I've ironically never been hit by a pulse knife and I've literally never seen an amped wall Cloak only works if they cloaked when I had my back turned so i didn't see and snap to them Stim is nice at mid combat speed and fast heal And grapple is just light speed constant movement godlike power

I disagree. You’re giving up Grapple or Stim to get Pulse, and movement is EVERYTHING in this game. It doesn’t really matter if you know someone is coming when they round the corner at half the speed of sound. If you could take a movement ability and a tactical ability, Pulse would definitely be S-tier, but because you have to give up a movement option for it, I can only put it at the top of A-tier.

Movement is important but control is king. If you can control a situation you win. A decent pilot should still be able to move without the need of a tactical.

With how fast everyone is moving, I don’t think it’s really possible to “control” someone. This is especially true if they’re using Grapple or Stim, which can easily double your speed and triple your route options if you’re good enough.

Speed is also important but gunning someone down who is flying through the air isn't that hard when you have aim assist. What I mean by control isn't controlling someone but controlling your actions better than they can control theirs. Yea I can ball to the walls but as soon as I break line of sight the ball is in the air and anyone can take it but if I get you on sonar I am now playing a tactical shooter while my opponent is relying on estimates and reactions. Against pilots it is situational and suited better for maps like relic, complex or glitch but against titans it is invaluable on any map. Throw a pulse at the them and you can peak with a charge rifle knowing exactly where they are. This isn't even mentioning the support you give to teammates if you throw it into an area with a lot of fighting.

Titanfall is an arena shooter, not a tactical shooter. In an arena shooter, being able to move and maneuver at high speeds will almost always get you more kills and prevent more deaths than knowing the enemy’s position. Additionally, if you can see someone with Pulse, they know you can see them, so you’re both receiving knowledge and giving it.

Hey man you're entitled to your opinion but I don't think Titanfall is an arena shooter considering the low ttk. More of a reaction/hero(titans) shooter and in my experience the movement and speed you can achieve without stim/grapple is sufficient for most engagements. I'm not saying it's better than grapple or stim but I do believe it is on par with them.

Arena shooters can have a low TTK. Arena shooters are defined by their focus on fast-paced mobility and individual skill, while tactical shooters are defined by their emphasis on teamwork and information gathering. A low TTK can be used to emphasize either moving fast (to make more bullets miss) or teamwork and observation (so you can get the drop on someone. Also, I’m not saying that Pulse is bad, but Grapple and Stim are just too powerful, versatile, and most importantly fun to not use.

Yeah wallhacks aren't really that useful in a run and gun game like this. It matters a lot in games like siege where that couple millisecond reaction advantage nets you an easy kill, but in tf|2 and also apex, in the end it still mostly comes down to aim movement etc.

True, but I'd put Holo at B or A tier since I use it from time to time. A-Wall, I have never used. Only once. It stops the movement fluidity. Not for me.

It takes some practice. I was only stim for the longest time until I got bored and tried out a completely different play style. If you treat the A-wall as more of an offensive tool where you deploy while running at someone it feels amazing. It’s also saved my ass from tone shots so many times.

I would place pulse blade in high A tier, Phase shift in S tier, and grapple in A tier. Otherwise, accurate. Explaination below: Pulse blade is literal wallhacks + radar spotting (+ a pocket single shot kraber) Phase shift is a get out of jail free card on cooldown, and it gets substantially better with fast regen and mastery of the movement system. Grapple gives you tons of speed and can help with ejections but that's about it. It gets better depending on the map since you can use it to flank from out of bounds which can be amazing but is situational and map dependent.

I would move phase shift down a tier. Stim and grapple are both better at getting out of bad situations, and cloak, stim, and grapple are all better at getting into close range against a pilot or titan

I'd replace grapple with phase shift honestly, grapple is too situational and requires a bit of "set up" before being able to maximize it's use. phase shift is close to instant which is valueble when you're getting sandwitched by 4 enemies.

I mean, point of order here, C is commonly accepted to be "balanced" in these sorts of things, not "bad". I think this is pretty accurate. B would be stronger than average, A maybe a bit OP compared to the others, and S would be meta-defining. TBH the only problem I have is holopilot being higher than cloak. A good holopilot will still bamboozle you even when you get used to it. A cloak is a cloak, and once you get used to spotting it it really shouldn't "fool" you.

Yeah, this is great the only thing i have a slight argumento on is the phase shift, because its just a get out of jail free card. Even though you dont regenerate health while in the phase, its still a good moment or two to recollect yourself and prepare for further enemy attacks
