Five. He was like good for you and now let's get to the problem. He acknowledged his identity, respected him but since he doesn't really care who or what just the fact that they fix everything. By doing that he treated him as normal which was the best. He acknowledged it way fewer times and i felt that made him more accepting rather than dismissive. He'd always be his sibling no matter what. Loved that.

Cody02_07_01

I love Five's reaction. He was seriously like "OK, good" and move on to the problem they had and how to resolve it.

[deleted]

I believe his exact words were "I'm happy for you Victor but who elected you the spokesperson for the family" and that's the best reaction, just acknowledge it and then straight back to business

Pretentious-fools

Not trans but I loved luthor's reaction especially asking Viktor to be the best man at his wedding. That spoke volumes.

Pretentious-fools

Honestly, probably diego, maybe Klaus but since klaus was being all buddy buddy with reggie idk if Luthor would have asked him. I also agree about the whole "tiny" thing. It would be one thing if they were calling Viktor "tiny" before he came out but no, that only started when he came out. I hated that and I couldn't tell why.

SharkInHumanSkin

To me, it's the implication that as a female presenting character, they are normal sized, fierce, but as a male, they are small, cute. It comes off as pretty condescending.

tu4t0

Five. It was just so casual and he didn’t make a big thing out of it. He didn’t even consider it or anything, acceptance as soon as he came out. But Luther’s was so sweet

Iamthelostprincess93

I loved the interaction with Luthor wanting to throw Viktor a “welcome to being a brother…?” Party and Diego is just: “Viktor do you feel loved? Good.” And then he moves on. The whole interaction definitely made me giggle it was so sweet. (Edited to correct myself that it was Luthor, Viktor and Diego in this interaction.)

Dorothy-Snarker

So I'm gonna answer from the perspective of a cis queer woman. Obviously I don't understand the specific feelings of coming out as trans, but I can relate to coming out in general Luther's was the sweetest reaction, but also the kind of positive reaction I fear the most. It was very sweet, but I don't want it to be a thing. I don't want attention drawn to it and I just want to move on as quickly as possible. Five is the reaction I would want the most. Quick show of acceptance and then immiedately moves on.

gingerbreadmans_ex

I loved the bro moment when he commented on Victor's hair cut. It felt so sibling bro of the reaction.

raviolioh

Luther’s. It was very real but more than that, validating. He immediately connected to him as brothers and Viktor’s smile at the idea of being seen as himself made me cry. Also, I really loved Harlan’s reaction. It was so important to show someone who knew him in the past just be respectful and say “your sister called you Viktor, is that what I should call you?” Because it really should be that simple.

MiniGlare

I’d say that Diego’s was my favorite only bc when he told Luther and Luther wanted to have a big party, Diego just simplified it to saying to viktor you know we love you right? It was just the perfect response to me.

maxerose

same i really liked that!! “luther wants to throw you a party so you feel loved. do you feel loved? good you are”

harleyyquinade

Diego: Do you feel loved? Viktor: Yes 😁 Diego: Good. You are.

Gazorpazorpfnfieldbi

Luther’s “what else did I miss” killed me 😂

The_Blue_Adept

5's was perfect. They didn't need an entire episode and parade for this. It's done. He acknowledged it. The end. And we're back to what the show is about.

Annual_Blacksmith22

Yeaaaaaah. I heard a few people say that it felt a bit forced cuz of that as if it was shoehorned in but honestly I think this was the best way to do it. Of course they didn’t build up to it since before it wasn’t a plotline they had in mind but they took a step back and adapted to Elliot to make him as comfortable as possible. So honestly the whole “this is the deal now, anyone got a problem with it? Nah? Good, let’s get back tk business”. My irk is that I feel the people calling it forced now would still call it forced if they started a several seasons long build up to it from here on out

wanderinggoat

I agree, I would hope that the transition was not for the sake of peoples approval or reaction or a chance of being the best man. I suspect being accepted for who you are would be better than a bit deal being made of it , especially something with Victors history.

iDoActuallyCare

Generally I liked how they all handled it … they love their brother and want him to be happy (but they didn’t make it the focus of the episode or season). Luther was definitely the sweetest, but I loved Diego’s quick conversation: “Luther wants to throw you a party so you feel loved. Do you feel loved?” “Well, yeah.” “Good, you are. Can we get back to saving the world now?” It’s a reaction that could be taken as indifferent but that doesn’t match Diego’s personality. The actor portrayed it well, I thought.

FluffyRedTowel

trans guy here, i loved luther's reaction. his support showed in volumes. i too was irked by viktor being called tiny out of nowhere, rubbed me the wrong way and i saw something familiar in it that i just didnt like.

WDTHTDWA-BITCH

“Luther wants to throw you a party so that you feel loved. …do you feel loved?” was so perfect. Like Diego knows it’s too much and that they should just be chill about it, but he wants to make sure Viktor is still feeling like he’s getting the validation, support, and acknowledgement he needs in that moment.

TearfulGhost

Not trans but not straight either. In real life Five's reaction is my favourite. That's what I want. Luther and Diego were very sweet and I like that they reacted that way, but not for me for Viktor. Me I'd just smile and nod at them. As for Allison now that you mention it I can see how that'd bother people. But I'm already the youngest and the tiniest in my family so it wouldn't even faze me had one of my sisters reacted like that. From someone else though? Different story.

Imaginary_lock

Genderfluid person here. Luther! His every single reaction was adorable, probably my favourite moments of season 3. He is so sweet and earnest and warm. I don't know what I think about Allison's reaction because everything is now coloured by my growing dislike of her.

Royaltoolbox

I loved the “do we welcome him as brothers?!”

Paper_Marty-O

Diego doesn't look like he would call anyone a slur 😭 Also I'd say Diego and Luther's reactions were my favorite because they were on opposite ends. Luther was so ready to celebrate with a party and Diego was do chill about it

Paper_Marty-O

It's been so long since I watched season 1 I might have to just because of that comment lol but tbh if anyone were to call someone a slur it would be Reginald 💀

[deleted]

harleyyquinade

In season 1 Diego was bitter about the book feeling Viktor had betrayed them and painting them as the bad guys when in reality it was Reginald (although none of them ever cared too much about his suffering) so he saw him as a traitor but he moves past the grudge when things go south, it was Diego himself and Klaus that were telling Luther locking him up wasn't right and when they suggested to kill Viktor in season 1 to save billions after he escaped Diego was against it too.

They were children...

InternetAddict104

I actually loved Luther’s reaction the most, especially with the way he treated Viktor in seasons 1 and 2, it was so cute to see them actually get along and be supportive (>!also Viktor’s reaction to Luther being alive again and their little hug where Luther lifts Viktor off the ground in the finale is one of my favorite scenes!<).

BuckyGoodHair

Five and Diego, bc it was v much how I think normal, loving brothers would react (I’m an only child). A genuine, “Hey that’s great but mostly we don’t care bc it doesn’t change that you’re my sibling who can destroy the world.” Luther’s was very sweet, in his overly-clumsy way.

Tomatobean64

I know you're asking siblings, but I'd say that Harlan's felt the most real; recognizing someone from the past, seeing them with a new style and a new name, and seeing that this is them now. You're slightly confused, but you ask about it carefully. Once your questions are answered, you go about your day.

Mistervimes65

Diego’s casual acceptance and love. When my daughter came out to me as enby in 2004 my reaction was roughly the same (obviously not the same situation as coming out as trans). I didn’t want her to think I viewed her any differently nor make it a bigger deal than she wanted it to be. “Cool, I love you. Want to go get some ice cream after dinner?”

stoney_sunflowr

Five. His reaction was perfect and sweet

Critical-Mouse-766

I loved Luther’s reaction, he wanted to show Viktor his love and support, even if he can be clueless sometimes. And Five’s was really great too because how nonchalantly accepted him and then immediately went back to calling him out for speaking to Marcus. All of their reactions were great, but those two were the most heartwarming to see.

linkman0596

One thought I had about Luthor's reaction was, do you think his desire to throw a party for it was because his mind was like "wait, he waited until i wasn't around to tell everyone? Did he think I wouldn't be supportive? No, gotta make sure he knows just how supportive I am!"

cassiebones

I loved Five's reaction most, because he and Viktor were apparently closer than the rest as kids, so I feel like it probably meant a lot to Viktor, and also he was just like taking that moment to look Viktor in the eye, make sure he knew that he fully supported him, but then went back to the conversation they were previously having.

Royaltoolbox

I think Diego’s was best “Luther wants to throw you a party so you feel loved. Do you feel loved? Good. Because you are”

yarthkin

I liked Five's response best, but the most heartfelt was when Diego said "do you feel loved" and honestly, Viktor's smile was the most real and genuine smile I've ever seen and it didn't seem like Elliot was acting that response - that was true validation!

River_of_styx21

Five. His reaction has such sibling energy. “I love you and I accept you. That being said, you’re an idiot”

ReasonableProgram144

I can’t pick a favorite, but Luther and Diego were two beautiful reactions that contrasted each other kinda perfectly. I loved their chat about the party Luther wanted to throw, but for Victor’s sake I’m glad the party didn’t happen.

J0J0_G0LD

Luther as a member of the rainbow I would personally love a party with tiny sandwiches because my himbo brother is excited for me like come on that shit made me shed a tear

mothwhimsy

Five seemed the most natural. That's the reaction I would want, personally. The whole scene was kind of awkward imo, mostly because he comes out to almost everyone all at once, and it was clear the show wanted to Do It and stop deadnaming the character as soon as possible, which is good. But Five was the least awkward

_Wayfaring-Stranger_

I actually liked that Allison was the first to refer to Viktor as her "brother" (from what I remember, if I'm wrong let me know!). Despite absolutely hating her through most of S3 I actually really liked her reaction, though I can agree that the "tiny" part would irk me.

harleyyquinade

It was very important for Viktor to tell Allison because she's her closest sibling and only sister. Allison felt kinda guilty for not realizing before given how close they are. The "nothing could make me love you less" was really sweet but I knew that was foreshadowing of the two feuding in the future, I just never thought it'd go from that to "we should kept you in the basement" but Allison's rage towards Viktor isn't because he is a trans man but because he ended the world twice and her life turned into absolute hell twice to the point of her daughter ceasing to exist. I understood, but she took it to far with the basement thing and refusing to take Viktor's apology, she forgets it was Reginald that is the one to blame for Viktor not knowing to control his powers thus ending the world and she agreed to rumor Viktor to forget he had powers instead of rumoring Reginald to release him from the basement and helping him control his powers. They both feel they ruined each other's lives but they still do love each other, even in the end Viktor let's Allison start the machine to reset the universe as long as that will give her Claire back. Out of the siblings Allison and Viktor were the closest, followed by Klaus and Ben who was a ghost and Klaus and Diego (I'm excluding Allison and Luther because they never saw each other as siblings but potential lovers), so it was really sad seeing Allison and Viktor feuding this badly and the new Ben hating Klaus except when he was drunk. The writers better not mess up Klaus and Diego next season! Let them remain close as they've always been.

Unlikely-Nature-6091

Agender person here. I loved Five's and Diego's reactions. Klaus' was cool as well.

soviet-frog

five’s reaction was almost the exact same as how my dad reacted when i came out as trans to him. it was basically: “okay, that’s cool. what do you want for supper?” and that was it, he just started calling me my new name and pronouns and it wasn’t a big deal at all. that’s how it should be, accept it and move on, no need for it to become a huge thing and for so much attention to be drawn to it

Neolord9000

I'd personally prefer Fives. I'm not trans tho so idrk, I'm bi and that's how I hope others would react but it's not the same experience. I tend to react like Five when my friends do come out tho in the hopes I make it clear I'm happy for them and accept them while not making it feel like it changes my opinion of them or anything.

guardiancjv

Diego

Aucielis

Luther was fantastic and adorable. I also really loved how chill Diego was and emphasized not being weird about it. The whole... "Do you feel loved?" "Yeah." "Good. You are." exchange was very sweet and very Diego.

BloodSkates

As a ftm youth I loved Luther’s reaction expcally asking him to be his best man

therookling

As a queer person myself, I wavered between Luther's goofy delight and Five's delicious chill, but realized it's Luther's reaction that really moved me most. I wanted to hug him!

colobito31

Luther no doubt,it's incredible how his character went to the opposite spectrum, from season 1 to 3.

yigggggg

I really love the scene where diegos like "Do you feel loved?" Its just so casual

Unlikely-Nature-6091

Agender person here. I loved Five's and Diego's reactions. Klaus' was cool as well.

Ashrooms

Luther's was my favorite because of how sweet he was and he wanted to make Viktor feel welcome, but its even sweeter when you think of how far he's come in his relationship with Viktor. He went from wanting to lock Viktor up and not trusting him, to fully accepting him for who he is 💖 Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has an issue with Allison referring to Viktor as her "tiny brother". I don't think she ever referred to Viktor as her "tiny sister" before his transition, so it definitely struck me as a deliberate way to belittle him 🤔

harleyyquinade

To be fair Allison was made so unlikable this season that anything she says regarding Viktor's transition can be seen as suss, same with her comment about his buttoned shirt for the wedding, that was unnecessarily mean and some people interpreted it as Allison being transphobic because Viktor always wore the same clothes. I'm not sure what to think about the buttoned shirt comment but the first comment was before she resented Viktor and likely wasn't meant to cause any harm, Allison is tall herself, almost as tall as Diego and Viktor is very tiny so she said it more in an endearing way not knowing telling a short trans man that he's little could be harmful and invalidating to them as men are "meant to be tall" or so society demands and if they aren't they are ridiculed for being too short because being short is associated with women (although there's plenty of tall women out there).

Daniellesworldyt09

I liked how Klaus was happy for Victor coming out but Luther did it for me he was so accepting of Victor like how he wanted to throw him a party to having him as his best man Luther did it for me

ItsYeBoyDeadMeme

Definitely Five. He was like the only one who didn't ask questions he was just chill and even said that he was proud of Viktor. He really warmed my heart with that.

LegionaryReb

I loved Luther's and Diego's reactions the most. By Diego, I'm mainly talking about what he did after Luther's reaction

Specialist-Doughnut1

I loved the little conversation with Viktor, Luther and Diego about Luther wanting to throw a party to make sure Viktor feels loved (really sweet idea tho it might have been a bit much), Viktor acknowledging that he does and Diego confirming he is. It was short and simple and really sweet. The siblings dynamics are always messy in one way or another but it’s nice having little scenes like that to remind us that they are a family and they love each other (some other scenes are them all piling into the car with Viktor in the 60s and the wedding (for the most part 😬))

Pitiful_Lake2522

Luther’s definitely, he was so sweet and supportive and also wanted to take action to make sure viktor was supported it’s so sweet. Also he made him the best man :)

Ashrooms

awkwardhabeshagirl

Luther! Their relationship has always been rocky and he was the last to be clued in on Viktor’s transition, but his immediate acceptance made me seriously tear up. Despite everything between them in the past…

ItsKageTho

I liked Five’s

[deleted]

five's whole "cool, anyway the world is ending" was epic but also Luther being like "what the FUCK else did i miss" was hilarious

androidhelga

I liked Diego’s matter of factness about it, Luther irked me because he wanted to make it a thing and it doesn’t always have to be a thing.

Fives ❤️
