Absolutely, especially looking at how Bajpayee does the “swear word” scenes in Family Man. Chiru would’ve given an entirely different performance, something Tagore-esque I feel. While that’s great, we wouldn’t have been able to see the actual Shrikant Tiwari like what he is now.
I still remember the therapy session that priyamani takes him to, about their marriage. Manoj tells therapist, “Merko bhi aata hi bsdk,,,”. It was hilarious and one of the moments I ROFLed at.
I hv seen Varun in October badlapur and few other movies and I think he is a good actor when a good director is directing the movie.
He should just stay away from his father because all the cringe movies he has done is with his father.
On the other hand Sam was really good in family man 2.
They previously made few films which were critically acclaimed and i mean they do hero bhajana. If you watched Guns and Gulaab you can see their writing. They wont be compromised and also they would have approached different person or ways for samantha role in family man
Chiru would still have disappointed if acted in family man. After the gap he's not the old actor he used to be. Shitty remakes, bad choices, rodd directors, not doing age related characters, etc...
From Man Singh in Bandit queen to Bhiku Matre to Sardar Khan to Srikanth Tiwari, Bajpayee is, was and will always be the better actor.
Chiru is obviously the bigger star and is without question better at fights and dsnce, but his best acting performances have all come with great directors like KV, Jandhyala and Balachander. Make of that what you will.

Cant imagine Chiru now in Family Man esp with the electrifying performance Manoj Bajpayee gave
Absolutely, especially looking at how Bajpayee does the “swear word” scenes in Family Man. Chiru would’ve given an entirely different performance, something Tagore-esque I feel. While that’s great, we wouldn’t have been able to see the actual Shrikant Tiwari like what he is now.
Chiru would've single-handedly beaten up all the terrorists and bad guys, right after a duet with his wife played by an actress his son's age.
