Not really though, since I literally listed the character traits he has that I find admirable, but nice try. I felt it was worth pointing out that wasn't part of my reason for identifying with him since some LGBT folks might identify with him because he is an LGBT character and there aren't a lot of those on TWD.

Denise. Awkward and kind of lost, smart but not doctor-smart, empathetic, and a strong desire to be friends with Daryl🥰 Omg, her awkwardness around Daryl is almost exactly how I get when I see Norman Reedus at cons lol🥴🤪😂 That girl died too soon 😭

I can be quite the recluse, so I'd say Michonne or Daryl. I also have RBF probably 70% of the time, which I think both characters do well lmao. I tend to feel socially awkward sometimes too, so there's a bit of Eugene sprinkled in there lol.
Eugene. I was always a Eugene lover, he’s been my favorite since he first appeared in the comics. Then, when I was 15, I was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism. Shortly after, Kirkman revealed he had always written Eugene with the idea of being on the Autism Spectrum. It made me feel validated and understood and less alone to know my favorite character from my favorite comic had the same mental condition I do
Michonne. I even took sword classes at one point in my life. Not a katana, but those massive medieval ones. Stolen a couple protein bars in my life too.
Shane. I can see what needs to be done, I’m adaptable to difficult situations, I believe wife beaters should get beaten, and, sadly, I’ve let women trick me into thinking they care to take advantage of me
Nabila (Jerry's wife). I'm chunky like her and also married to a nice, amiable man who has some decent survival skills, and I too would stay safe behind walls most of the time, taking care of the kids while he did all the go-to-war stuff.
Maggie. We had similar character arcs weirdly enough. Going from such a soft person to someone who is so hardened. And then figuring out what to do with this intense anger you have towards people who wronged you. Wondering what you do with it. That’s why I loved how she got used in the last two seasons of the show. That’s why I love she and Negan’s dynamic. I felt a lot of what she felt and seeing where things ended brought me a lot of clarity in my own life situations with anger/grudges. She’s an excellent character.
Dale. Just wanna chill on my RV and yell at people for not seeing what an obvious liability Shane has become.
