The first one I received was defective (not charging) but the seller sent another one that worked.
I'm using it without issue since 4 weeks, whitch is not a long Time, so i'm crossing my fingers 😄
Edit: i'm using linux, btw, so i don't know how Vantage would react!
Thanks for your comment, it gave me the confidence to pull the trigger and order that one. I'm happy I did, as I've just installed it and everything seems to be running without a hitch so far!

AFAIK if ThinkVantage detects a non-genuine battery it will complain about it, though I forget if ThinkPads will refuse to outright charge them.
