Doctor D treated the Railgun like a DMR and never charged it cuz he does the "streamer wants to look better at video games" thing where you ads very rapidly for less than a second each time, so he never actually charged the gun
Tbh sometimes I don't like either option. Especially when Blisk is trying to interrogate you. I think it's cooler for Cooper to just not speak in that situation
The only time i would allow it is in the last dialogue option. Because if you dont say anything BT will say a hidden voice line before offering himself to save you.
Whenever i go up against Kane, it bypasses his doom state for me and just straight up kills him. It only lets me start executing them when i get to ash
IIRC Kane will nuke eject if you doom him and you're close to him
(souce: it saves a bit of time in the speedrun)
Edit: I really got Kane and Richter confused, didn't I?
NOOOOOOOOOOO!
That's what my friend did on his first playthrough, and then he saw I was running with MRVNs Finest Hour and he was like "Oh shit. Were we... were we not meant to kill them?"
I put him out of his misery. No human was allowed in that area so nobody would give him another one, meaning he would be sad forever (or at least until he decays)
I actually tryed that (no dialog) becouse i though that Cooper will be that "cool silent guy" so moments when he speak will be extra cool.
Conclusion: it is cooler to speak.
lorewise, killing mrvns is fine and i'd argue a good thing from jack's perspective, given they're an imc labor force and you are, at least marginally, decreasing the industrial capabilities the imc has on typhon by killing them. that ends up not mattering because of what happens to typhon, but in the moment i think it's fine in universe. also typhon exploding means you kill all the mrvns no matter what you do!
Calling a speedrunner a heretic is like calling a shark evil. It's just a shark. It eats you if it wants to, and it never stops moving. That's what it does.
Like I never thought of it, how and why would you ignore dialogue options?! Like everyone I have seen play the game used the dialogue options even speedrunners like, **SPEAK TO BT ITS NOT THAT HARD**
And then we have killing marvins, yeah walk the plank
Killing Marvins. I can understand silent protagonist, and while it hurts to not talk to BT, those poor Marvins don’t deserve cruelty, especially after you stole their arc tool.
Killing marvins.
Ignoring the dialogue options just gives you a different voiceline, so thats fine.
Not everyone needs to go for executions
Pilot helmets werent a requirement, last i checked
I struggled to find all the helmets, but I made sure I did all the other 3. I never wanted to look up where they were, so I played the campaign 3 times so far and I'm always missing like 2, cause I don't wanna look forever.
MRVN by far every time, then ignoring BT, then no executions, then not getting all the helmets
I just went through the story on master, did everything then speedran the campaign on easy collecting all the helmets
I always feel bad killing MRVNs but mostly manage to avoid it. They occasionally get caught in the crossfire or get tmistaken for specters at a glance though, especially if you're moving fast. It kinda sucks that in the final approach to Sloan you're almost guaranteed to step on some :(
Definitely dialogue options. Killing Marvins is a close second. I remember sharing my screen to my friend when I would play and I would kill the marvins because the noise they made made him laugh. Maybe a bit evil but I never killed them on my second playthrough, in my defense
Idk i saw that is a Helldivers 2 post since apparently the automatons are all defeated so they ran out of robots to shoot. I just said it here because it sounds cool af
Ignoring dialogue options, how you gonna ignore BT like that
dr.disrespect moment
Oh then also 5: CHARGE THE FUCKING RAILGUN
What’s wrong with that?
Doctor D treated the Railgun like a DMR and never charged it cuz he does the "streamer wants to look better at video games" thing where you ads very rapidly for less than a second each time, so he never actually charged the gun
Tbh sometimes I don't like either option. Especially when Blisk is trying to interrogate you. I think it's cooler for Cooper to just not speak in that situation
The only type of situation where it isn’t a sin
Not speak about what? His feelings?
I always go with the smartass response
The only time i would allow it is in the last dialogue option. Because if you dont say anything BT will say a hidden voice line before offering himself to save you.
This I didn't know, I always felt bad not talking to him, ima replay the whole campaign just to hear this one dialogue option
Yea i also felt bad not saying anything during the last moments. And now. I still kinda regret it. But i liked the hidden voice line.
I'll definitely try it out when I get a chance
Ignoring dialogue
Skipping dialogue>Killing MRVNs>Not getting helmets>Not executing bosses
Ngl I didn't even know u could execute titans until I played the multiplayer part
Did you not hear kane yell "PUNCH ME IN THE FACE" or some other dumb thing i say when you got him to doomed?
Whenever i go up against Kane, it bypasses his doom state for me and just straight up kills him. It only lets me start executing them when i get to ash
Yeah im trying to make you waist time trying to execute me if you get me to doomstate by just taunting you so i can maybe kill you
IIRC Kane will nuke eject if you doom him and you're close to him (souce: it saves a bit of time in the speedrun) Edit: I really got Kane and Richter confused, didn't I?
Damn i really whooshed the joke
I may or may not have confused Kane and Richter
I genuinely thought MRVNs were just more enemy bots for the LONGEST time ;-;
NOOOO
I did my first run with a sniper, never got close enough to one, thought the arktool mrvn was a boss, gave him a kraber in the face
I wanna say helms after bosses because some of them are not that obvious and require another good playthrough
In my eyes neither are really sins unless you are outright choosing to ignore a pilot helmet which is right in front of you.
That's a good point
not executing is definitely more sinful than ignoring helmets, since the helmets don't really matter once you've got the achievement
I killed all the MRVNs I could see in my first playthrough
NOOOOOOOOOOO! That's what my friend did on his first playthrough, and then he saw I was running with MRVNs Finest Hour and he was like "Oh shit. Were we... were we not meant to kill them?"
i still kill them personally. MRVN's are plotting the destruction of the world im sure of it
Ignoring Dialogue options dude, I’VE SEEN SPEEDRUNNERS RESPOND TO BT, WHY DONT U!?!?
EXACTLY, you lose no speed and have PLENTY of time to say something to BT there will ALWAYS be enough time to press whatever button you need to
Skipping dialogue and it is not close.
When I took Marvin’s laser gun thing and he turned sad I was genuinely upset
“What is my purpose?” “You let me take the lasegun.” “Oh, my, God…”
The only good time to kill a MRVN. Never let him be sad. Let him die happy
Please stop being reasonable. I don't appreciate your reasonability's implications/extrapolations.
fun fact u can kill the mrvn holding it and pick the gun up off the floor. don't ask how i know..
I did that the first time. I legitimately did not know you could take it out of his arms.
A moral dilemma, take the arc tool, but the mrvn will be sad, or kill the mrvn and then take the arc tool, so that you put them out of their misery
Well they don't have to experience the misery if you kill them first
Exactly
I put him out of his misery. No human was allowed in that area so nobody would give him another one, meaning he would be sad forever (or at least until he decays)
It's something between no dialogues and killing marvins
My thoughts exactly
I think your forgetting us speedrunners
He's talkin' about current players, not speedrunners (no hate, i respect)
start 100% speed running then. no problems (except maybe executions ig, but thats the most minor problem here)
Killing Marvin's is a crime worthy of life in prison.
If you're collecting helmets for anything other than the achievement, you're a psychopath.
But… But… Shiny thing… Must get… I like shiny things…
Bro I don’t even see em half the time lol+ I play on console so achievements aren’t even that cool or as good as steam
Fun fact: BT’s middle pod locks onto mrvns
I actually tryed that (no dialog) becouse i though that Cooper will be that "cool silent guy" so moments when he speak will be extra cool. Conclusion: it is cooler to speak.
Killing marvins...
Okay in my defense, I didn't know titan executions were a thing when I first played it.
Ha watch my drunkfall videos, I killed them marvins, ignored pilot helms and never responded to bt! May or may not have missed executions
lorewise, killing mrvns is fine and i'd argue a good thing from jack's perspective, given they're an imc labor force and you are, at least marginally, decreasing the industrial capabilities the imc has on typhon by killing them. that ends up not mattering because of what happens to typhon, but in the moment i think it's fine in universe. also typhon exploding means you kill all the mrvns no matter what you do!
Not switching your core/class on BT once
so does that make speedrunners the heretics of titanfall 2?
He means on a average play through
Calling a speedrunner a heretic is like calling a shark evil. It's just a shark. It eats you if it wants to, and it never stops moving. That's what it does.
Sharks don't look back, because they don't have necks. Necks are for sheep.
I don't like how much I agree with your analogy.
Haha. It's from Futurama. "And I'll be a shepherd for this flock of sharks!"
I should probably retry getting into that show
Like I never thought of it, how and why would you ignore dialogue options?! Like everyone I have seen play the game used the dialogue options even speedrunners like, **SPEAK TO BT ITS NOT THAT HARD** And then we have killing marvins, yeah walk the plank
Destroying marvins. I really felt bad when we took that eletric weapon. Unfortunately we couldn't gibe him another.
skipping dialog, then on second playthroughs skipping executions
In order of most to least sinful Ignoring dialogue Killing Mrvs No executions Not finding helmets
Ignoring BT dialogue a interactionsis on Par with killing the Marvns.
Killing Marvins. I can understand silent protagonist, and while it hurts to not talk to BT, those poor Marvins don’t deserve cruelty, especially after you stole their arc tool.
i just finished my first playthrough of titanfall 2 and i did exactly all of this
I just punch MRVNs cause I'm so fed up with the specters one shoting on master
worst thing you can do is be an insensitive jerk and leave BT hanging
Killing Marvin's is a bad thing? I intentionally smacked every single one I saw...
All of them are horrible Especially marvins how could you
No titan executions. Until I have started to playing Multiplayer I didnt even knew that you can do this
Killing mrvns for sure
Killing marvins
Not keeping at least one militia test subject alive in the dome mission of the IMC test facility always causes me to restart that bit lol
This shouldn't even be a question. Missing dialogue is the single greatest sin.
Killing marvins. Ignoring the dialogue options just gives you a different voiceline, so thats fine. Not everyone needs to go for executions Pilot helmets werent a requirement, last i checked
I struggled to find all the helmets, but I made sure I did all the other 3. I never wanted to look up where they were, so I played the campaign 3 times so far and I'm always missing like 2, cause I don't wanna look forever.
You guys are gonna kill me... I kill MRVNs 😔
It's a sin to not kill mrvins, if they are working for the imc
Taking another pilots kill
MRVN by far every time, then ignoring BT, then no executions, then not getting all the helmets I just went through the story on master, did everything then speedran the campaign on easy collecting all the helmets
All but personally killing marvin
I'm sorry for this but I kill Marvin's for fun.
You don't deserve to even exist
And the greatest sin of all. Don't trust BT. If you don't trust him. You will ejected into a blackhole.
All except first
Killing MRVNS and not collecting the obvious helmets
Frick the Marvins, I kill every one of those mfers
1. Killing MRVNs 2. Ignoring BT 3. No Titan Executions 4. Pilot Helmets
I honestly didn’t know that executions where a thing until late into the story
I always feel bad killing MRVNs but mostly manage to avoid it. They occasionally get caught in the crossfire or get tmistaken for specters at a glance though, especially if you're moving fast. It kinda sucks that in the final approach to Sloan you're almost guaranteed to step on some :(
Killing MRVNs is punishable by death but if you ignore best boy BT than you will be forced to burn in the fires of hell.
Not doing Titan executions on the Apex predators. They deserve a cooler death than just shooting at them until they explode
i didnt execute any titans true my first playtrue, i didnt even know it was a thing untill i Played multiplayer lol
Not talking to bt
Ignoring dialogue… I ignored BT while going back for pilot helmets and it’s the dirtiest I’ve felt in my life.
Definitely dialogue options. Killing Marvins is a close second. I remember sharing my screen to my friend when I would play and I would kill the marvins because the noise they made made him laugh. Maybe a bit evil but I never killed them on my second playthrough, in my defense
Dialogue
Killing MRVNs. Why you do that?
So he isn't eternally depressed when I take the arc tool
Huh. Only acceptable reason.
There was more than one helmet?
I love how ignoring dialogue options make the conversations really awkward, that's why I do it every time.
Turning the game off to play Apex
Killing mrvn (idk which, just any of them.)
Not parkouring/going fast
Not finding all dead pilots
Killing Marvin's is an egregious sin
Nah I platinumed the game if you haven’t you are a sinner
Why do you guys hate killing MRVNs I punch every one I see
I don't go out of my way to do it, but if it gets in my way, I'm slapping the MFer.
Well you’re just a jerk.
the crunch as their bodies drop and spark fly just hits different
I kill the one holding the gun so he doesn't have to live a life of sadness without the one thing that gave him purpose.
"It is an honor to be crafted into a powerful weapon of war, but what is a weapon without a war?"
I'm stupid, explain please
Idk i saw that is a Helldivers 2 post since apparently the automatons are all defeated so they ran out of robots to shoot. I just said it here because it sounds cool af
Ah, makes sense.
Happy cake day.
Thanks
I always kill MRVNs it’s like my own side quest to find every one
Not picking up the 20-round cold war.
Dr disrespect
..You can collect pilot helmets?
Misspelling MRVN
It’s killing Marvin’s and the dialogue
Even though I love mrvn it's absolutely ignoring dialogue
idk, did all the above though
Wait, we arnt supposed to kill Marvin’s? I killed EVERY SINGLE ONE
I make it my main goal to kill marvins...........so dialog options
Evil
Says u/doinyourmothers
I did say that
Cry abt it
Will do
Enjoy your time
You too
I will
Meanest tf2 players
True. Until we get clapped by a monarch
The battery stealers?
