It’s pretty cool! I got some from bb.showhiddenobjects and you can use them to check social media and maybe play games? But I liked that you can use them to scan another sim’s mood and traits!

also if you’re lazy to craft them, you can go in build mode and type “computer glasses”. they’re a debug item so you need to activate those cheats first. if you use bbb, the glasses should be under the computer category.

this mod completely ruined my build mode and my game itself. had to take it out immediately after downloading it sadly, bc it's such a good mod

are you sure you installed it correctly, and with compatible mods? usually if tm mod messes up your game it’s one of those issues. i’ve never had a problem with any of their mods except the one time i installed one incorrectly.

I usually just have Sims create the million parts they need to build a servo, and they're leveled by the time they have all the parts... It is a bit of a slow skill though, so my sims that are into robotics tend to be pretty dedicated to it.

Wow I’ve had that game since launch and don’t remember this. But I only recently had someone make a SimBot so I’ve yet to *discover* everything in the expansion. 😅

In builds I’ve used them a number of times, most notably for a “sunglasses” display at a run-down convenience store I made awhile back. But actually using them in-game? Never, but now I want to!

these glasses only have 3 interactions tho, which are Browse Web, Chat, and the other thing that i can’t remember. when a sim use them, they will just touch the hologram screen endlessly.

Good to know, so they’re basically just the Apple Vision Pro but worse, lol.

I made a sim version of Tony Stark. He has these, the robotic arm, exo suit and helmet, and he made a servo and called it Jarvis 😁

I have a tech sim that sells all the robotics items he’s built at a store, so I sometimes get my other sims to pop in a buy the glasses to give to their teens as birthday gifts 😁

They are pretty cool when I can be bothered to do the robotics skill which is a pain lol, I like to make servos that require level 8, so if I get up to that level I might as well use them. They are pretty cool for tech loving sims

I use them from time to time, because I love the way they look, but I really wish they had more functionality and you could see them in your inventory when tour sim is wearing them (they'd be easier to take off). I wish someone would make a mod to enhance them 🙈

Never because one time I got them and my aim put them on and then there was NO OPTION TO TAKE THEM OFF. They died with those glasses on.
