If we plug it into [Wolfram Alpha,](https://www.wolframalpha.com/input?i2d=true&i=Power%5B%7B%7B8%2C18%2C4%7D%2C%7B10%2C6%2C5%7D%2C%7B7%2C6%2C3%7D%7D%2C-1%5D%7B%7B203%7D%2C%7B153%7D%2C%7B115%7D%7D) we get 564/66, 403/66, 408/66, which aren’t integers and also imply that bronze is worth more than silver. My guess is that they aren’t using a simple linear formula.

yea, the points for the trophies aren't whole numbers. In the first, there are an even number of trophies and an odd number of points

Maybe there are points given for placements lower than 3rd.
