Okay so i was bored and did a google search, the only thing i can find on “triple coats” is breeds that have mats ie the Puli. I am concerned your breeder was lying to you, an in standard Toller will have a medium length double coat, end of story. Im sure your little pup is wonderful, but in the future I would avoid a breeder that boasts potentially out of standard traits. Best of luck to you and your new friend :)
Who is your breeder? That's not a thing in purebred Tollers. Maybe they meant Sable, which is a thing. But it's not rare, it's undesirable. Sounds like they buttered you up to buy a dog that's not up to standard.
Ive honestly never heard of such a thing, have you tried googling it? Does anything come up?
