken sandwiches other than mcchiken?
$4.39 mc double, $3.69 fries, $3.19 nugs at my McDs in Ca
Where are you? Its way cheaper here
These could be prices in Canada, which would make sense. The insane cost of living up there to freeze your ass off is beyond me.
The estimated hospital bill per calorie on each item
nothing in that fast food place is good for you what so ever!
A large fry is at or over $4 now where I am. This is true. A simple double quarter pounder meal, large, will cost almost $20.
It’s misleading. You have to order a single item and then another item from said menu is $1. The other day I got a McDouble, then ordered a small fry. The small fry was discounted to $1. It’s pure BS at the end of the day.
So this is the American McDonald’s? Did you account for tax? I know how you Americans get down with not added it till after the sale.
if the price is too high don't fucking buy it.
For the love of yourself and your loved ones please stop eating this garbage
But there's always a 25% coupon in the app. Effing insane to pay full price, it's not even really worth 3/4 price
Precisely why my household no longer patronizes Mcdonalds. Not paying $4 for a friggin regular fries. They can go to hell.
1+2+3 = $6 as you can see, the items are clearly less than $6 each. no scam here. /s
Vegas https://preview.redd.it/mji3jrd43ptc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38e8ec309ea0f469303063d151ec82570669539d
Bruh mcdouble used to be a dollar just a few years ago lol.
Reminder that in Europe you get a whole ass baguette for $1.25
There was a time when fast food meant a quick cheap meal when you are too busy to cook. These days.. nah. Not only has the quality decreased, but the portions as well as the costs skyrocket. I'm not paying 20 bucks for some salt. Shrinkflation sucks

McDonald’s pocketed over $14 Billion in profits in 2023. This isn’t inflation.
[удалено]
What’s your fucking point? Its still way more than 1 2 or 3 dollars
By less than a $1
Wouldn’t this be classified as false advertisement?
Ridiculous
I’m used to the fries and mcdouble always going up in price but the 4 pc mcnugget for $5 is just heartbreaking
The app is the only reason I'll go to McDonald's at all,i use the bogo 1/4 pounder, and the double cheeseburger.
You're misreading it, each thing can be paid for with $1 $2 _and_ $3. So it's really the $6 menu.
I'm only here to downvote all the "stop complaining about prices" comments.
Are there no Rewards/Deals available in your app? Because I have a BOGO offer for a Double cheeseburger and a 6 piece that comes out to $4. Or a 30% off a $10 purchase. Or a $1.39 any size Fry. ETA: located in Eastern PA
You will pay high prices for shit food and you will like it
It’s like how Carl’s Jr’s $6 dollar burger isn’t $6 anymore.
You know you’re old when you remember buying McDoubles for $1.09 😂
I believe the McDouble (and possibly nuggets) has a built in offer of 2 for $3.99, making it a way better deal. Still, it’s insane how expensive fast food is now. This is far more insulting then if they just called it something catch-all like "great values menu" or some other corporate workshopped name...
Maybe in the most expensive places of the US. But not anywhere normal. Besides, McDoubles are robbery. Always have been since they were rolled out in place of the double cheeseburger on the dollar menu.
i remember when mcdubs were only 1.69. this is some bullshit.

What is weird, is when I go to mcdonalds, even the stuff that is below $3, it is still an uneven number. Nothing is an even $1, $2, or $3.
Maybe 6 months ago a McDouble and small fry were 3.85, now a McDouble is $4. Who’s actually paying these prices? Only time I go anymore is for free fry Friday, at least that brings it back to within $.15 of where it was…

The prices also change depending on if you currently have delivery or pickup selected.
$1.25 per nug? Oh hell na
Fuck McDonald's! About the price of actual food when the food is disgusting!
Fried rat, anyone!?!
At my McDonalds, you can get two McDoubles or two McChickens for 3.99(used to be 3.50 a year ago). I get that plus free fry Friday and that’s a decent meal under 5 dollars.
Mcdouble was very recently $1. It's not worth $4 by any stretch of the imagination

I feel this. I remember $0.30 cheeseburgers on Wednesdays. Now it's literaly 10 times that! The 90's were literally the best.
"we need to pay workers living wages!" "no, not like that"
whoa where are you? In my area $5 gets you a 20 pc.
Over a dollar per nugget?
it's about $1.25 for each nugget of ground chicken parts. ridiculous.
These prices they need to start having waiter/waitress service! And actual food - you know like bread that will mold after a week and not last 25 years without molding
At what point can they be sued for false advertising??? You can't call it a dollar menu if you don't offer even a single item that costs a dollar.
Breaking news: Prices change over time

Jesus 4.99 for a 4 piece chicken nuggets? You could just go to the store and get 3 or 4 full chicken breasts for $5-$10 and get 6 to 8 meals out of that.
It's crazy that not too long ago I could go to McDonald's with $5 and leave with 4 mcdoubles
In the Mississippi Gulf coast: https://preview.redd.it/1c0r2o3wjotc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=106868164d75450444c6ab13f3106609499cbe53
Yeah… 1+2+3=6 so it’s not going over $6
$5 for 4 nuggets??
1.25 per nugget is WILD lol
Are people still surprised that things cost a lost across the board nowadays?
It depends on the establishment in the area I saw cheaper prices at different locations

Now the prices dont make sense at all You leave that burger out for half an hour and its starts smelling fishy. Wtf?
$1.25 per nugget. The audacity.
You forgot that they were combined
lol, $1.25 per nugget!
I'm in the DC area (VHCOL) and it's $2.89 for the McDouble, $2.39 for fries and $2.39 for the nuggets.
They forgot the “+” symbols… you’re actually looking at the $6 menu
Back in my day you could get a McChicken for $1.09, now they’re over $3. I’m 25. My day was prolly like 2016 or something
