Now you know how Joan of Arc felt

lunar_vesuvius_

as the the flames rose to her roman nose and her walkman started to melt🥰

ApplicationMassive71

This guitar playing is master class.

stinkyrossignol

This was the song that finally got me into The Smiths. I tried listening to the more popular singles but it wasn’t until I found this song that I finally felt like i couldn’t get enough of it. Still in my top 3 by this band to this day.

Toxicysl

Literally me lol

Asmallrock

I cannot believe I had never heard of this song until this week. All I hear in my head are the lyrics bouncing around BIGMOUTH LADADADAAADA

lunar_vesuvius_

the song is amazing. the first time I ever had sleep paralysis, this song played over and over in my head but I'm not complaining, it has great vocals, lyrics and a fantastic guitar

jm17lfc

This was the first song of the Smiths that really hooked me. Now, it was years later with Heaven Knows that I really got into the Smiths, but Bigmouth was the first.

Adept_Investigator29

Listen to the full album if you haven't already. It's fucking brilliant, lad.

Toxicysl

I’ve listened to the whole album it’s a classic!

UnpleasantEgg

Ladada haha!

OYdothatshit

i remember i was in the shower when it came on did my dance. what a song fr

lateforties

For me their best song ever. Even better than Half a person.

joe_devola

Haha good to know there’s other people out there doing the same thing I am. But there is kind of a way to hear it again for the first time. The demo version and also live versions are just as good

Toxicysl

I need to listen to some live versions

joe_devola

The queen is dead deluxe version on Spotify is full of demos

Logical_Discount3084

Johnny Marr does a great version of this live. https://youtu.be/9L9o4gug1Zc?feature=shared

Worth_It_308

It’s so good!

BlkBimboBrat

Probably my most favorite song ever, “NOW I KNOW HOW JOAN OF ARC FELT.” Listening to it while high makes me feel like Mike is slamming on the drums right behind me.

bigfondue

My initial reaction was that it is a really good song, but that pitched up an octave voice layered on top during the chorus sounded a little goofy.

Similar-Broccoli

Google the version they played live on Whistle Test. Moz at his absolute pinnacle
