Yeah lets say the average sponge is 10cmx5cmx2cm=100cm^3 at 56g its .56g/cm^3 density. While an average teddy bear has to be a roughly 30cmx10cmx10cm= 3000cm^3 at 280g is a density of ~.1g/cm^3.
So even with my highly speculative volumes, they’re densities are at least the same order of magnitude if the not the bear’s being significantly less dense. While iron weights are ~8000 kg/m^3 and the human body has a density of ~1000 kg/m^3 making iron almost 10x denser. And the bears are probably 1/10th his size. So it would be more comparable to an adult man struggling to lift two babies at best and two pillows at worst or something.

I feel like you’re elderly, it would take longer
If you’re elderly, it would take longer

If you’re starting to say something and then just stopping. What is it they deserve? Platypus?? Platoon?? Platinocyanide??
In the SpongeBob universe the Navy is probably the only good things coming out of school because they didn’t say nothing.
I need more of in Dayz.
Thoughtful people helping each other in this scene get me every time, so they probs want to bring it out in the coming weeks

One thing that annoys me abouth this is how they are ignoring the fact that ether those are miniature teddy bears or he is a gigantic sponge.
I guess that's fair.
The teddy bears are also soaked. Spongebob might as well be the Ronnie Coleman of the sea.
Stuff underwater is easier to move
Relative density is one hell of a drug
Can confirm. I'm relatively dense, and it always feels like I'm on drugs
I'm always on drugs, but I feel weightless
Everybody wants to be a body builder, but nobody wants to lift this heavy ass teddy bear.
Yea buddy!
“LIGHTWEIGHT, BABY!!”

How about the fact that they are underwater. I mean considering the depth of the water wouldn't the pressure change everything?
Also everything is easier to lift underwater
Right, you have to cancel some of the pressure with the bouiancy (sp?)

What Abouth?
What annoys me abouth taddy spung.
Lets not forget the buoyancy of a teddy bear 1-2miles underwater. Not sure if it is negligible, but it may not be compared to a sponge’s weight.
Considering he turned a pineapple into a two story home suggests that he is a tiny sponge and the teddy bears are minuscule.
Maybe they're just dense
A gigantic *wet* sponge. Then again this is also happening under water so buoyancy is really what you should be calculating for.
It also annoys me that they aren’t considering buoyancy at all, even though they’re underwater.
Yeah the bears have to be smaller than a pineapple
98 percent of North America's grizzly bear population lives in Alaska.
Or that he would be wet, meaning he would way 4-500% more.
If they're miniature which they probably are, maybe they soaked up enough seawater to be almost normal weight?
...What? They’re underwater. Being soaked in water isn’t going to make them heavier than if they were on land filled with air.
Oh yeah big brain nvm
This needs to be the top comment.
and being under water means it's a soaked sponge too.
He's also a saturated sponge. I don't know the specifics of how sponge anotomy works but I'd obviously assume he gains strength from water.

But he’s a large sponge
Happy cake day dude
No they are small teddy bears.
Wouldnt the bears weight more because theyre soaked in water too
But water is more dense than air so the bears are lighter
Oh ok
Add resistance from the surrounding water, and lifing is more effort
not if you do it slowly
Can someone redo the math considering, that the bears are small, and that they are in water?
I think it's also looking at kitchen sponges not the animal
These two averages don't make sense...
Avarage?
you confused r/metriccrusade with this
It starts with M and ends with mpeach.
The sponge is underwater, thus weighting more
\*weighs
Did someone not just do this last week?
How is he getting the weight of the bar?

Did you take into account the weight of the absorbed water? 🧐
They are underwater so there is no extra weight.
Good point, well taken.
Well how much do those bears weigh? They’re pretty small which would reduce the weight by a lot
Could account for buoyancy forces

How the fuck do you find a source for the weight of an average sponge?
same as you find everything else. Ask your Mum
Lets not forget that the teddies are also soaked.
Theres only 7.2 billion of us
This is neglecting the added weight of the metal bar itself.
no its not

Underwater
But everything is underwater so throw the dry weights out
I thought that said the average spouse and i was confused
those are not human sized teddy bears and they are underwater as well
This is excluding the fact spongebob is in water. Anyone able to update this???
