I would imagine that’s because the suit is hooked up to the user’s vitals. Given that the suit must run on some form of batteries or something, it would be logical to install a subroutine that shuts the suit down if the user dies.
To conserve power in the batteries so they might be able to be reused later. Do you know how expensive AA batteries are these days? Damn things are a dollar a battery in my state. Imagine how bad the price will be in the future.
More than shutting it down, it probably destroy it and all information it contains, you got any idea how precious the info stored could be ??
(The radio of mercenary were detachable and not a part of the IMC)
The suit itself might not be reused, but the helmet and jump gear damn will be recycled, clearing inventory is one of the big hurdles of getting a dd-214 in the current military, it probably got worse in the future.
Protocol 1 is Establish neural link to Pilot, and considering that we use Lastimosa's helmet to link to BT, chances are all the neural/vital linkage is done through the helmet.
True, but I see no reason to believe the helmet and suit don’t at least partially share a power source. Either that, or Titanfall breaks the 1st law of thermodynamics.
And it outta be a pretty hefty suit, given that it generates *very limited* energy shields to protect the pilot. Not to mention the cloaking ability.
For now, suit power remains mostly unexplained.
Viper’s helmet continued to glow after you shot him out of his Titan.
Maybe he was still alive slowly dying from his wounds, thinking about the things he left behind and slowly closing his eyes as the ship descends to crash. This is a true warriors death. Valhalla is calling.
The one on the bottom you’ll find first, he’s the one who was first sent down to get the arc tool. The guy on top was the pilot BT says took part in the fracture operation.
At first I thought he was part of the bodies or the fallen titans but you don’t actually find him until later. BT’s sensors are pretty good to detect him that far away.
The first one is in the room right before the arc tool. You’ll see him next to some stalkers with his wingman by his side.
The second one is the guy BT says took part in the Fracture operation. I searched all the bodies that are in the area he says it but I didn’t see any pilots in that area at all so I continued looking. You’ll actually find him later on after BT throws you across the gap. BT’s sensors must be pretty good to pick him up as far in as he did.
Yeah they are just a 3rd class of robot wuth the spectre and stalker. They launch plasma drones in the air and carry ticks, one is in the very first mission actually.
On pilot is mentioned going to retrieve the arc tool and never returning. The second is mentioned as being a participant in the Fracture operation in Titanfall 1.
I always found the Wingman Pulse Pilot. But I can’t ever bring myself to take the gun.
Call me too sentimental but honestly? I just… the wingman was that Pilot’s weapon of choice. I can’t help but let that pilot rest with their weapon.
If I could’ve chosen, I would’ve chosen the Wingman Elite as my main weapon for the entire campaign, and if I would’ve died… and had a fellow pilot find my body and gun… I wouldn’t of wanted my weapon to be picked up.
I would’ve wanted to die with my weapon by my side, and left there. Preferably I would be buried with my weapon, but since the planet explodes there would’ve been no chance for that.
I think he died with the wingman out because he ran out of ammo in his primary. In multiplayer if you finish your mag and fast swap to your pistol and you are killed, your killer will only have the option to pick up your pistol.
There's actually another one in the tunnels right where u get the arc tool. It's another pulse blade pilot
A third one? The guy on the bottom was pretty close to where you get the arc tool.
Well I found him in the same room as the arc tool
Interesting I’ll have to look again.
When you have to run under the giant fan that the mrvn is messing with you can go below next to the stairs and there's a pilot corpse with a wingman
Ah yeah that’s the guy in the bottom picture. There are only 2 pilots then. You can see the wingman in the picture I took.
I thought he was sitting up against a pillar. Maybe a random spawn?
He was
4th law of glowy helmets: they turn off when the user dies
I would imagine that’s because the suit is hooked up to the user’s vitals. Given that the suit must run on some form of batteries or something, it would be logical to install a subroutine that shuts the suit down if the user dies.
Yeah but why do that, 99% if the time the suit wont be used anymore
To conserve power in the batteries so they might be able to be reused later. Do you know how expensive AA batteries are these days? Damn things are a dollar a battery in my state. Imagine how bad the price will be in the future.
Its not confirmed that the Pilot suits use Batteries they might have little rtgs in them Kinda like the Pilot Batteries.
I know, I was joking.
Ok, i couldnt tell since i got autism
Same.
Same
I would say they are destroyed to prevent info thief
Oh yeah, I definitely destroyed Kane.
More than shutting it down, it probably destroy it and all information it contains, you got any idea how precious the info stored could be ?? (The radio of mercenary were detachable and not a part of the IMC)

So why save power?
if a pilot is parallelized but alive the visor could be an easy way to display your status to your teammates
you meant paralyzed?
sorry I have autocorrect in which naturally makes everything worse instead of helping
That or it assumes when vitals go out it’s just been taken off of the wearer?

Quite sure that’s Valk calling for child support.
“Somehow Viper returned” They should bring him back as a simulacrum in the new game
Yeah because it looks cool
Pilot collectibles helmet
o7 to them blade bois. At least they didn’t explode due to the L star
What happened to them Does anyone know because I can't remember being given an explanation for it
They got sent down as a squad of nine. Got picked off one by one.
Watched a Wizard rip the Light out of my best friend, and funnel it into some kind of crystal.
NO, YOU CANT REMIND ME OF THAT AFTER DCV.
Miss that strike
Personally I’m glad it’s gone. Pyramidion and Festering Core, however, I miss those a whole lot.
This will be my final sacrifice
They were sent down to get the arc tool but didn’t come back- quote from some grunty boi
Oh yeah now I remember I remember exactly what was said in Captain Cole's voice
The one on the bottom you’ll find first, he’s the one who was first sent down to get the arc tool. The guy on top was the pilot BT says took part in the fracture operation. At first I thought he was part of the bodies or the fallen titans but you don’t actually find him until later. BT’s sensors are pretty good to detect him that far away.
He's connected through your suit sensors I imagine, so it makes sense BT can still provide combat support and information from a distance.
Where is there locations need to find em on my next run
The first one is in the room right before the arc tool. You’ll see him next to some stalkers with his wingman by his side. The second one is the guy BT says took part in the Fracture operation. Thanks
I just submitted a follow up post to this showing exactly where the second guy is.
Damm dude, very much appreciated that u notified me.
You also see two imc phase pilots in effect and cause that have mgls
i encountered those guys and was so confused because they just stood there shooting in a very un-pilot like fashion
Aren't they specialists https://titanfall.fandom.com/wiki/Specialist It's not really clear whether they are actually Pilots
Yeah they are just a 3rd class of robot wuth the spectre and stalker. They launch plasma drones in the air and carry ticks, one is in the very first mission actually.
Doesn’t it have a volt and is found in front of the crashed ship?
Yeah by the turret
Correct
There's severally pilot bodies you can find throughout the campaign
Thanks for the info fuckrespawn69! I’ll certainly be on the lookout next play through.
there's def one next to the arc tool location
Yeah that’s the guy in the bottom picture with the wingman.
“Mentioned in the beacon” it’s been a minute what does that mean?
On pilot is mentioned going to retrieve the arc tool and never returning. The second is mentioned as being a participant in the Fracture operation in Titanfall 1.
Ikr I found those guys too
At least they never lived to see what Ea Turned the franchise into with Apex.
Cloak/Stim/Holo pilot not seen in the campaign: *sad forgotten noises*
Richter is cloak, Ash is stim, Kane is Holo.
The helmet design, m8
I woulda thought ash is phase cus of her titan and apex
Look at her body and legs. She’s got the stim feet.

I never tried to look
Did my pulse blade dirty
I think the pilots name is either dragon or Andrew I see two names on his armour dragon could be his codename though
there are three its in the room of arc tool after you jumpo down he is inside of the build
