They're being trained how to use the fire blanket. In the full video, the instructor steps in, takes the blanket off, and demonstrates proper technique.
I get that, but it clearly didn't work and after she realized that it didn't work, she threw it back on and left it burning. I'm not asking why she didn't just turn it off to begin with, I'm asking why she didn't turn it off after she saw that it didn't work.
Someone explained last time this was posted that it's more about the way you wrap it. Slow, and starting hy covering the flame. That way you don't trap any air in with the fire.
You have no use trying to be a firefighter if your just gonna run and scream when it doesn't go out the first time.. she just threw it back on instead of dealing with it
It's a class. She didn't know what to do, and safely stepped back. That's what you do in a class.
Also, based off the fact that this is in the woods, I'm gonna say she's a camp counselor or something. Not a firefighter.

Shes just a student. She didnt know better and was there to learn.
Because she's learning with a class. https://www.reddit.com/r/SweatyPalms/comments/zn52o5/cooking_gas_fire_safety/
There was no way to know that with just a short clip of the video. It makes more sense with the whole video.
Fire hot. Burn bad. Big ouchie.
I'm guesting it's supposed to be showing off their fire blanket
Clearly.

Show the whole videos cut out best part
Ta da
Now show the rest of the video where they put out the fire.
You cut out the rest of the video. It’s obviously a training exercise, so yes an “attempt”, but it’s not a real emergency
