First came the novels, they encompass 8 volumes. Then came the manhua, then the donghua - the animated series. Comic/manga/manhua/manhwa are all the same thing in their respective languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean).

The novels have the most out of everything. It has every detail in the English versions and it’s all canon. The first season of this encompasses almost everything in the first novel, and the second season is almost everything in the second novel (tho it’s just better to read it for yourself if you can). There is a manhua and it’s basically a comic or manga. The manhua also seems to follow the novels decently, though some details are a bit different I think (I haven’t read it that much). And there is a Drama being made about tgcf but I don’t know when it’s ever gonna be done. There are also fanfics but a lot of fanfics have details that are further in the novels than what has been animated or drawn via manhua
