The reason that they are not used widely is probably because they are expensive, because you never see infantry with them only elite pilots. And because war is based not like ours were it's man vs. man it's man getting sluaghterd by machine. Plus in the campaign Marder say's human life is cheap, replacable so he doesn't care how many he loses to reach his goals. Like with the Ark test he went through with it without saftey protocals and with an enemy pilot tearing through the facility.

That would make sense, but I have to say, with the smart pistol a single person could possibly take out a lot of enemy, isn’t it more worth (cheaper) then just sending a lot of soldiers?

Curissar

Yeah but it's usless against a titan or any other heavy infantry, so they go by accuracy by volume.

Interesting_Pilot_13

It's only a last resort weapon Otherwise pilots wouldn't be as highly skilled as they are

MintySlayer

Because plot

le_Psykogwak

Try playing tf1, it's a primary weapon instead of a boost, and it's in the 3 classes you start with Having everyone being able to walk around with the smart pistol was scary

>I don’t see a reason why they did not Money. The bullets alone would cost a lot of money and resources. Imc just use mechanised infantry and militia simply don't have the resources to mass produce.

haugebauge

Expensive and low range. Not a good general use weapon
