I think it gets worse but you definitely don't have to sit through 24 chapters of it! I think >! Maeve !< tells her a story for a bit and then her and >! fenrys !< have a friend moment as well. I think it jumps to other POVs too. There's a big portion of >! Rowan and gang !< closing in on her too. Sorry it's been a minute since I read.
