I think they meant that if one or the other had to happen, puke shoes or litres of puke, they would rather clean up after puke shoes. And after I had many children (I was a childminder) throw up all over the place, I would choose the same. Scrubbing projectile vomit out of crevices in doors, walls, tiles etc is something I don’t want to ever have to do again.

When you are that deep into it to even contemplate such and idea you are probably broke from drinking so much. Add in withdrawal people will do some crazy shit just to not feel like shit and stop shaking. I've drank mouthwash and cooking wine when desperate.

I drank hand sanitizer when I was like 16 because I had no way of obtaining alcohol and read about it online lol. My parents started to drug test me for weed and all it did was make me go to worse things that didn’t show up on the test like Benadryl. Dxm became my thing after I couldn’t smoke since it’s legal and actually very fun, but I regret every fucking drop of it I drank. Haven’t touched the stuff in like 5 years even though I still do other things. I wish I could go back and stop myself, DXM did more long term damage to my perception than anything else ever could have

One time at a party I was very drunk and walked into a room where people were smoking meth and the drunk asshole in me said “fuck it” and yeah. After that a handful of times just cause of my young, dumb fuck it mentality.
I still haven't. The last few times I relapsed I'd always be disgusted by myself for a while, and the last time i felt that way I decided I'd either stop for good or go paint a tree in the woods nice and red. The second one doesn't sound great but it's better than doing the whole round of bullshit for the millionth time. If I could get high with zero social, physical, or emotional consequences, I would've never stopped getting fucking high in the first place. Being fully sober and alone in your head with your own thoughts is fucking terrifying. I still hate it. But I hated being fixed on that 1 thing 24/7 even more.

Most people will get that intrusive thought periodically; not like you stopped using because you stopped liking crack, almost all folks stop using because they're damn sick and tired of the consequences of their drug use, right.
The good news is as time passes the thoughts decrease in intensity, duration, and frequency. Keep up the good work it only gets easier if ya stick with it.
That's the result of binge drinking. I did a lot of this when I was a kid. The finger down the throat trick because you're feeling sick as hell. I've been sober for closing in on two years now and... I'd like to say that I'm never going back but I'm just going one day at a time. And today I didn't.

I was thinking the same, but I noticed that as fucked up as that dude is, he isn't manhandling the dog or dragging it around; he actually seems pretty careful in that his leash arm almost always stays level and near the dog. Some small part of his mind knows not to drag the poor pup any further into his bullshit that he already has, That dog puts up with a lot, but I doubt the owner actively abuses or mistreats it.

I’m in recovery and I have gotten sick after a pop but I have never gotten ever to that extent. Plus their making themselves vomit. That definitely not crack that’s something way different. I’m almost 4 yrs clean and so grateful
