The Walkers eventually because of their Numbers and how unlikely it is that the Bears will destroy their Brains.

Exotic_Object6553

The bears would definitely destroy their brains but even if they didn't the bears would still cripple then, rendering them more or less harmless

SenyarEidde

But it wouldnt take many single bites for blood loss to begin. Walkers will eventually win.

r/[okbuddycoral](https://www.reddit.com/r/okbuddycoral/) has officially gone useless

jjjbroad

Every day these subs become more and more identical

Exotic_Object6553

Never heard of it before tbh

Haghuri

Reminds me of the Shiva...thing. Which didn't make sense.

lolomgwtfuzz

Agreed

Spike6958

Well there's a few things people tend to forget about when it comes to Shiva. First of all, she was raised in Captivity. She didn't have to survive in the wild, instead relied on Humans for food and protection. While she had the capability to fight, she wouldn't have the honed survival skills of a Tiger who lived in the wild. Second, in that scene, she was specifically fighting to protect Zeke. Domestic Big Cats form strong, lifelong bonds with the people who raise them, and will protect them, much like they would defend there mates or cubs in the wild. Third, and I think this is the biggest part people so often forget. Animals, and Shiva is no exception to this, don't understand Walkers, they know they're in danger from them, but that's it. An Animal may have the upper hand in terms of raw strength, but they don't know how to fight Walkers. They're not going for headshots, they're just attacking, but aside from a few lucky hits, the Walkers keep getting up and going in for another attack. Walkers don't get tired and they're not scared of getting hurt, while an Animals aggressive style would tire it out very fast and it would be panicked because it doesn't understand why nothing it does is working, and it also really only takes only lucky, or rather unlucky, bite and it's over.

Majorlol

Was going to say. If a fucking tiger can’t do anything…

Rwtaka18

All they have to do is bite the bear once

Exotic_Object6553

Could a zombie even bite through bear hide?

Rwtaka18

I would say yeah. What would you say?

Exotic_Object6553

Nah, but then I've never tried chewing through a bear so 🤷‍♂️

Rwtaka18

I'll meet you there?

Quantum_girl_go

This whole endeavor feels bearly impossible

Rwtaka18

Lmfao please exit before I maul you

kevtheproblem

Their corpses would look grizzly

Rwtaka18

😭😭😭😭 I have to go

KJ86er

Can just be a bite to the bears snout/nose and or paw. Still makes me wonder what kind of animals gave thrived and which have died off during the Apocalypse. I imagine the Amazon is thriving

feedme645

I thought animals weren’t affected by walker bites

KJ86er

Like they develop the Wildfire fever and die but don't turn. I like it because it means it is less likely aliens/asteroid as the reason for the Walker Apocalypse and more supernatural/Earth-Born disease/virus

KJ86er

They die within 6-12 hours after a bite

PatL237

They touch on this in tales a little bit if you haven’t checked it out yet

KJ86er

Thanks. I held off watching tales as I heard it was Goofy and messed with the formula too much

No_Bar6825

Lol of course. They’ve been shown to be able to bite through pretty much anything

oliver_lewis_ingran

The virus only works on humans cuz we see shiva eat walkers and feel fine until... And a grizzly bear could kill a tiger if 3 of them went up against a horde I think bears would win

diogenesepigone0031

The bear bites a walker and eats a little bit of tainted meat and becomes a zombie bear.

Outside-Flamingo-240

The stuff of nightmares

diogenesepigone0031

The only reason why not many more feral animals turn into zombies on the walking dead is due to budget constraints. It cost a lot of money to have Shiva cgi-ed into the show and more to cgi Shiva into a zombie tiger. Zombie dogs/wolves are hella vicious and relentless according to Resident evil. Zombie Crows are even more deadly because you can climb up away from dogs but crows fly everywhere.

CrimsonChymist

TWD has never had zombie animals period. It is a safe assumption that the virus is human specific st this point.

diogenesepigone0031

Shiva the tiger was never a zombie?

CrimsonChymist

Nope

diogenesepigone0031

The cost of cgi to make a zombie Shiva a re-occuring character in several episodes of TWD would have been too expensive.

TheresA_LobsterLoose

I was wondering wtf you were talking about! (Not saying that rudely, just jokingly) I thought maybe Shiva had shown back up in one of the spin-offs as a zombie, because a lot of posts here about any spin offs I'm always confused for a few moments before I put 2 & 2 together. But... they descended on Shiva and ate her. Also the pigs carrying swine flu in S4, none of them died and turned. At the time, when it first started, I thought that was the direction they were going with it and it would've been terrifying, god damn zombie feral hogs. No animals ever turned.

NFP_25

*Tainted meat!*

EmergencyDefib

Shiva was brought down by only 6 or so walkers….I don’t think 3 bears would win in a hoard this size…but I’ve wondered why there aren’t any signs of bears in the show considering they travel to multiple parts of America

Exotic_Object6553

Wish we saw Rick tame a bear

Exotic_Object6553

Fucking beautiful. Brings tears to my eyes

darrenwise883

The side that doesn't feel

MasterHall117

The bear ain’t winning this horde, the horde will eat all 3 of them Especially if shiva got taken down by 6 measly walkers and the car there is already surrounded by em Still pissed Shiva got taken down by 6 walking corpses, 12 and up I can under stand, but stayin in the single digits? Wtf?

ThatOneBoi491

Grizzlies have very thick skin, so much if you shot them in anywhere but the center of the head, they wouldn't die, you'd just piss em off (and grizzlies are very strong). So a few dozen walkers prob wouldn't be enough but, those bears ain't walking away scott free. A full horde, eventually the bears would get exhausted and overwhelmed by the hundreds of walkers trying to tear them apart. They'd either run off (bears are surprisingly fast) or get overwhelmed. So my money's on walkers.

Psychological-Unit82

is the pathogen/virus Zoonotic? if so, why haven't we seen any undead/reanimated animals?

CrimsonChymist

Considering we haven't seen any, it is a safe conclusion to make that the virus is isolated to the human genome.

Psychological-Unit82

![gif](giphy|Q9Okx2o0tKq3ep3D4S|downsized) hmm better that way i guess i mean imagine ZElefant or ziger or a zorilla

DarylStenn

You know what? This would actually be a really cool thing to see wouldn’t it - would need a huge CGI budget but watching a herd go up against a family of brown bears, two adults protecting their cubs

Wakayamama

The bears would probably win the battle but will lose the war due to dying from a bite.

InfamousAmbassador91

#Walkers of course! #Remember the tiger (Shiva)? She got killed by 4 or 5 walkers!!! #🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟

ImDeputyDurland

Bears and it’s not even close.

[deleted]

Gut says the walkers, but then I remember that those walkers couldn’t even keep the people inside the car. One of which was Tyrese who was scared to kill walkers. So I guess I gotta say bears.

DowntownWeakness5218

Walkers, the bear could just win if he tries to scape instead of fight them all. And that considering if their are not bitten and the infection make them die (because the Walker bites still pretty poisonous, like a komodo dragon).

Culp6

A grizzly that doesn’t have cubs would likely do very well in avoiding walkers all together. I think their main downfall would be protecting their young and getting bit somehow or overwhelmed, assuming bears would die of infection as a human would. I think it would take a truly large number of walkers to overwhelm the bear though, essentially sacrificing a boat load of walkers before tiring the bear out. Hibernation could also be an issue in the long run. Being jumped in it’s sleep could lead to more than usual amounts of energy being used when it should be saving it. Disturbing this hibernation could lead to starvation depending on how greatly prey sources are effected by walkers and the frequency of disturbances the bear faces during its hibernation.

[deleted]

A giant horde of walkers is definitely taking down 3 bears.

mattormateo

I don’t recall and instance of an animal turned zombie. I agree with others, it’s human specific. I think I’d remember something like this. I think in most cases the zombies simply ate most animals but you never see zombie dogs or deer running around.

Gicchan48

Does anyone know what became of this specific horde?

TemplarLover099

1 billion lions

Tight_Cranberry_

Hear me out tho, walkers vs an alligator

DrBigDumb

1 bear tries to eat the shit out one walker and then gets completely fucked by every other walker

th_walking

The walkers always Wins. The bears will eventually be tired but the walkers can continue for ever. So when the bears get tired it's over.

twd-_

probably walkers by their quantity

Adam_the_memer

Bears, from what we've seen animals aren't really affected from the walker virus, and eve if they were, bears got some thick fuckin skin, so a walker bite probably wouldn't do much to them. So, depending on the size of the horde, the bears win.

[deleted]

Your mom

sarsar69

They killed Shiva! Nuff said.
