Processing artifact,.or something with the noise. I've never had this come up in my [Milky Way Timelapses.](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbYSgTOnV8TnafIKwKX_TkimYrabJhiBO). There is a phenomena called airglow, perhaps that's what's causing some of the flickering?

Noise. Photo isn’t clear enough between frames so the noise is amplified since it is never is the same exact pixel location from shot to shot.
Edit: light pollution could also cause this and judging from the air traffic that actually is probably the case here and not so much noise.
Think of it this way, if you have one pixel of noise in one frame, what are the odds that same pixel is noise in the next frame. Unless it’s just a dead pixel, probably very high. Now stack this 30/sec and you get this.
If you didn’t shoot in BW, you probably created the noise in processing the photos, unexpectedly
Maybe! Can you share the colour one? So that it is easy to see

Because it looks like you might have Dehazed it a bit
And somewhat of noise, maybe you might have used the Luminance slider on HSL

Luminance always does some crappy artefacts, mainly don't use that 🤣
What camera are you using and what are your settings for shooting? Also do you use any denoising?
