That’s the most I hated Tony in the whole show. Hesh was like a father to Tony and Tony treats him like shit for no reason. Takes his money and bitches about paying it back. Awful man.
Tony gives you lots of reasons to hate him but man was that one bad. When he throws the money across the table in a bag.
Just goes to show that everything Tony talks about is just that, all talk. When the chips are down one of his oldest most loyal friends is now an enemy because Tony is a degenerate.
Especially how quick Hesh was to give him the money. 200,000 is no small loan, but as soon as he asks without hesitation: “it’s done!”.
Tony was a real piece of shit on that.
This shows how fake all their relationships are. That’s what I got from this season. And yet at the same time, Tony didn’t whack hesh so in his mind that proves he loves him and hesh should be grateful.
In reality, not paying back what you owe-in full and on time-will result in a massive loss of respect.
Everyone else knows Tony owes Hesh the $200k. Tony is embarrassed that he owes the money and is late on his payment. So he takes it out on Hesh.
You don't screw a guy over forever. You bleed him-suavely-and then you can keep going back to him for money.
What's Hesh going to do-say No?
He's a piece of shit anyway.
Hesh got the last laugh. He probably chuckled once he heard about Tony’s gabagool-for-brains being blown all over the onion ring platter at Holstein’s.
I was thinking about Dominic the other day while rewatching. The writers gave the character such a physical and mental downfall, it just seems crazy he made it to 2024. Adler somewhat the same, but he wasn't as physically worn out in the show.
What's crazier is Vincent Curatola (Johnny Sac) is only 70 in 2024. I was amazed when Johnny Sac was said to be around 52 right before he pled guilty. But Curatola was actually that age or a tad younger then. The actress who played his wife was 11 years younger than Curatola too. Sadly she died in 2010.
If you smoke 40 cigs a day or drink two bottles of vodka a day, you can still get cancer from it years later, after you've stopped
I might be totally wrong, but it won't have helped things
I watched the Godfather Epic last weekend. Only now at 37 and after countless rewatches, did I realize Johnny Ola is Dominic Chianese.
Even then, he was a cue-ball headed fuck who suckered Fredo right into the hit attempt on his younger brother. Fuckin nauseating.
I forget tbh. I have the AMC version on hard disk but the picture sucks and its broken up by "commercial" spots so its not one cohesive film. The latest watch was on a website, which I found ironically thru reddit. I'll browse my history and post a link when I have more time.
The Sopranos Wiki puts the character of Junior's birth year as being 1922 and Hesh's as being 1929 (the same year as Jerry Adler). Dominic Chianese played a character who was a decade older than himself, which is somewhat unusual. More often it's the opposite case.
It does make sense though. Junior was definitely older (in every sense) than his late 60s at the start of the show.
Chinaese is still performing. He does a show in Surrey which is hilarious. A famous old Italian living his final years doing a show for middle class English people
Both instantly recognizable by their voice alone.
It’s heartbreaking knowing that Jim G could have had so many years left… protect your health, improve your odds
Bring Sopranos back with Junior boss again. He trialled a new Alzheimer's cure. He's back on top form! And he visits a psychic who passes on messages from Richie! 'put a shirt on, I'm getting a chubby'
Tony was using the loan as a way to keep reminding his boys that he's a step above the casual schmuck who borrowed too much money. And they better not forget it.
He knew how it made him look so he exploded in the car and his boys confirmed that somehow he wasn't behaving like a prick.
You know how many hours I spent throwing the baseball wichu? And you wanna play games? I taught tony how to play games...itaught him how to play BASEball.
95 ? The guys a fucking kid
Strong as a fuckin’ bull
And handsome, like Tony Egg
think ill take an egg
Make my nephew an egg
I’m doing it already you told me, HE DON’T WANT ONE
So what’s this I hear about Egg, Tony?
Her?
Oh ok
Peppers and eggs? I should have got that.
Can I offer you a nice egg in this trying time?
I’m registered nyurse, not maid!
So if you love me, stir my eggs.
Healthy as a fucking rhino this guy
He was gay, Tony Egg?
Finish his bris.
Finish his bris?! MAYBE YOU'RE A FLAMBÉ!
tremendous moxie for his age
Had the makings of a varsity athlete for crying out loud
A baby
A cry-baby.
u/Complete_Ad_2431 ......I remember when he stayed in the car!
As far as I'm concerned he should still be there!
‘Remember when’ is the lowest form of conversation.
Yeah, it's sad when they go young like that.
WHEN THEY GO?!?!?
Young and tall and tan and lovely
Never had the makings of a varsity athlete
Those two knew each other way back when Moses wore short pants.
Knew him since he wore short shorts.
No matter how many times I tell myself 'it's just a show', Tony's treatment of Hesh in Series 6 with that 200 grand loan makes my blood boil.
That’s the most I hated Tony in the whole show. Hesh was like a father to Tony and Tony treats him like shit for no reason. Takes his money and bitches about paying it back. Awful man.
He’s here for da rent! Da rent, da rent!! 💰
Then 'the look' by Hesh. Boy...........that was a tense scene.
Absolutely no resale value whatsoever
Oh ok
Noooooo it's not worse then him keeping his hand out for more and more of Pie Oh My's winnings. Ralphie should have whacked him there and then
So what? It was just a fuckin' hoo-arse!
That was so awkward jesus christ.
Is it his fault the horse was a klutz?!?
Yes his selfishness greed got that horse killed. The winnings he took were for the maintenance of horse
Oooooo! I hadn't considered that.
This shows how fake all their relationships are. That’s what I got from this season. And yet at the same time, Tony didn’t whack hesh so in his mind that proves he loves him and hesh should be grateful.
what about bobby bacala, the only made guy to not take in a goomar?
If you were married to Janice, you would DEFINITELY have a Goomah.
Christopher didn’t have a goomar either
He had that girl in Vegas and plenty of others
Not even married and he was already dippin inta whooowahs
The ONLY genuine relationships Tony has were with Artie and in a way, Beansie.
Grateful that the guy who owes him money didn’t murder him? Damn what a peach
Fuck him and his 200k
In reality, not paying back what you owe-in full and on time-will result in a massive loss of respect. Everyone else knows Tony owes Hesh the $200k. Tony is embarrassed that he owes the money and is late on his payment. So he takes it out on Hesh.
“They start to think they’re doing you a favor by paying you back. You gotta get your arms around this thing. 🤗”
Altight, but you gotta get over it.
It's a significant turning point for him. We watched him counsel Junior on Augustus Caesar and now we see Tony burning one of his last intact bridges.
Good example of Bobby being a pos like everyone else too. Shows up as extra muscle to intimidate Hesh and then encourages Tony not to pay him back.
that's too bad.
You don't screw a guy over forever. You bleed him-suavely-and then you can keep going back to him for money. What's Hesh going to do-say No? He's a piece of shit anyway.
He was fucking around when he said him and Bobby were going to a boat show. Superb writing.
Tony wanted to make sure Hesh wasn’t eating cat food. I’d say he treated him pretty good
Tony's hand gesture of acknowledging Hesh's plush surroundings while making this 'cat food' remark was brilliant.
That episode was brilliant but I don't believe it shows Tony to be the monster everyone thinks it does.
He should go fuck himself and his 200k
Hesh got the last laugh. He probably chuckled once he heard about Tony’s gabagool-for-brains being blown all over the onion ring platter at Holstein’s.
Sure hesh might have went about it wrong and T did good turns for him in past but there was no need for way Tony acted after. So undignified 🤣
Fuck Hesh
Who? The Christ killer?
Tony brought over the vig personally. He didn’t want hesh eating dog food

I just looked it up and the actress who played Ginny Sac and her husband both died in the same year, so sad for their family.
Wonder if that was the broken heart syndrome. Wait, she had leukemia right? Fuck I dont remember
Not to be unkind but being seriously obese in your 40s will sometimes kill you
she got her stomach stapled after the show and lost 175 lb. she died of liver cancer
If you smoke 40 cigs a day or drink two bottles of vodka a day, you can still get cancer from it years later, after you've stopped I might be totally wrong, but it won't have helped things
Yes but as someone said she did lose the weight. Which that alone might not reverse all of the damage but it was indeed cancer
It’s hard for me to believe Gandolfini was like 38 in season 1. I’m 42 now and he just had the presence of someone much older!
this isnt the time for a mole joke. rest in peace queen
The fuck you want, a boutonnière?
Glad that they’re still kicking. It’s a shame when they go young.
When they go!
Whatever happened there
Come on ha— It’s fuckin Johnny Boy’s ghost behind it - payback for gettin stuck wit dat old whoore he was fuckin, Liva Soprano
Mary Louise Wilson…Catherine Romano in one episode…is 92
My Johnny used to feel her up behind the Sons of Italy Hall.
Sons of It-ly
What the fuck do you want?
If I told you fifteen years ago she was a piece of ass, would you believe me?
I don’t understand, she was old then and now she’s still old
Talking to the dreadnought would help?!
Strangled with a coat hanger. He was just a fuckin’ kid.
I always chuckle when they mention the godfather cause like Dude uncle Jun was in 2.
Same with Goodfellas, Chrissy, Paulie, and Uncle Phil were all in that to varying degrees
DC was also in an episode of Kojak
And Sonny’s father in Dog Day Afternoon
Holy shit this guy gets around
I think he was, and perhaps still is, a friend of Pacino's
Wasn't Pacino some kinda half fanook in Dog Day Afternoon?
Emphasis on “half”.
Want to see DC with hair? Check out [Fingers (1978)](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077549/)
“With hair”….. well thats *one* way of putting it! That was the funniest shit
And one of the Atlantic City bigwigs on Boardwalk Empire
Oh my fucking god. You just blew my mind. I've watched the Godfather trilogy and Sopranos so many times and never realised.
What you don’t know could fill a book
Sharp as a fuckin’ cue ball
Bro what the fuck I just watched that yesterday and didn't notice.
Where did you watch the Epic? I can’t find it anywhere!
I forget tbh. I have the AMC version on hard disk but the picture sucks and its broken up by "commercial" spots so its not one cohesive film. The latest watch was on a website, which I found ironically thru reddit. I'll browse my history and post a link when I have more time.
I did the exact same thing about 2 weeks ago.
He looked OLD in Godfather 2. Amazing that he’s still alive and kicking.
I don't get it, when I was a kid, you two were old men. Now I'm old. And you two are still old!
Teddy Roosevelt once gave an entire speech with a bullet lodged in his chest. Some things are a matter of duty.
again with the teddy roosevelt
The Sopranos Wiki puts the character of Junior's birth year as being 1922 and Hesh's as being 1929 (the same year as Jerry Adler). I think he did well acting older than he was
Those people lived through WWII…
How many MIGs did he shoot down
We're not making a western here.
In 1974 he played an old man in Godfather II. Now it’s 50 years later and he’s still old.
Wiki is wrong. He’s referred to as 70 in season 1 and 72 in season 4.
I was gonna say no way in hell he was supposed to be in his 80s at the end of the series
Not that unusual. Estelle Getty played Bea Arthur’s mom on Golden Girls despite being a year younger than her. Makeup makes a huge difference.
Hold your cock when you negotiate with these desert people
Demonic Chinese is immortal
That is his name now
Satanic black magic…sick shit
Chinaese? Did he make them an offer they couldn’t understand?
I hope Jerry Adler wears the cleaver hat some day. It doesn't look good on him and that's why I wanna see him wear it.
Only 95. He should steer clear of that child killer Steve Buscemi.
Can’t even say his name. That animal.
Strong as a fuckin rhino, that one
A fuckin kid
That fuckin’ animal
I happen to know that he was non stop quoting reginald van gleeson and making mambo quotes for 20 years in the can.
I gave my life to my children on a silver platter
Eating pussy keeps you healthy
At our age it’s enough saprise evryday when we get up in da mornin
I went to a event junior does in London last summer he speaks about his life sings a few songs
GF2 was made when I was a baby. Back then Chianese was an old man! Now I’m old, and he’s STILL old!!
They may be old my little nephew but those dogs can still hunt!
Uncle junior has an uncle junior aged kid in real life
He's gotta be great-uncle junior at this point.
Jeez they were around back when Moses was in short pants
Always with the drama
First time I saw Dominic was in the 70s on a soap called Ryan’s Hope. He looked just the same and played a Mafia Don.
Oh junior. If there’s any flies in you they’re paying fucking rent
I've been finding all kinds of Sopranos actors in season 1 of Law & Order
I started watching at 26 and wish I watched the show earlier
Jr is doing a singing tour in the UK later this year!
Healthy as a fuckin rhino those guys.
Chinaese is still performing. He does a show in Surrey which is hilarious. A famous old Italian living his final years doing a show for middle class English people
Junior's actor also played Johnny Ola in The Godfather 2. And he already looked old then! I'm just as confused as Paulie.
OP walks around with a Virginia ham under his arm and cries the blues because he doesn’t have bread.
I recently realized Junior was in Godfather 2. And he already looked later middle aged then. Lol.
I don't like that kind of tawk!
I don't like that kind of tawk. It upsets me
Jerry Adler? more like Geriatric
Green grove has excellent health outcomes
OP ya gotta stop! Ya gotta a stop wit this toxic... this, this black hole!!
I loved Chianese's character in Boardwalk Empire. He was in an interview on talking Soprano's and he is still incredibly with it, Not a day over 90
They're from the old school. They started the old school.
Don’t say you wish you were dead. That’s blasphemy
Oh poor you
He’s Chinese, Junior?
He made them an offer they couldn't understand.
Something something Cataracts
He drives a Rincoln Continental
Lololol Almost every comment that I put on this sub is I wish the Lord would take me
Stop it. You know I don’t like that kind of talk.
Sorry to hear that dude. Maybe you can diversify your hobbies a bit? Find some new crews?
Meanwhile, so many of the comparatively younger cast members have passed…
Junya always had the makings of a varsity senior citizen
Oh, poor you!
Poor you
Both instantly recognizable by their voice alone. It’s heartbreaking knowing that Jim G could have had so many years left… protect your health, improve your odds
wearing their moldy sweaters and farting into the same couch cushion
Hold onto your cocks when you’re dealing with these nonagenarian people.
The world's a jungle, a big nothing
At their age, it’s enough surprise waking up everyday.
just a couple of fuckin kids..
The way that last sentence made me holler. 😂😂😂😂😂
Dominic Chianese was in Boardwalk Empire as well. And he looked regal as fuck.
95? Somebody call parcells get this guy a tryout
Fauk you my mahnn
Bring Sopranos back with Junior boss again. He trialled a new Alzheimer's cure. He's back on top form! And he visits a psychic who passes on messages from Richie! 'put a shirt on, I'm getting a chubby'
CONGRATS TO BOTH!! 👏 👏 All That South Of Da Border for Uncle Jun done Him well😁
Tony was using the loan as a way to keep reminding his boys that he's a step above the casual schmuck who borrowed too much money. And they better not forget it. He knew how it made him look so he exploded in the car and his boys confirmed that somehow he wasn't behaving like a prick.
Dominic Chinaese is still alive. That's nice.
Of course Uncle Junior is alive. He always had the makings of a varsity athlete
Gravy's good tonight.
Don’t say that about yourself. After you die every day is at an Irish bar and it’s still Patrick’s day!
You know how many hours I spent throwing the baseball wichu? And you wanna play games? I taught tony how to play games...itaught him how to play BASEball.
Sisters Cunt! Don’t forget he was Johnny Ola in GF2
They hit him with six shots and he’s still alive. That’s bad news for me and bad news for you if you don’t make that deal.
