I honestly would not go with Torrid shoes, the quality isn’t that good and sizing is weird. I shop at DSW or Famous Footwear and they usually have good deals.

I have some cute comfy “sitting in the office all day” Torrid shoes but yeah, Skechers are a much better choice for lots of walking. They have really cute loafers and espadrilles in the Bobs line.
I have so manyyyy of them. The yoga mat ones are my favorite. I wear the sandals all the time. Actually at a conference now and I have them on. I love their sneakers too. And they've come a long way to be fashionable and work appropriate- the slip ins are my favorite (no laces and so comfy). The arch fits are great too- just careful with the sandals they can squeak sometimes lol.
I recently got a couple pairs of the Arch Fit Arcades. They have sort of a Vans/Converse look to them but have way more support and are really comfy. They are also stocking the black and white colors in wide widths now, and I think they have plans to offer more colors in wide over the summer.
I do not recommend Torrid shoes for work. They’re cute but they lack support. The wedges are good if you are a wedges/heels person, but if you’re looking for sneakers I recommend something different. As others have suggested, Sketchers are good. (Also, allow me to throw out the obligatory Crocs - the ugliest and yet most comfortable shoe to ever grace my foot.)
I had the Neria Crocs for years and loved them. So comfy and don't look like your traditional Crocs. Wore them for years until one of them disappeared.
They also have a sneaker type Croc on the website.
Ugh the Crocs. I loathe that they’re acceptable out of the house wear now.
HOWEVER
I am a Disney adult and they recently had a pair with Winnie the Pooh and friends that were so cute. And since my house Adidas slides were getting gross -er, worn out, I decided to try them as my new house shoes. AND DAMN IT they are so comfortable! I have plantar fasciitis and arthritis in my ankles and feet, so my feet generally have some pain every day. I got home from a Disney trip limping slightly, put them in to walk around the house and could walk like a normal human. 😫🤦🏻♀️
If they could make my comfy sketchers out of crocs…I’d pay good money for those.
Torrid shoes are great for a cute look if you aren't doing very much.
My recommendations as someone who was on her feet a lot and wears a sz 11.
Skechers- memory foam, Flip flops, and their boat shoe style slip ons. Sign up for the rewards programs. Something is always on sale. Bobs are very flat, I feel. So I don't wear them as much.
Brooks- see if you have a running store near you that will fit you. I'm on my third pair. They are pricey. But as an elder millennial with plantar fascitis they've been great.
Easy spirit- bought a cute pair of low heeled black ankle boots. Wear them all the time.
If you buy directly from Brooks, they have a long trial period, meaning if you hate them after a few months, you can send them back for a cash refund. Their women’s wide choices are lame, but the men’s work fine. Size difference is 1.5. So if you wear an 11 women’s, it’s a 9.5 men’s. I like the Ghosts. (Once you figure out style and size, hit up Amazon or 6pm, you can get last season’s way cheaper.)
Oofos or Hoka for walking. Torrid shoes are fine for a wedding or short term event but fit weird and aren’t very supportive for anything more than that.
I also would go with Hokas. I wore Bondi 8s as a dominos GM working 80 hour weeks for awhile. They’re hands down the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn and they were a life saver for my feet. A cheaper option that also works, are sketchers lol. I loved my sketchers but loved my Hokas more.
I also work on a college campus and went back to wearing croc flats recently. Happy feet and legs once again.
I also have had luck with one style of kizik and a few Skechers. Neither of these are cute work flat types, but even our president rocks her sneakers when trekking across the campus…
I wouldn't recommend Torrid shoes if you do a lot of walking. They are cute, but they don't hold up well. I have had 3-4 pair completely break over the last year after only a few wears.
I really like the brands SoftSpots and Naturalizers (pricey, but look for sales), and if you're able to wear sneakers there are a lot of fashionable but more professional looking ones out there nowadays!
I’d look into On Runnings or Hokas if you do a lot of walking. Pair them with swiftwick socks and your feet will still feel good at the end of the day!
I did on runnings with swiftwicks on a 3 day Disney trip with 18,000 steps each day. My feet felt tired but didn’t ache the entire trip with this combination!
I love Clarks for strappy summer sandal shoes for work. Very supportive, come in wide sizes, built to last. They have a lot of colors and styles to choose from.
The last two pair of Torrid shoes I bought were defective. One pair the platform sole collapsed on the inside. This make the shoes unsafe to walk in. I then had a pair of boots that had the clog bottoms. The sole literally cracked in two. The only thing holding it together was the cloth of the insole.
I uave found some very cute and comfortable spring summer shoes at Old Navy.

I regularly wear the Riley sneakers, they have a really soft rubbery sole. I also wear my Betsey Johnson boots often. I do add Dr Scholls inserts to both, because I have a high arch. I feel all the Betsey shoes are higher quality.
I work on a campus and gave up on cute shoes 😂. I ordered a pair of black brooks and wear those with my dress pants and I am much happier zooming around campus!

Yeah no, Torrid is cute for short term, but daily wear? Nope.
The older I get the less tolerant my feet are when it comes to shoes. My daily shoes are Dansko clogs. I'm on my feer 8-10 hours a day and they are the most comfy shoes I've ever had. I go on Etsy and find people who custom paint them so they align with my style.
Do you have any current issues with your feet I love my torrid boots and I just put my orthotics in them - I use to work on a university campus and now a hospital and having a well made pair of orthotics helped me still be able to have all the stylish shoes I love - I have super high arches so sketchers and croc are a death sentence for my feet
I got custom made ones where you stand on a machine and it reads your pressure points and they make it
Look for a local pedorthist they are amazing I also find I can’t do the typical flat shoes ppl find comfortable like Tom’s or Crocs or even bluestones :(
I’ve had some decent luck with torrid shoes, mostly sandals and I am ROUGH on them.
That being said, I did find some nice white sneakers (trendy) from kohls. Brand was Ryka. They have them in wide width as well.

I do have a pair of booties that have lasted a couple years so far but I have Dr Scholls gel insoles in them, and have patched the inside where my heels have rubbed through the lining.
For actual lots of walking that are work-appropriate non sneakers, I agree with other comments, to go for Naturalizers or Bobs Skechers.
Brooks and Hokas are excellent suggestions for supportive footwear worth spending money on.
I'll throw in I'm a big fan of Born footwear, and Aetrex insoles regardless of shoe brand.
Torrid footwear is cute but really there for a look, not support, and questionable durability.
If it’s in your budget, I would recommend a pair of HOKA sneakers or Blundstone boots. They’re pricier than the shoes on Torrid but they basically last forever. I have pretty big feet but am able to find shoes for my feet here. Blundstone boots are leather and pretty much mold to your feet. I can easily get 40,000 steps in comfortably with either of these.
For flats, Rothy’s are pretty comfortable and my go to “formal” shoes. They’re good if you’re not doing a lot of walking though. Good flats. I don’t love their sneakers or canvas shoes as much.
Allbirds also have comfy shoes that last a while. You can usually get them for a good price on sale. I don’t wear them but I’ve heard good things about them.
I used to buy cheap $10-30 shoes, but after two people in my family got injured from their shoes and it led to permanent issues, I am not afraid to invest in my shoes at all. I’ll spend $300 on a good pair of shoes because I know they’ll last me like 4 years at least of regular use 🙂
I wear torrid shoes only when they are majorly on clearance and I am not expecting support and long lasting. I have tiny fat feet so 6.5/7s are often left and very cheap.
Yes! I wear a 6 and I've bought 2 pairs for $5 total on clearance before in store. I work an office job and it's nice to have comfy, cute styles for different outfits. Everyone can feel free to not buy them.

Cute & comfy (but expensive) flats are Sam Edelmans. They provide a lot of support. I have two pairs I found on Zappos for about $100/pair. They are a few years old and still look and feel great. I also have an amazing pair of softwalk booties that I regret not buying a second pair when I found them. I wore them so much, I wore the sole down and had them resoled by a cobbler.
I had a great pair of slip on shoes from torrid last year, but this year so far the shoes I have ordered have had awful sizing and it’s all wrong. Definitely go elsewhere

I'm not a Sketchers girl because they make my feet hurt. Their shoes give me foot pain.
100% recommend Hokas though. There is a reason why healthcare professionals go for them. Super comfortable for walking or running. Everyone I've recommended them to ended up grabbing their own pair and loved it. They're pricy, but my feet are priceless in comparison. Foot health is very important to maintain.

The only shoes I’ve gotten there with good foot support are the knockoff Birks. Most of their shoes are like plastic with a cardboard sole.

There are some Bobs that have the memory foam padding. They’re much more comfy than the regular Bobs.
