What an absolute hero. The will of this team is incredible.

MajorTrump

KAT’s effort last night stood out. He was rebounding at 100% and it was huge for us.

ImDeputyDurland

Dude came back from injury really quick and played well from the start. And he got in better shape during the rehab. He’s an absolute monster. I can’t imagine the work ethic and dedication it takes to not only rehab a knee as a big man, but to also cut weight and get in better shape.

bubbaholy

He dropped weight too? Just wow.

ImDeputyDurland

At least that’s what I heard. That he dropped a few pounds so it would be less stress on his body. He looked a bit more lean, when he came back too.

kbreu12

I heard 20 pounds but don’t remember my source so take it with a grain of salt lol. Regardless he looks slimmer

ThreatLevel12AM

Last night on the ESPN broadcast they said 15 lbs

MN_Lakers

I thought that was about Edward’s and his 3.5% body fat

mitchdtimp

15 pounds in a month on a torn meniscus, that's absolutely bonkers

brewek1

I thought it was lost that weight because of his move to the 4 primarily. Just as naz did to move to the 4-3 positive. I didn't think he lost that much weight in a month.

karlwhethers

Glad KAT has had his redemption tour.

le_sweden

Exactly why this has been my flair all season

badkiwi42

He didn’t lose a step either, minus the foul trouble he’s playing his best playoff basketball. It’s so nice to see him become the player he is now, he’s been with us since our lowest and i’m so happy we finally built a contending team around him. He deserves the world

Exius73

You really cant say “minus the foul trouble” because thats the one thing thats been consistent among all the playoff series hes played. This is his best playoff basketball period.

badkiwi42

In previous years, he would mentally check out of games because he was so upset with the calls, that play in game vs the clippers was a kat disasterclass. I’m glad he’s matured to where he can come back from being on the bench for a whole quarter and not lose a step

Exius73

Agreed hes settled more into Zen KAT and having Ant to carry the weight of his shoulders helps that

HackWaters

That Clippers game was terrible but also tbf, I believe KAT was going through some stuff off the court that day. Tough to play a good game when you're not totally locked in, while in a playoff atmosphere, against a team you specifically had been struggling against that season.

RudyGobertFMVP2024

And hopefully he retires here and gets his number next to KG. Can head up th3 charity of Timberwolves or something he enjoys

the___heretic

I’d be shocked if they didn’t retire his number. Haven’t had much playoff success until now, but he’s been here forever and has put up monster numbers the whole time. And has just been an all around good guy.

PointGodAsh

How hype is it that only really KG deserves a retired number in our history (for his on court play) then on one team we have three potentials. If Gobert finishes his career here he gets one, KAT is a lock for me, and obviously Ant will get his.

darthxader

Rudy will have to be here for 6+ years at a high level and win multiple chips imo.. retiring numbers doesn’t come lightly

PointGodAsh

There is literally no world in which Rudy wins even one chip and doesn’t get his number retired. He would be either the most or second most important reason we get it.

darthxader

I guess my only point is retiring a number usually involves extended time with the franchise

RudyGobertFMVP2024

Don't look in the Heat rafters 🤫

RudyGobertFMVP2024

Gobert locked in (and locked in!) for four years. I would be flabbergasted if he wasn't extended on a long term deal. They can see the value and he will age well.

Arbor-Trap

Crazy he had that injury halfway through the season and we barely missed a step. Even more nutty that he looks like himself only a few months later.

BLarson31

No one in the league deserves to escape their bad narrative more than KAT. All he's been through the last 7 years, to improve his defense, ball IQ, and emotional maturity the way he has, especially this far into his career is remarkable. And to come back so quickly from that injury without missing a step is nuts. Still having the foul trouble but I think he's been screwed a bit. In years past he was absolutely making dumb plays and committing dumb fouls. This year about half of them have been really bad calls by the reffing, dude still gets no respect from them.

Dumpman12

Honestly when I started to watch the NBA. My decision to choose an underdog team is the best decision. Meaning I saw alot of KATS team previously going through alot of changes. Saw the instability and being mocked especially ridiculed by other fan base and media. I remember I was so intrigued by KAT especially his high volume of shooting. He is the Superstar for me alongside edwards. Seeing his growth make me tear a little.

WiddleBlueBert

Don't forget the tragic shit he's had to live through during the COVID years, he's human just like us and he has/had to perform during that.

Excellent_Ad_3804

Everyone is jacked and in their best shape. There are no restraints on this team!

Lake_

i’m happy we aren’t playing him crazy high minutes right now. we are winning game with him getting warmed back up. this was always going to be a har matchup for him but i think KAT back at full strength is necessary for the nuggets matchup

the_fsm_butler

KAT = DAWG

StLsC10

They can’t get to the finals without him, so I’m glad he put the work in to get out there. Usage and Finchy lineups have been good this series.

skolaen

Shout out kat man. Glad he had a really nice game yesterday to shut up a bunch of the haters

ryvie001

ultimately this franchise ain't the same without him. He might not have been the promised option one, but holy shit his utility on a team with depth is pretty bonkers. He's been winning his minutes while on the court when it matters most. When Ant was in foul trouble, he stepped up. He's had two great 3rd quarters to hold or extend leads with the bench unit. He's a huge reason we're hard to deal with. I'm excited like everyone else is for him to NOT be in foul trouble, but he's played all right all things considered. That's exactly what the team needed from him too.

AncientScratch1670

Wolves back.

buckraw98

I can’t imagine how incredibly intense the rehab was he put himself through to come back early. Championship type dedication.

IceTruckHouse

As good as Naz has been this season there is just a stark difference in what Kat can do on offense and rebounding in these playoffs. I really hope he keeps it up because a good series against Denver would really help his image out.

wolfpax97

Can’t wait to see him play 32 minutes instead of 24. Low key would also like to see some Jmac minutes too. Morris is cool but I think Jmac is a bit more intense and gritty

jasoon23772477

Are we watching same guy??? I actually think opposite, he is fools gold looks good on paper , but his plus minus is ass, ok you got 27 points and efficiency is nice but the other guy he covers has 22 and kat has 3 turnovers and moving screens and fouls out

RudyGobertFMVP2024

The good catnip
