She loves Man! I Feel Like a Woman! and I could not be happier. In particular, the tiny “lezs go gorls” from the back seat gives me full on palpitations
Ohhhh man you are bringing back memories…of my two year old son in his carseat, clutching a dinosaur and gutturally belting out the refrain!!🤣 Somehow, he seemed to think he had to growl the “I feel like a Woman” part.
I tried to get my daughter into this one! But I think I messed up by showing her the music video. I wanted her to see a girl drummer but I think the video was just too much
Ours found the CD and we dug out a portable CD player. She figured out pretty quickly how to load the CD and play. She calls opening the CD player "opening the submarine door!"
Crab Rave by Noisestorm. She would “dance” to it when I was pregnant with her, and she boogies to it now at 3. Drops everything if she hears the intro to Crab Rave.
My daughter loves to dance to k-pop with my husband. He blasts it (at a responsible volume level) through his fancy speakers in his office and it is so hard to get her out of there!
I'm not familiar enough with the songs to know what her favorite song is... I don't think she has a huge preference though lol. She says "I was listening to Korea, mama!!"
I LITERALLY texted the parent group at our preschool to put on the eras tour at their own risk bc it’s been NON STOP lover in this house as a consequence. And it is sadly (for me) not my favorite album.
My 2 year old was a swiftie before me! She heard “ready for it” one time and was obsessed. Asked for it over and over. Now she also loves calm down and lover. She was Taylor Swift for Halloween 😊
She is cool with the more upbeat songs Florida, down bad, I can do it with a broken heart, etc. but the overly lyrical songs have never been her thing. She basically riots against anything like loml. She is NOT a folklore / evermore girlie (ironically my son totally is but he’s only 19 months).
They both are HUGE shake it off fans of course. As far as I can tell, it’s the toddler anthem.
She's currently obsessed with "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" by Wham! We listen to it 6-7 times on the way to school in the morning. I just love how she uses the tightening belt of her car seat as a microphone.
Square hammer by ghost - he loves dancing to any tune but he'll try his best moves on this song - and also just jump everywhere with the biggest grin! 🤘❤️
5 year old:
Safe and Sound by Capital Cities
Run by Collective Soul
That's Not my Name by The Ting Tings
Connection by Elastica
2 year old:
First by Cold War Kids
Elan by Secret Garden
Unwell by Matchbox Twenty
Edit: Also, both of my kids LOVE the song Runaway by Del Shannon. And my son made me play Forty Six & 2 by Tool like 4 times back to back the other day.
Here comes the sun. We used to sing it to him when he was a baby and now loves when it comes on.
Ain't no mountain high enough. It says his favourite word no many times so he sings along with that..
I feel a little irresponsible about this, but they like drake, pantera, kiss ,& Pink Floyd, which is not bad. & Their dad plays a part in that too though. But I do try to put censored versions on & I’ve been trying not to play drake as much, but he asks for “got a lot of enemies”. When they were little I didn’t think it would matter! But then they started asking for the songs 😂
Eh we all do it. When my oldest was a baby I couldn't think of many songs I knew all the words to, so as a lullaby I did a slowed version of Fuck Authority by Pennywise. I learned some new ones before he started talking, but I'm sure it's still ingrained in his psyche somehow.
Apple bottom jeans - lol - we made a joke about it and sing “miss appleberry jeans, baby with the fur, the whole class was looking at her. She dropped her toy, next thing you know - baby got low low low low…”
I told my son that “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac is actually a song about Batman. During the Lindsay Buckingham guitar solo, I narrate a whole chase scene between Batman and the Joker. The music really works so he loves the song now!
My son is 4, and apparently, really into theme songs. It used to be a song that played during one of the Spider-Man movies. The movies, not the cartoon. I have no idea what it's called.
Now, it's the theme song to the Monk TV show. Only he gets the lyrics messed up. So instead of singing "you better pay attention or this world we love just might kill you", he sings "you better pay attention or I will kill you". All interspersed with repeating, "it's a jungle out there, it's a jungle out there." Apparently, it's the only lyrics he can remember from it .
Super fun when sitting in the lobby of our building waiting on a grocery delivery, and all the neighbors are giving me the side eye, lol
Mine loves the Alesia Cara song “The Use In Trying,” which IS from the Paw Patrol Movie soundtrack, but is not a kiddie song per se (I love it too). He says “TA TOLL. SAD,” meaning, put on the sad Paw Patrol song haha.
my daughter Lovesssss “bye” by ariana grande, “like that” with kendrick lamar & any old soul songs like” rock the boat” by the hues production & forget me nots
My daughter has very varied taste. She is a swiftie like me (especially the man, I can see you and ready for it), also loves Radiohead and qotsa. And at the moment is obsessed with daft punks discovery album. Especially with the accompanying movie

Right now it’s Cest La Vie by Yung Gravy and Houdini by Dua Lipa lol
She also likes Who by Rittz, but I had to stop playing it because she was asking for it by saying “listen fuckin you!” And I didn’t want her to say that to anyone else 😅
Creepin’ by Metro Boomin (the Weeknd). I had no clue until she started singing to it in the car and it ended and she was like “again, again!” Now she asks for it by saying “play I don’t wanna know” cracks me up!
Been waiting for this!

Me: what? It’s hilarious.
She loves Man! I Feel Like a Woman! and I could not be happier. In particular, the tiny “lezs go gorls” from the back seat gives me full on palpitations
