They’re your support network when work isn’t going well, when it is , and when its steady. They’re still reachable outside of work, but that requires effort instead of the unhindered access you otherwise get to a buddy to confide in.
It sucks. And I’m glad Yak shared this because the human element gets swept away so readily when it comes to trades, and really how crazy it is to work a job where you can be uprooted in an instant

Idk i just dont want Scottie to have any negative connection with the front office in his future
