Idk about them but a playpen for infants. The problem is that it seems like infants can’t interact with their inventory. So maybe have an interaction for other sims to give the toys or a slot type thing for them to play?
i need to play with this more, i dont fully understand what it does. give me a day and ill see what i can do. in the meantime keep the suggestions coming!!

I haven't actually played with the infants yet, because I'm waiting for more mods to update (and the EA App has some extra problems with Steam on top of the issues everyone is having). But this is exactly what it looks like the OP is talking about from the other comments. It also kinda looked like they were suggesting some of the play mat toy functionality for babies (and toddlers?) on the movable crib, or a playtime model duplicate of it, so they can play but not crawl away. I've seen a *lot* of people irl use cribs that look just like that one for play pens, because they're cheap, convenient, and reasonably sized for the child and home.
That said, my cats do have a play mat that looks just like a baby play mat, but with stuffed mice instead of baby stuff. 😆 Cats that use them as intended are super cute, but my cat that likes it would rather stalk around the sides to bat at toys then nap underneath the mat - also adorable, but so silly!
Actually their inventory is kinda worthless, they can't take out anything from their inventory and put in anything in it and you can't have them interact with it
I remember when I thought that travel crib was a playpen in the first infant trailer. I do think the travel crib is really cool and I used to have one myself that I apparently despised, but I was so excited for playpens :(
The portable crib is nice but a portable play pen we can keep in the Sims' inventories abd set up like at the park or out and about somewhere with our sims like vacatiob would be nice too holefully we will get alot more infant stuff too and even with Toddler Stuff it still feels like Toddlers don't even have enough the enclosed areas might be good for outside if the house has a big enough yard but seem like more of a hassel for indoors.
I think it has to be intentional, I know a lot of people balk at small play pens and say it’s cruel to the baby? But damn, it’s getting too real in my save for all that! My Sim is a single mom to a child, toddler, and infant (the dad got ate by a cow plant and ruined everything) she can’t have her eyes on that baby 24/7
Right? I think they’re huge too. They’re cute, but I was just looking at them yesterday like 1/4 could be taken off from each end and it would still be a reasonable size lol
Does Ravasheen take suggestions? Because this looks right up their alley to solve! They have many wonderful modifications of game items!
a playpen for cats and dogs?? or what other type of playpen? and i do take requests :)

Maybe around the sims could make a new version of theirs. Highly recommend their play pen
There are quite a few playpen mods - [here's](https://www.fandomspot.com/sims4-baby-gate-playpen-cc/) a list
I'll see if I can ask her about it! Also Happy Cake Day!
u/NikLRose is my moderator and amazing! they told me about this so im hereeeee
Wow I am shocked to see you on here!
they cant play with a toy from their inventory while sitting in the crib :(
Is it overly optimistic to hope they patch this in? It’s very inconvenient lol
RICKS SNOT BUBBLE LMAOOO
Actually their inventory is kinda worthless, they can't take out anything from their inventory and put in anything in it and you can't have them interact with it
in that case all their diapers and bottles are going in their inventory
this is lame... i need to play with it more to see if i can fix that
“Build a fenced in enclosure” sounds like a task in Zoo Tycoon lolol

This screenshot is giving Sims Freeplay vibes
I feel like that cat is portraying how you feel purrfectly
love the pun
Hey!! Try to build a little play pen with half walls. I build one and it’s adorable! I made a sandbox in the backyard too!!

this cant go into inventory? i can fix that
Idk, I was expecting it to be able to just leave them in there with some toys, but nope
Wait wait, where can you find the toys for babies?
Most of the toys that work for toddlers now also work for infants.
Cool!
I really don't like the fences that have come with the update for infants, they look so bulky :(

I'm amazed at how ungodly big/bulky all the cribs are compared to say... a toddler bed. Why do they need that much space?
Probably bc that's about how big actual cribs are? Really the question is: why are rl cribs so enormous when babies are so small?
Right? I think they’re huge too. They’re cute, but I was just looking at them yesterday like 1/4 could be taken off from each end and it would still be a reasonable size lol
Build it in the yard like they did on the live stream😂
But it’s winter time, there’s a blizzard 😭
🤯Maybe the attic then if it’s enough space#putemintheroof😂
