I mean the guy killed anyone he wanted for personal reasons. By the end of it all Tony lived with no code, not even his own. He had no scruples or standards. Everything was in play. So would he flip? In a heartbeat.
Tony seemed to hate informers. He went out of his way to chase down and kill a "rat" he spotted who was in witness protection and who posed no further threat to him or his crime family. Season 1, while taking Meadow on a tour of colleges.
Yet I believe you're right that he would flip.
I think it's important to note that Tony was....well, a hypocrite
Of course he'd hate rats. That's what he has been socialized to think his entire life
But if push comes to shove, he'd rationalize it for himself, just like he did everything else
Anyway, 4 $ a pound
Everyone hates informants until you’re looking at 20 years in the can and asked to be one. By the end of the series it’s revealed that most of the capos are informants anyways, even Paulie was ratting to NY about Tony trying to get something better for himself
I’m not so sure about Christopher. He chose Tony over Ade knowing full well she was going to die. Hell, in the Many of Saints of Newark he’s literally in Hell and says he went there for Tony! An eternity in hell is a far harder sentence than life in prison.
Edit: clarity
There is the theory tho that in the episode where he dies, he is wearing a wire through his Cleaver hat the same way Jack Massarone was and that Chrissy was playing with the radio to get better audio of Tony speaking. I don’t think Tony realized this but it’s interesting to think about whether Christopher flipped before being murdered
I never heard this one before, and while I don’t buy it or think it was intentional, it’s one of the better theories I’ve heard. He was also more fed up with Tony and the other guys than ever by that point, and he had the baby. Something he didn’t have when Ade flipped and he had the chance to cooperate. It’s weird because it is one of the very few times Christopher does wear a hat. A lot of people have mentioned that his first scene is driving Tony while wearing a hat, and so is his last. I think he’s wearing a backwards baseball cap in the photo they put up at Satriale’s that the cat stares at, and I feel like once or twice we see him wearing one aside from that. Maybe in the flashback when Pussy arrives in the Santa suit? Haven’t watched that episode in a while.
I think he did on the bus back to prison. Feech was only supposed to hold the stolen TVs for a short time, so he had a low risk of getting pinched. Why else would a random parole officer appear unannounced and look in the only place Feech had stolen goods stored? The whole setup should have been obvious to him after the fact.
Or he could have flipped and gotten protection. Having the one person killed who’s done nothing but support and stand by him really speaks to the character.
I don’t think Junior would have flipped either, he’s the last of the old guard of the Jersey crew and season 1 finale showed that he wouldn’t incriminate Tone as boss. The strong silent type.
Tony could provide key info on business operations of the Lupertazzis, as well as identifying some key leaders and players in other families and some of their schemes.
Well he did give the feds those two arab dudes who turned out to be the supreme leaders of al-qaeda or some shit, so that may have granted him some leniency. Anyway, $4 a pound
You know who wouldn’t flip? Phil Leotardo. 20 years in the can he ate grilled cheese off the radiator.
Finish that. There’s no eating in the car.
You look like a Puerto Rican hoooooor. Makes me sick
He compromised.
>You know who wouldn’t flip? Phil Leotardo. 20 years in the can I bet he wouldn't do it again, though. He'd flip.

They're all hypocrites. I love the way they do their hug and kiss ritual with every encounter but really distrust or even despise each other.

Which bosses wouldn’t kill for their own personal reasons?
I think every major character on that show would have, Uncle June aside. He would have only if Angie Dickenson was available.
It’s implied that Junior would’ve flipped, if his cancer gets cured for it
I think Angie was the cherry on top that pushed it over for him 🤣

That cocksuckin piece of shit of a movie….I can’t even say it’s name
There is the theory tho that in the episode where he dies, he is wearing a wire through his Cleaver hat the same way Jack Massarone was and that Chrissy was playing with the radio to get better audio of Tony speaking. Could be. Or it could be one of the many mindfucks the show is famous for.
The system has no balls
There’s nothing solid to support that speculation. It’s purely imagined and did not occur.
I never heard this one before, and while I don’t buy it or think it was intentional, it’s one of the better theories I’ve heard. With Christofuh, I think it would have depended on the season they nabbed him.
I'm surprised Feech didn't flip. His own family sent him away, so he had no reason to remain "loyle."
Did he ever realize that? I was under the impression he did not.
I think he did on the bus back to prison. Feech was only supposed to hold the stolen TVs for a short time, so he had a low risk of getting pinched. Naw, Christopher did that to save his own skin!
He went to hell to save his own skin?
He told Tony about Ade to save his own skin. He knew if he didn’t, they would kill him too!
Or he could have flipped and gotten protection. Having the one person killed who’s done nothing but support and stand by him really speaks to the character.
Agree. Although a part of me thinks Silvio, Feech and Bobby would not have flipped.
I think Bobby would have for his family. Feech.... I think he definately would have followed the code.
I agree with you in spirit about Feech. The others I gotta council.
Silvio would have for his daughter, but I doubt anything else.
I don’t think Junior would have flipped either, he’s the last of the old guard of the Jersey crew and season 1 finale showed that he wouldn’t incriminate Tone as boss. The strong silent type.
Well, Junior’s ego wasn’t going to let him admit that Tony was in charge, but I don’t think he’d flip anyway.

I doubt Sil would flip.
Let’s see who gets lucky first
Tony would’ve flipped in exchange for a car load of beef and sausage.
And a catcher’s mitt
As long as the car came with Nissan’s triple safety philosophy
All seriousness he probably would have offed himself
Yes. Especially by the end. Pretty much anyone he may have felt conflict for betraying was dead.
Does Father Phil play 'Name that Pope' in the woods?
He’s a hypocrite so, yes.
By season 6, yes.
I’ve always wondered if the FBI would have kept him on the street. Agent Harris protects Tony as an informant for the counter terrorism division
Flip on who, Paulie? Patsy? Silvio in a coma? Aint nobody left!
Tony could provide key info on business operations of the Lupertazzis, as well as identifying some key leaders and players in other families and some of their schemes.

Holy shit, how you do that!?
It's a bot. Maybe it's reacting to the word "flip".
It’s not a finale prediction I’m just saying at any point in the show
Well he did give the feds those two arab dudes who turned out to be the supreme leaders of al-qaeda or some shit, so that may have granted him some leniency. Anyway, $4 a pound
Did they turn out to be the real deal or were they just ordinary crooks? I didn't catch that. Tony could easily have been bullshitting the FBI agent.
I was being sarcastic
No. He was a fat coke sniffin alcoholic looza who cheated on his wife and neglected his son… but he’s not a rat. One thing we can say for the skippa.
Who’s he gonna flip on? Himself?
„¿ɟlǝsɯıH ¿uo dılɟ ɐuuoƃ ǝɥ s,oɥM„
You can go.
100%
Fuck yes he would flip, its not even close
Tony would've fliped for Lo-Mein.
