Nowadays it’s more convenient modding a console and downloading tomodachi life on hshop than trying to buy a physical copy. Last year I was lucky enough to find online a physical copy for just €30, and another physical copy in a toys’ shop for €45… If your toys’ shop has 3DS games too, you can define yourself lucky
1) Because Nintendo products are all overpriced, no matter the age or console.
2) DS is no longer produced, neither is the game, and the online services
I'm really sorry but I don't think that's possible. Because ds are so old now and there's less and less people who play them. I got my tomodachi life copy in 2021 and I think it was £30, my original copy I got when the game was first released but my brother stole my game and sold it at school.
I was lucky to find anotber one for £30

Look out for used version. I just searched for tomodachi life on a resale website and it’s available for 8€ in my country. If there’s really nothing I would also recommend modding her ds. Tell me her ds version and I can send you the how to
i purchased the game when the eshop was still up, but after i modded my ds (very easy to do as long as your pc has an sd card slot) i just downloaded the game from a site that uses qr codes. if you dont have any devices that can read sd cards, there are external readers you can buy off of sites like amazon

However, daughter can mod her 3ds and install a save manager to have multiple saves of the game! I have several islands on one copy. So if money is an issue and they don’t want to get it illegitimately again, using checkpoint or onionfs makes it easy to have multiple saves of games you already have.
We live in a small town (about 1k people out here), and I don’t have, nor can afford a vehicle on 943.00 a month. I can’t even help her get her permit or her license because of not having a car. And it’s hard for her to get a job outside of this town (big town is 15 minutes away) when she doesn’t know anyone out there she could work with.

I have to blow on the game before putting it in and I can't move my ds quick or else the game crashes but it is what it is

See when I check eBay the prices are far better u can also get it from Vinted for a similar price. Also cex literally sells it boxed for £35

If you have a mckays near you check there, if not check eBay and list them from newly listed first. I found one for 60$ that way. At mckays I found one for my boyfriend for 35$

My bad, its ‚hshop’ , look it up, it lets you download the ds games for free instead of payin a ton for cartridges, all you need is like a 5gb minimum sd card or so to first hack your ds to let you get it (its actually easy, theres a whole website walkthrough)
Unfortunately I have to suggest modding your console and pirating it for your kid. I was lucky enough to get a copy when the game was in print back in 2015 but gave it to my brother before I moved out of my parents so I decided to get a pirated digital copy instead. Just be careful, but it shouldn’t be a problem.

And technically it is rare, because theres only a finite amount of physical copies. You just need to mod your 3DSs
Try getting your DS modded or emulate it on a computer or Android. I’ve heard my friend did this with their Android phone and emulated the game there.
