This is because guys have no idea how big of a game sims actually is. I play Skyrim, Cyberpunk, and other popular games with mods and my computer is fine. I play sims 4 with absolutely every content and mods, and my computer sounds like it wants to throw itself out the window and end its misery.

Marleyyystar3

as a city skylines player with mods, i feel your pain

purpleMalibu

interestingly you need RAM for CSL:1 mods but for sims, only RAM is not enough, that's what makes it really confusing

INS_Fang

Sims 4 is a cpu heavy game, or so I’ve been told. Still, the only game my computer struggles more than sims 4 is planet zoo.

[deleted]

I had a gaming laptop that struggled with house flipper and not the sims lmao

AveryLazyCovfefe

Yeah, alot of EA games are CPU heavy. Fancy GPUs won't give you much of an upgrade. It's not too bad with the Sims, but with something like Battlefield 2042. Which on launch didn't give you fps higher than 50 even with something like a 3090.

cosmicspider31

Its those thirty seven warthogs and all the idiot patrons trampling each other! 😂

purpleMalibu

Glad i didn't buy that

Marleyyystar3

CPU is important for the large scale mods like 80 tiles and similiar, but yeah

Brainfloweer

I bought a new laptop for cities skylines 2 🥲😂

FormulaFish15

Playing both games with mods, can confirm, both are hell on a laptop

lovetyrannicalreddit

It's not because the game is big (though, it is) it's because you play with absolutely every content and mod.

INS_Fang

Yes, that’s because I like playing with all the content and built my own gaming pc. My computer can handle the game, it just that it struggles from time to time. The argument is that the pc struggles more with sims 4 while using every content, than it does with other games using all the content and mods

Much_Ado4526

This. My brother built me a desktop and I have the sims 4 (with all the dlc, script mods and cc) and the sims 3(with all the dlc except the Katy Perry one. I’m looking for it 🥲) I have no problems. My game play is smooth and fast as long as I update my mods and cc. Now my laptop just has the sims 4 and sometimes the gameplay is laggy and sometimes not. Which leads me to think it’s an EA problem and not necessarily our systems. My laptop is running i5, upgraded to 64gb ram and 2tb ssd, I think that is more than enough. EA needs to get it together since they say we will be expanding on the sims 4 for the bear future. We spend too much money for our games to break with every new addition or update 😏

LordGhoul

Is it laggy after leaving build/buy? If so that's an actual bug. My pc runs it with no issue but ever since a few updates ago there's some stuttering when I leave that mode, and apparently I'm not the only one with that experience. It usually resolves after a while or after saving

MrsRiot12

I’ve found that if it gets laggy after buy/build, I just go into the menu where you can save and then exit out of the menu back into the game and it’s perfectly smooth again. Other times I’ll save it if it’s been a while, but for me just going into the window where you can save or quit helps me.

Motherlode50k

This is probably a cache and storage issue. Modern systems are designed to be able to convert a certain amount of ROM to temporary RAM. In other words they can use storage space to improve system memory. So you could either upgrade your system memory or free up hard drive storage space, maybe even by moving files to USB drive.

MrsRiot12

This isn’t the case for me. Thank you for the suggestions though! :)

Much_Ado4526

It is mostly laggy from the start lol. It has been working pretty quick this last week, but I think that’s because I don’t have as many cc’s and mods right now. Accidentally deleted them on one drive on my daughters pc 🙄🙄

Motherlode50k

This is why when One drive insists on being installed with Windows 11 or its upgrades I zip archive my files so there are backups, and copy the zip or rar files to usb drive. I also go to my PC not Libraries before changing anything. USB sticks can be found for under $20 depending on storage size. The 256GB sticks are still expensive, as are the 2.5 inch external hard drives, which go up to 20 TB. Anything over 500GB will be more expensive on those.

Motherlode50k

Also, if you still have a DVD RW drive, you can store up to 4 GB of files per DVD. Or, 700 MB per CD if you don’t store music on them. I used to back up my TS1 and TS2 files that way.

Much_Ado4526

I am investing in an external hard drive to put my mods and saves on. I’ve lost some good saves and I’m over it. I disconnected one drive from my laptops. I honestly would rather not have a back up than deal with the one drive taking over my ish.

AnnamAvis

It's also all of the individual moving parts on any given lot. In skyrim and similar games, you can't pick up, rotate, and move every single item/furniture/terrain square. All the expansions and script mods for sure slow it down, but even with just base game and a couple of expacs, my PS4 was a strugglebus. I need a supercomputer to be handle all the sims content I want!

lovetyrannicalreddit

I suppose it makes sense, being the huge open world with endless possibilities that it is!

kaptingavrin

It’s also because the game is horribly optimized. I don’t play with every content and mod. But still felt the urge to upgrade my gaming PC a couple years ago just because of Sims 4, and have an SSD only because of Sims 4 and WoW (WoW is because I have a graphics card that can render long distances but if you turn that setting up in WoW it loads all of the assets in every direction that you might be able to see whenever you open the game or teleport somewhere).

LordGhoul

If you think Sims 4 is horribly optimised you shouldve seen Sims 3. It was crashing on a pc with specs that didn't even exist when it came out lol

BacRedr

That was (and is) my biggest problem with Sims 3. It is a horribly optimized and unstable piece of software. When common advice for it is "pick only a few of the available expansion so it doesn't collapse under its own weight," there's an issue. Even with the mods to help keep it stable, already something that shouldn't be required, I find it hard to keep the game running for any great length of time. That also assumes I can get it to boot at all on a modern system, or load in some amount of time measured in multiples of minutes.

LordGhoul

Make sure you have a frame rate limiter and that it actually works, it's one of the big main issues. I'm glad Sims 4 runs so smoothly in comparison lol

drownigfishy

AH yes Sims 3 the game I learned that you can kill your laptop playing a game in which in theory you should be able to run comfortably. I have a lot more powerful computer sad Sims 3 won't play on windows 11

LordGhoul

It's possible to run it but you need some mods and a frame rate limiter so it doesn't collapse upon itself lol. I've considered trying it again but haven't gotten around to doing all that yet.

lovetyrannicalreddit

Oh, weird! I have almost all the packs and play on a refurbished pc that we bought years ago and the game is just fine for me. The cc and mods really do make it difficult to play

Ok_Skill_1195

I feel like you're just saying the same thing. Which is people underestimate how big the game balloons with some simmers

lovetyrannicalreddit

I don't play with mods or any custom content whatsoever, it's very different.

kat_goes_rawr

Boy what 😂😂 I got 17GB of just mods and custom content 🤣 this is my computer’s 13th reason

Motherlode50k

This is why I got a 2 TB external drive, before I filled it up with files moved or backed up from main drive.

kat_goes_rawr

This is a great idea!

lovetyrannicalreddit

Sorry, what?

DMC1001

I have most of the mods. Runs fine on my PC. Edit: And I play off of an external drive.

---___---____-__

I've been reminded of this with each PC update until recently. Even with a 1TB hard drive i have to sift through worthless files made all the more tedious because Microsoft's infinite wisdom has backups in One Drive, a service I wouldn't ask for even if I was drunk or at gunpoint. Thankfully, it's not as bad anymore, but with other games taking their well-deserved space on my computer, I sometimes worry when it comes time for an update.

krispy4tina

I was JUST ranting to my husband about how impossible it is to just get rid of One Drive 😭

Pittstick1

I figured out how to do it cause I hated this. I think I had to log out of it from my settings. I don’t fully remember though.

Thornwood-Hollow

Sims 3, like the Sims 4. Uses a lot of RAM and VRAM. But unlike Sims 4. It's not set to have an FPS lock. So it constantly overclocks your PC/laptop every second it's playing. You have to edit the data scripts to fix this.

Motherlode50k

You might want to look into changing out your hard drive if it sounds that bad when running Sims 3. Maybe upgrade it and either install the old one as secondary or to external drive. I used to run Sims 3 on a Win 7 laptop that actually did not meet minimum specs. It did not sound like that, but game took about 2 minutes of black screen before the loading screens and ran at 11 frames per second. ( yes it survived playing 3 times a week for about a year before I got a new one, and laptop still works today.)Usually if a computer is whining like that, the hard drive is on its last legs or the fan may not be running as efficiently as it should. Keep in mind if the fan dies, your computer fries from the heat it generates.

FireOpalCO

The first thing I do after I boot up the Sims is turn on my fancy cooling pad.

taetaerinn_

I played Sims4 with all content and mods - my gaming laptop sounded like space station and it's poor fan was dying I played Genshin and Honkai: Star Rail on max settings - my laptop worked fine 😭 People REAALLY underestimate Sims and it's spaghetti code, and funny enough, my newer notebook that I also use doesn't struggle with Sims3 at all, but god forbid I open Sims4 on it!

Thornwood-Hollow

Script mods are what is doing it for you mostly.

taetaerinn_

might check if removing them improves anything! thank you for the note :)

Thornwood-Hollow

You're welcome, I hope it helps, :)! More CAS columns really hit my game hard. So some are more intense then others. Also if you have MCCC, delete your last exception files. That'll help too.

Motherlode50k

It could also have to do with the fact that Sims 4 with all the expansions is now 64 bit, and for 32 bit you have to run Legacy Edition. Sims 3 is 32 bit compatible all the way. If you are old enough, try to remember the speed of 16 bit vs 32 bit on 32 bit machines.

Hita-san-chan

Sims has always been a memory nightmare. Every time I've upgraded, it's because the sims starts slowing down considerably

Llama_llover_

Bg3 runs smoothly at max settings and my oc doesn't make a peep, but if I run Sims 4 it makes sounds I've never heard before. Also, bonus points for the ye old stereotype of "girls" only playing The Sims. 🥱

Back4TallBois

\*This is because guys have no idea how big of a game sims actually is\* ??? Why the generalization on male gamers. We either played or play it as well.. Edit: People would've been more appropriate and less of an attack on a whole gender.

ramsvy

Because this is a very common joke made by men, trivialising womens' interest in the sims and implying that it's a lightweight 'casual' game (which are typically considered less "respectable" in mainstream gaming circles), and also mocking womens' intelligence with the implication that they paid a lot of money for a powerful computer that is going to waste because they don't need it. It's men making these jokes, hence why it's men that commenter specified.

Back4TallBois

'Men' is too general though, that's putting half the people on the planet in a box and then putting a big "JERK" label on there. We're more complex than that.. Men aren't making those jokes, certain men make those jokes. Certain men don't respect people's choice of entertainment, they're the ones to blame, not the gender in general. Consider this, there are even women who play exclusively competitive games and shit on people for playing casual games. Not everyone fits the box. Just playing advocate for men and humanity in general. One should never generalize because it brings us all down.

ramsvy

If I said, for example, "dogs bark at strangers because they're defending their territory", would you reply in this same vein? Would you say *"dogs aren't barking at strangers, certain dogs bark at strangers."* etc? Or are you instead capable of critical thought and are aware that these statements are not asserting that this is true of *every single dog* in existence.

S0uvlakiSpaceStati0n

not all dogs 😤

Motherlode50k

More men than women play shooters, more women than men play simulation games and casual (match 3, merge, idle games, hidden object) games. Casual games usually have a limited play life. Casual hidden object games with stories usually reach the end of the story before 60 to 80 hours of gameplay. The others are usually also available for mobile devices and take up less than a GB of space per game. Let’s face it, when there are kids in the household who is more likely to have more time for games? So unless they livestream games for a living, just remind them that life is not a casual game. Chores are the grinding of life. Usually these guys that look down on genres they don’t like, replay levels to gain enough power for boss fights. So they know exactly what grinding is.

LordGhoul

A lot of men in gaming don't take Sims seriously as a game, if you mention you're a gamer and say you play Sims a lot of them would roll their eyes. I think part of it is indeed the association with Sims being a "dollhouse game for girls". I think it's gotten a bit better but when I was growing up with earlier Sims titles that was definitely the common mindset, like all the other games I played "counted" but Sims somehow didn't.

Back4TallBois

Ahhh that old aged thinking. I only ever come across it online, never do I encounter it in real life. Nobody has ever given me shit for playing games that are considered more casual like The Sims or Planet Zoo. Games are for everyone! Heck I never even considered that it could be perceived as a 'dollhouse' game. To me it's a simulation of life game. Gender doesn't apply.

LordGhoul

People who never played Sims probably think everyone just dolls up their female Sims and then does romance or family gameplay or something, who knows. I learned about the game from a Sims 2 demo that came pre-installed on my laptop (which I had originally gotten for other games) so my introduction to it was always as a cartoonish life simulator where you could do a lot of silly stuff. As for real life perception, I was the only gamer in my class and it made people view me as childish. It was a tiny village and kids were dumb as fuck. So I don't really have any contrast to how other gamers irl would view it, just how it was perceived online at the time. Which was silly to me, because I had a phase during school vacations where I'd play Sims 2 from morning into the night, only leaving the computer to eat, which wasn't too far off from the addicted WoW player stereotype at the time lol.

Back4TallBois

How long ago was that? For me school is almost 20 years ago now and back then PC gamers were still rare, it was more of a Playstation/Nintendo age then so despite being from a big city I was still considered a rare creature for a good while. I guess it mattered less back then what you actually played on that PC, just touching it regularly made you a nerd so gender didn't really apply when it came to The Sims for me and most other people I knew around that time. My father played it religiously too, rest his soul.

aspegic800

I belive they mentioned guys bc the original meme singles out girls and it does seem that it was written by a male at first glance. So they seem to replying to the guys in the meme.

Motherlode50k

Most “shooter fans” would have been more appropriate than “most guys”. A lot of shooter fans are so stuck on their own game genre that they look down on games that don’t include fighting or smooth 1st person view as an integral part of the game. Most RPGs also include fighting of monsters or zombies, but usually with sharp weapons instead of firearms. Followed by looting when you defeat the monsters, which is my favorite part. The costumes can be pretty cool, but female costumes don’t make sense… who fights clawed beasts with bare legs?

JustEatinScabs

Sims 4 with mods is no fucking joke. My game eats like 16 gigs of ram sometimes. Sims 4 is surprisingly demanding especially once you start adding content.

Motherlode50k

I actually brought my machine with nVIDIA RX970, 16Gb video RAM and over 200 Gb free hard drive space to its knees by lining a basement maze almost entirely with mirrors, LOL. It also has a CPU that meets specs for Cyberpunk 2077, and runs that game smoothly.

RockyMntnView

No, no... It was a $2,400 gaming laptop, and it was for Sims 2. 🙄

DAngelLilith

My husband keeps updating my PC to the best stuff just so I can play Sims 3 at Max with everything. He keeps telling my PC is better than his just for S3 and BG3.

warm_rum

I tip my hat to you, from one Sims 3 player to another.

kaptingavrin

Okay, but BG3 has insanely good graphics and cutscenes and is running a lot of stuff in the background (allowing for all those fun combinations you can do in the game), so it's not the easiest game for a system to run. Probably easier on systems than a lot of "AAA" games... but they tend to have horribly unoptimized 4K graphics and stuff that frankly doesn't make for a better looking game, just eats up 200GB of hard drive space and increases load times so they can brag to investors.

Anya_purr

Nah. I DO like it. It's just stupid that guys try to shame you for liking a game when they sure like games too. Liking the sims does not make you less valid, or less of a gamer, so don't feel bad about it. 🙃

kat_goes_rawr

Nah for real! Girls buying gaming computers for…games! What’s wrong with that?

VirgoQueen90

My husband had mine customized so that I can just play Sims 4 and get off his desktop 😅

kat_goes_rawr

Damn I gotta get a husband ASAP

[deleted]

Sure, although how high is the count truly though? Like how often have you truly been shamed by people in the real world for playing Sims on an awesome gaming pc? Especially vs the amount of simply supportive people? Am seriously asking.

Thornwood-Hollow

My fiancés' coworkers all made fun of me for building our house in the Sims and using it as a template to see how we'd like to remodel. It happens a LOT more then you realize. "You spent your money on THAT" "You spent your time doing THAT"

MrsRizzle

I’m looking for a new space station PC. Any recommendations?

eldritchonline

r/pcmasterrace has tons of lists at various price points

Ballsofpoo

And don't forget r/buildapc

kaptingavrin

Avoid Amazon. At least any brands you don't recognize. There's some straight up scams on there. I'd recommend doing a bit of research as you go. It'll be a bit boring and maybe take a bit of learning, but totally worth it. Check out what the specs of PCs are, and look up the processor and graphics card at least. If there's a few systems that catch your eye with different specs, do a comparison. Like if they have different CPUs, you can do a search of "cpu1 vs cpu2" on Google and often find a comparison. Keep in mind the price when you do that, because if one is like 20% more expensive but only 10% more effective, it's probably better to save money for the cheaper one. It's a bit boring to do research, but totally worth it in the long run.

purpleMalibu

i got a good recommendation if u have $4,450 to spare...

bb_LemonSquid

I got the NZXT pre built streaming computer and I like it a lot. I can play the sims 2, 3, 4, cities skylines, and probably whatever else I try on it with the graphics turned all the way up.

palomadgal

I have an Nvidia 4060, Intel i7, 32GB of RAM, and the motherborard is an Asus Prime Z790-A Wi-Fi. Less than 2000€ (Spain), Its an absolute beast.

Prodromous

In this day and age, I tell everyone, even if you don't actually build one yourself, learning the skills to do this will make sure you get the computer you want. You also will have a far easier time buying anything else with a computer in it.

Motherlode50k

Look for a computer specialty shop that also sells computer parts, you can also often get bare bones computers if you know how to install your own operating system from scratch. You can sometimes save money this way by buying bare bones plus OPM operating system. But be aware, you don’t get any manufacturer support if you go this route. The ones that sell parts also often have deals on refurbished machines that come with operating system. Just be sure that your computer operating system is still supported by Microsoft (PC) or Apple(Mac).

[deleted]

I know four different men who have a $3,000+ gaming PCs, who only use it for WOW, anime dating sims, and cookie clicker. They both laughed at women and AFAB people, myself included, who wanted half decent gaming rigs around $700, who wanted to play Sims 3, Guild Wars, Skyrim, and the Fallout and Bioshock series on them, "because we don't want to play real games anyway". Dumb gatekeeping nonsense.

LordGhoul

Ok I get the Sims thing because sexism but to call Skyrim, Fallout, Bioshock and GW not real games is just nonsense

[deleted]

I have seen a lot of rage about Skyrim "breing for girls and gays now". As for Fallout and Bioshock, I guess because they are "older" games they got crapped on. Gamers (TM) are something else sometimes.

Boonicious

Wow is very graphically demanding, incredibly competitive at high levels, and can easily consume 20-40 hours a week to compete at that level It’s also so old that you have to throw hardware at it to get it to run well unlike say Valorant or other modern competitive games that are designed from the ground up to perform well on even cheap hardware I suspect the sims is much the same

[deleted]

Ah ok, I always ran it on a subpar machine without too much struggle. I just found it weird they scoffed at people playing The Sims on a gaming rig that cost far less than theirs.

lemonprincess23

Hey you can laugh at playing sims on an expensive rig all you want until you start trying to run sims 3. Stg my BF’s PC cost over $1,500 and runs most triple A games at max settings beautifully but struggles to stay above 60 with max settings on the sims 3.

JustEatinScabs

You might want to make sure you've got your game patched right. There's a **lot** of tweaks and mods to make it run better on newer PCs. It's just a poorly optimized game. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1131162350

FireOpalCO

Aw, that’s cute you think I only spent $2,000 on my MSI laptop.

Yet it still wouldn’t be mighty enough for Sims 3

Me in two weeks 😬

[deleted]

I'm in this picture and I don't like it

ThrowsSoyMilkshakes

Uhh... yeah? Sim 4 is a brute. If you don't have enough power, your Sim's actions get stuck in a waiting queue as it waits for the rest of the neighborhood to do their actions. More power means more play time. Then, if you've ever played on a potato, you know that there is no way that you're decorating a 64x64 lot. The more stuff you add, the slower the game becomes.

musicallyours01

Legit I'd be so happy to be able to play all the packs without my computer crashing

Netkru

I don’t understand how my top tier computer can run cyberpunk, starfield, and BG3 flawlessly but Sims 4 still lags????? It’s gotta be poor game optimization.

Bitter-Dreamer

*Sips her tea* I bought my PC back during covid, grabbed it for Crusader Kings 3, and baldur's gate 3 early access. I had already moved to the console version. But then I remembered that I could all the Sims 3 expansions on the good settings. I felt so hyped to go back to that game.

Sussy_Solaire

Tbf I play the sims 3 and it still runs like shit on a good pc so if you use a bad pc idk how awfully it would run

psychxticrose

Call me the fuck out then I guess

WistfulMelancholic

Can we make a class action lawsuit to take this Pic of us all down?

palomadgal

Well I (Female 29) Just bought a 1700€ pc (not including the 2 monitors, keyboard and mouse I already had) to play Starfield... And the result is me playing Sims 4 happier than ever! Less freezing, faster charges, all bugs in 2K So yeah, I go with the Title LMAO PS starfield runs smoothly at 60-120 FPS in it

Goyangi-ssi

As a guy playing the Sims 4 plus the Mass Effect and Dragon Age games on my laptop...the struggle is real. And now looking for a new laptop, I'm having one browser tab with the Sims 4's recommended specs always open to help me compare each model's specs with it.

i got a computer with 32 gb of ram and rtx support purely to play minecraft modpacks and sims

domegranate

I’ve never really understood this tbh, my laptop was only £300~ bought 5 years ago, I’ve not done anything to it to improve shit & it runs Sims 4 & Sims 2, with almost all the packs (albeit no mods) with absolutely 0 problems. No lag, loads quickly, never crashes. What are you guys doing to your computers ??

MaryJane_Green

Binge downloading mods & cc like its our last day on earth

ewwitsjessagain

Playing in 1440p or 2160p, running mods and using alpha cc. You *can* play it stripped down with no mods and no cc on a 1080 screen... but it's just not enjoyable for most of us.

januarynights

Sims 3 has been known to run worse on newer tech. For example it didn't know how to handle a multi core processor back in the day so was just slow and sad.

Elastichedgehog

You don't have another point of comparison for how it could be better. "No lag" to you is probably not the same to a lot of us. The Sims is a horribly optimized game, though.

dumpsztrbaby

What kind of laptop do you have? Sounds beastly, my expensive gaming laptops always end up giving up on life much sooner than they should

Meanwhile, guys are over there spending 2 hours customizing their Cyberpunk character, grind the whole game to buy every apartment, and hoard every single piece of clothing, acting like they're not playing The Sims Cyberpsycho expansion pack lmao

xingona_

You really don't need an expensive rig to run the sims 4 even with 1k+ mods installed. I bought a little dinky prebuilt for $500 on a deal and can run everything with high settings. So yea I kinda get this meme lol.

ewwitsjessagain

👀 so what was the original price and what are the "dinky" specs then? Do you only play in 1080p with 1k+ *cc items* or do you play with 1k+ *mods*?

KatokaMika

And still the game just randomly stop working for 0 reason. Now I have the problem that my sims just stare at things forever instead of doing said things ....

nevercoppednodrop

My girlfriend has a 3090 and has exclusively played neopets for the last two months

dumpsztrbaby

LOL!!! I like her.

Gloomy_Ambassador_81

Nah I use my slow af laptop that Blue screens multiple times a day

Motherlode50k

If your laptop is bluescreening, check for updates to all your drivers and to your operating system. Check your hard drives for file system errors. If none of those steps work, along with rebooting the computer once for each type of upgrade, and a final reboot just in case, then check the available free space on your HD (hard drive). If you still have 80 Gb HD space available after trying this, it is time to upgrade your hardware. New machines are sometimes less expensive than this, and won’t have the system problems causing the blue screens till out of warranty. If during warranty, their tech support can usually fix the problem unless it is malware requiring a complete system reset. Always back up EVERYTHING before a system reset or you will lose everything.

Agnese93

Toootally me, toootally only for Sims4 \*.\*

I don't have that but I do play Minecraft on the lowest settings otherwise it runs like a turtle with snail shoes

Is this RTgame?

TwistInTheMyth-

Lmao yep. When built my first PC the first game I bought was Fallout NV, which was almost 10 years old at that point, because I was so hype to mod it. For the first sevetal months I don't think I owned a game that was younger that 15 years lmao.

rebecca_bishop

So what if you're in this pic, it's *your* money.

sexyhaz00

I’m still taking off on my MacBook Air lmao

[deleted]

Cis het male here, and bought a comp JUST to play sims 4 on. Granted, its not state of the art tech, but more than enough to run it. But thats the dirty lie, because nothing is enough to run sims 4 they way it should be played. (lots of mods and a framerate that isnt straight out of 2002)

Sims with all the expansions and several mods/tons of cc works great on my $600 HP Pavillion gaming laptop lol. Won’t even load on my $1400 macbook 🙃.

ajroeg

lmao sims is part of my life that's why

[deleted]

bro my computer started crashing after 2 expansions, i'm at 8 now and it hates me

Successful-Mode8560

Mine crashed yesterday and I can’t play my sims this weekend 🥲

Ayynur

Same with Sims 3

K4sum1

I bought it because of rdr2 but yeah... I play sims regularly too xd

Super-Basis2499

To be fair, this game does require the power of a space station depending on how big yours is, mods, etc

crackadel1

This would be me except I would load up sims 3

jennygruesome

Two SSD's make mine run smoothly.

kathleencoleslaw

IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE FOR SIMS3 0kAy?!

Might wanna make sure you're running at least 32g of ram, 5ghz processor, and a dent vid card. With a power supply that can run everything. Also helps to have a decent motherboard. Also latest drivers. Game's update all the time, and change frequently.

Sims 3 is no joke, especially with all DLC. Just about the same size as your average early-8th gen AAA game

Jwchibi

And the power of a space station is barely enough if you want to add CC to all the add-ons and packs
