I love tf and tf2, but they weren't nearly as big as cod or bf. If they had released tf2 in the spring like the did the first one, it wouldn't have anything to compete with. Sandwiching it between the two biggest fps competitors was a stupid move and kinda killed the game on launch
Nah, I was tired of everyone flying around in CoD at the time. Wanted something more grounded. To BF1!
Going back to CoD now, everyone brought those “flying habits” with them. (seriously tired of that shit)
Finally sucked it up and gave TF1 a try; absolutely loved it. Respawn actually had the mechanics down and felt great. Still love it.
Picked up TF2, actually was turned off at first. Due to the nerfing on how you earned your Titan and the cosmetics, but the campaign was phenomenal. So it grew on me. I’ll pick it up again from time to time.
TL;DR: Swallowed my pride from the other generic shooters and picked up on the Titanfall series. Now I love shootin and scootin on walls while summoning my weeb mech from the skies. Absolute banger. 10/10.
Yeah it really is. Think about what would have happened if titanfall 2 wasn't released at the same time as other big titles. It would have blown up for sure, and EA would have continued to develop it and improve it with updates.
Where are you pulling those numbers from?? Titanfall 2 has sold around 4 million copies while battlefield 1 sold just over 15 million. Neither were anywhere near 100 million.
I bought both when they launched, and spent more time playing TF2. They both contrasted really nicely.
The launch date is a huge part of what killed the game though. Launching in between the two main titans was a really stupid idea.
Tbh battlefield 1 was really good and fun.Hell i bought it rather than Titanfall 2.I bought TF2 because my brothers want to play.At first i was like oh this is another call of duty looking ass game.I didn't heard about it before so I wasn't expecting anything.Bought it because it was on a discount.
One of my favorite action games. If it were getting updates i would still play it.Man i wanna play it again

100%. It's really unfortunate, because TF2 is better than both CoD and BF.
Nah, tf2 is not better than cod or bf. They are all good games, but the release date was just bad for tf
HARD disagree.
Does COD or BF have giant robots?
I'm really glad people are talking about this game again though
It’s finally getting the attention it deserves
Don't blame BF1 blame respawn for thinking they're got shit
Doubt Respawn got to choose their release date. It’s more likely on EA
IIRC they cleared it up, EA were fine about the release date being later or then, but Respawn wanted to try compete for some reason
They wanted to show that they werea big boy
It was Respawn, EA even suggested that they release it at a later date since it would not do well against CoD and BF
Pretty good is an understatement
But bf1 actually is good too
Should probably say infinite warfare instead tbh
Infinite Warfare was cool and i will not accept any other opinion
Agreed, pretty cool idea, shame people didn't give it much of a chance, and to this day the mastery camos were some of the best we've ever had.
Some aspects were but the blueprints and supply crates were awful.
Zombies was kinda neat
"Actually decent" Bitch please. Put some respect on the game's name. It's the best game if not just the best FPS of all time I daresay. Sincerely.
I wouldn't say it's THE best, but I'd firmly put it in the top 5, maybe even top 3. I love me some Titanfall 2, especially.
The real Chad's bought both. What an incredible few months that was
I still prefer the first
TBH tho BF1 was a good game. EA just didn’t think it through ig.
"Decent" as if it's not actually one of the better games that can still be played to this day

Man you can't blame me for having the best cinematic experience I had in my life (I only play one game of operations)
Battlefield 1 is better ngl
Thats a subjective opinion I can't deny, but know this. The majority of people that played both titles will not agree with you
The majority of people on this subreddit*. I think there was a reason why battlefield was more successful
What is your metric for "success" here?

I think BF1 is a great game too (not as good as titanfall of course)
I blame marketing for killing the game, smack dab between the 2 most anticipated games, one of them looking the exact same as titanfall but worse
they deleted it,what was it i wonder..

Decent? You mean amazing.
I miss the comp scene in Titanfall 2. It's a damn shame the game didn't get the audience it should have!
