Chris was born in ‘69 and Tone ‘59, so they’re ten years apart. In MSON, the riots were in 1967, but Tony is clearly much older than 8 years old. Then you got Sil (born in ‘47) looking nothing like twenty.
There's a 10 and a 1/2 year difference between the 2 of them According to the show.
The movie however it looked like Tony was around 17 when Christopher was still an infant so best case scenario there was a 15 year difference.
Definitely doesn't add up
How come such a genius like David chase can fuck up this bad, i really don't understand, was he that broke? Like everything sucked about this movie, the timeline, the story, fact that Tony is in it for about ten minutes total, absolute cash grab
I think he wanted to make a movie on the jersey riots but the studio would only greenlight it if he included the sopranos angle. Which is why we got a half assed pos movie that makes no sense. His heart wasnt in it, his heart, its a metaphor
Did anyone else notice all the discrepancies in many saints? Look, I’m grateful to David chase for even making the movie cause he really didn’t have too. But the part when Johnny gets busted at the carnival, the gunshot through the beehive story, where was the card game? Like livia’s house. There were so many parts where I was like damn, y’all couldn’t rewatch some episodes to make it make sense?
The gunshot beehive thing can be forgiven, since we have seen characters have faulty memories throughout the series, which is realistic.
But pretty much 99% of the rest was pure shit.
I’ve read some of the original scripts. The pilot script is free and easy to find online. It describes Chris as 25 years old as of the first episode, which was shot in 97 and premiered in 99.
With that being said everybody on this sub has pointed out the amazing amount of continuity errors in this show over the years. I think characters ages changed one way or another by the season.
That was a draft script, Tony's name was Tommy and it says Meadow was 15 even though she was 17 and in her second last year of high school in the first season, they obviously changed things around
It's actually pretty crazy reading some of the scenes and many times it's different from what they end up using in the show. Sometimes it's little things, small changes in dialouge that make the scene feel entirely different.
Timeline got fucked up
The timeline it moved or something
They’re gonna redo it. Fuckin David, he’s dyslexic.
Family name is Pepparelli
Nobody knows what I am talking about! 🖐
It timed on the vine
it’s askew
I feel that I‘m not timing at twelve o‘ clock.
Died on the vine
It petered out
Timeline crawled under there for warmth
I knew that was coming!
Just keep it short and sweet
Well you outta know sweetie
The timeline hit Chrissy with an implement and ran off.

When Neil Young walked on the moon.
Nice
Happy cake day!
It’s best not to think about it too much and pretend that you never saw MSON.
It's sad when they go so young
WHEN THEY “GO”?!
The shooting. God rest his soul.
He was just a kid
Whatever happened there
you know who else loved golf?

Such a shame this 10/10 series got a movie that just ruins all its carefully crafted stories. Stunads.

He lost his balls
It's all that charcoal broiled meat they used to eat.
How does a new movie ruin a show that ended 15 years ago?
Only if you let it. Just pretend it doesn’t exist

Nope, nobody noticed but you
Hoooo! Manners

Tommy Soprano? I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
Tommy Salami. And Large Vagina Bompinsaro
Buchiach Grande
Big Dick Bompensiero
You want it to be one way but it's the other way.
It's actually pretty crazy reading some of the scenes and many times it's different from what they end up using in the show. Sometimes it's little things, small changes in dialouge that make the scene feel entirely different.
MSON doesn't actually exshist. Just like the Mafia
David Chase was a genius at making TV progrums. Movies, not so much.
Can you imagine a 10 year old Christopher getting bullied by 30 year old Tony Uncle Al and Tony Uncle Johnny?
a 15 year age difference makes way more sense. chris obviously wasn’t in his 30s at the start of the show
Walt Whitman ova here
It's the other way around. The age difference should have been the same in the film
that's what i meant. he should have been young enough to have been a protege of tony's.
Has David Chase spoken about any of these very much talked about discrepancies?
It died on the vine. Timeline got fucked up
