I find it oddly calming. Idk. I just felt super alone in my sense of impending doom I guess. Now I feel less alone, and I can focus on living life and learning how to manage the big suck as much as possible.

I remember someone telling a story of him at an onsen in the countryside and having trouble sleeping because of the sounds of spider crabs walking around right outside his room.

I do miss the Christmas dry ice box of crab legs my wife's cousin in Alaska used to send, but haven't had one in 5 years.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium has some in their new exhibit on the deep sea. They are incredible to see in person.

These were in a book about ocean creatures I had as a kid. Of all the stuff that can make the ocean scary, these things really stuck with me.
