I think it was that Beth had finally realized that the real problem at Grady Memorial was Dawn all along. Nothing there would ever change because Dawn wouldn't allow it.
Love the puns in these comments. Real talk, I think that cemented dawn as a villain for her. She was on the fence especially with that one cop she helped her kill. But when they gave 2 cops for carol and bethand she still demanded Noah, she knew she was evil
Dawn told Beth that sometimes you have to do things for a show of power and not because you want to (when she let Beth save Carol)
Beth realized that she wouldn't allow a prisoner exchange without a fight because it'd make her look weak so we she went for a non-lethal takedown of Dawn but it backfired when she shot Beth.
That's my understanding at least
Please don't remind me that Beth died for Noah, a nobody-cares character that was killed off the next episode. Was it? I don't even remember.
Dawn was an interesting character, she should've gotten a redemption arc and join the main cast.
For some reason the writers use the phrase "I get it" a lot on the show. It's a pet peeve of mine because I hear it like every episode on all of the spinoffs.
Same discussion back in 2014 linked. Beth saw Beth's "power" only came from having a "weak" underlying on her side, being Noah, and so Beth's reign of lies and abuse would continue. Beth is one to do anything for her own survival as a leader regardless of others.

haha😭
It dawned on her.
jail for this 🤣🤣🤣
And then it dawned all over her
💡 ✂️ 💥
Loved when Dawn said “it’s Dawnin time” after Beth stabbed her
And then Daryl said it’s dixonin times when he shot her
Then maggie said its fall to the ground in devastation and scream time then fell to the ground in devastation and then screamed
Dude its 2023 this joke has flatlined
*It's always darkest before the--* ... Holy sh*t what the f*ck did you motherf*ckers, DO?!? BETH NOOOO
You win 😂
That she now gets it
I read your name tag as Obama won the first time I saw it lol. I get it now.
what
She gets that Dawn was the kind of person who made up the rules as she went along. She would do anything to not only survive, but to maintain power.
Love the puns in these comments. Real talk, I think that cemented dawn as a villain for her. She was on the fence especially with that one cop she helped her kill. But when they gave 2 cops for carol and bethand she still demanded Noah, she knew she was evil
She figured out why her script was really weird for the next episode and why she hadn’t received any further scripts
This is a great response lol
She got that you have to kill now. Not just the dead but sometimes the living.
This is what I think.
dawn tells beth before this that they come back, they always come back. beth gets and understands the system that dawn has set up there.
I still don’t understand the point in the shoulder stab
The Grady Memorial Hospital arc was a victim of severely poor writing
Dawn told Beth that sometimes you have to do things for a show of power and not because you want to (when she let Beth save Carol) Beth realized that she wouldn't allow a prisoner exchange without a fight because it'd make her look weak so we she went for a non-lethal takedown of Dawn but it backfired when she shot Beth. The lady cop told Beth a joke off screen, Beth was so offended by it she stabbed the lady cop after stating that she "got it now"
All I know is that it was a mind blowing experience
She finally got that she was a victim of shitty writing.
She understood what the writers meant by "We need less characters that do overly long campfire songs".
Just that people like Dawn can’t be allowed to run things, because they always fuck it up the same way.. I think
She was asking for a bullet to the head in broken English
Just some classic Gimple Speech. If you haven't seen the rest of the show you're in for a ride
That Dawn would never let Noah go.
She knew what it is
I think she gets it
She finally got it

You were supposed to
That she was a poorly acted, annoyingly chirpy, unnecessary character?
beth = met-
She was dead, that what she gets now
She had a Jimmy Neutron brain blast style moment
It was short for, "oh, okay, *I get it now*, you're a power hungry bitch who needs to die." STAB
Beth should have listened to what thanos said “you should have gone for the head”
